[RELz] F.O.O.K. - The Fallout 3 Overhaul Kit #7

Post » Sat Oct 24, 2009 1:24 am

@pimpskinny
I've seen those armors in slavers, and in boxes.

As for armor-changing, it tends to make lighter armor give better skill bonuses and heavier armor give more DR, and power armor to be a friggin tank.

For some reason, some new items bandits have (new armor) flickers with different textures. This also happened with the Super Mutant spear, but I fixed that by downloading the spear resources where you got it from. Any ideas?

@ZableBlaze
Do you have texture size set to large?

Worked like a charm, thanks ^_^

Ditto. Many tanks (and thanks) TGBlank. :)

Another question - I've heard tell of some sort of plasma gatling gun in FOOK. Any hints as to where to find it? Is it some sort of ultra-rare Enclave spawn? Is it in Raven Rock, which I'm putting off until Broken Steel?

Yeah, I have textures set to large. Would that be the cause of the problem or the fix?

That'd be (a) fix. some textures don't work at all when texture size is set to anything other than large.

If installing the textures from the spear mod fixed your issues, then i'm afraid that the most likely scenario is that you forgot or misplaced one of the "fook main files", you know, the 3 200meg files.

I think that may be it. Luckily I saved all the main files in one folder, so I can get them if I ever reinstall. Right now I'm extracting them to the correct folder, I'll see what happens.

I can't find the link, but what is the translation for all the stat effect changes? I know they are shorter.

Ok i have an request.
All of the PA helmets and other things that give me a night vision effect, well its not really night vision:/...
Im just throwing an idea out here, MMM's Night ghoul eyes item(take them and gives you night vision), they work so goood...
wondering if you could use that same script?

At the moment the current night vision just puts a green shade over everything and uses the pipboy light still... So its not really helping if i use Fellout(darknights) with this, where as MMM's ghoul eyes makes it a treat:)

Um, are you asking for http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5715 or asking what they are?

Yeah, but that doesn't look like the ones FOOK is using. For example isn't small guns just SG? I was looking for a key for the ones FOOK uses. Someone posted it before but I can't find it.

@titan357

As long as textures are in the same place as fook expects them to be.

@jacobdb

Read the file description.

i read the file description, but it is a bit of a mess. if you can sort it out like this:

armors:

small weapons:

big weapons:

An easy way to see would be to open FOOK.ESM in http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=637 and expand the armor and weapon trees. There's SO many that making a list would be quite the undertaking while FO3Edit will automatically render all the dirt.
