They are a work of art. In preperation of whenever fook 2.0 is released I cleaned out my data folder and reinstalled Fallout. I can hardly wait to see what you have been up to!

credits go of course to the original authors: End of Days, defeat, flamshmizer and Wang_Chung and to Katarn our FOOK modeler for organising the permission to use it.

Is 2.0 going to adjust for the additional 10 levels due to Broken Steel? You know this is coming, just wondering if you are going ahead and planning for it.

Any thoughts on this yet?

ya, leveled lists will be adjusted for Broken Steel (we will of course also make a FOOK addon for it).

It's even about time that we can adjust them. Got so much stuff that i'd like to further spread throughout the levels so that there is actually some new stuff to discover even at very, very high levels.

Great, I'll be going on vacation until May 23 so if you can have it all ready upon my return, I'd appreciate it! :)

Seriously, great work!

It's very rewarding to find new items at higher levels. I always loved that part in FCOM for Oblivion (new stuff up to level 50 iirc).
I'll get the DLCs as soon as they are published on CD/DVD. Yesterday I read that the first two DLCs will be published on disk in the UK very soon (for 15 Pounds). I hope there will be a disk with all three some time after Broken Steel is published (and the online sales have peaked...).

edit: Seif I have the same issue with that gun.

Good to know, at least I am not alone. :P

It must be something to do with an older file, Ive just picked up a bunch of these weapons and hadnt had the problem. What ingame setting are you running the texure size at?

I have no idea what to do. I guess I downloaded the whole FOOK mod on 22 of April, so I guess the files should be updated. As for the textures, they are set to Large in-game.

Cheers.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: This has been reported more times than flying saucers. Again, this is a problem with textures and has been around For a while. (since the original release I believe) For now you can just change the scope file, there is an entry in the geck somewhere for the scope just change it. Not trying to be hostile or rude, just frustrated, I have seen it reported 2-3 times in the same thread.

Anychance for fook 2.0 to revert the quest reward for the replicated man back to vanilla(rivit city android quest reward)? I kind of liked the plasma weapon without the scope :P

Figured this is the time to ask!

The original unique is really only a vanilla plasma rifle with some boosted stats.

...and it's been repeated that this will be addressed in the next release.

There's not much there yet, but this is one of the items mentioned as a confirmed issue in the new http://www.fookunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31. If there are other known issues which you think should be on that list, please post in that thread, and hopefully soon we can all respond to questions like these with "see the http://www.fookunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31 please".

EDIT: I see you're the one you suggested this issue be added to that list. Thanks!

I have the same issue as Sejf, and I was the one who told him to replace the ScopeRedDot.nif to be able to use the SR20's.

I have textures size set to large. But the more advanced ingame options is perhaps something me and Sejf should look into if this is a minor issue shared by very few people. Any suggestions or requirements there? Due to my limited GPU, I can't really crank up the eye candy. Meaning AA and AF is off (for best performance). Will this impact on the FOOK?

Or... I can just wait for the v2.0 release :)

there is rly no reason not to have texture size set to large.
The FPS loss can be neglected and setting it to lower values causes even in vanilla texture problems.

It haves install instructions.. more detailed than that, there's a sticky on the top of these forums that tells you general guidelines of mod installation. Once you get the hang of it it's pretty straightforward.

The new rifle looks great, but it also looks like it just got rolled off the assembly line. Unless thats the intent. Unless of course its a weapon manufactured by the Enclave who seem to have manufacturing capability. Hmm I wonder where they get their recruits from (vaults would make sense). I bet Broken Steel will borken this up a bit more, heh. How is the retexturing of other current weapons coming along?

A weapon like the XM8 will be only used by the enclave cause it is simply a high tech one (still i might adjust the texture a little bit to add a small bit of dirt/scratches etc.).
Retexturing of weapons is currently on a hold due to the fact that we are getting quite some new models due to Katarn being now with us and thus i want to wait and see which weapons get replaced before i do any further texture adjustments.

Ah btw THX to the moderators around here for closing the FOOKUNITY thread due to "advertisemant/promotion" whatever. Can it get more redicilous? That one was not to [censored]in promote some site, it is to support modder and instead of leaving it open (like so many totaly useless threads around here) you decide to close it.
Is this again some more of this great modding support by beth? I mean feel free to give modder the posibility to have a forum around here but if you don't could you at least NOT sabotage an attempt to do something for the mod community?

I seriously need to reconsider if i'll continue to have a FOOK thread around here.

Well I hope you continue to have a thread here, its easy to keep an eye on. I understand where the modders are coming from, the post had nothing to do with a mod. However, you probably could get away with having a couple paragraphs talking about the site on your fook release threads.. As that would be the place to for folks to post bugs and whatnot with fook I cant see the Moderators complaining :P

Now back to discussing mods; that xms rifle is neat. Enclave only? I guess that makes sense since they have the tech base, and brotherhood seems more like scavengers.

Will it only appear if the player is a high level? I tend to play with some very slow leveling mods 400% exp more needed to level abouts. I am wondering if I'd ever see it ;)

In fook 2.0 is the pronto quest in paradise falls fixed? The npc only takes chineese assault rifles.

Probably a real bad idea not having a thread on these boards at least announcing additions and patches. Considering the traffic through these boards I couldn't think of a worse way to bury your new site before it even gets off the ground. Being pissed about the thread being closed it one thing, making a dumb decision out of anger / protest would just make things worse.

Oh who textured the glock 20 ( or is it 50? )

I am not even sure if it comes from FOOK. The texture is amazing though.

love FOOK

sure m8, missed you. :)

Regarding having a thread around... this will be the last one.

I am a nice guy and all but i simply can't tolerate such a stance towards community work and if the moderators actualy think that this was just some stupid site advertisment then there is anyways any hope lost for some sort of community relation ship between the "officials" and modder.

I don't expect to have a chat with the game developers (like with SoaSE where i could even talk with the stardock/ironclad dev's, great guys btw) here or get any direct support (there are companies out there that actually promote mods and try to actively help them) but if something like that happens you have me pissed and i mean really pissed and that is usually not easy to achive.
