The Fallout story.

I'm a big fan of fallout and elder scrolls and I love the gameplay it gets better every game. Idk how many people checked out the story of fallout. I don't mean the game story I mean the war leading up to when the bombs fell. In the game you come across old computers where people wrote what was going on and some even right when the bombs hit. It's a sad and very tragic story, but a very good one. One I think It would be good if they told it in the game. I don't mean make a game that's based b4 the war i love the post apocalyptic world. I just think it would be cool to show. See in that universe they were in the 50s style of living but they had advanced technology. Maybe the player could go find old military bases or government sites or even vaults that had holodisks not holotapes that show video feed of what was going on at that poticular location or find a way to incorporate into the game a way for you to relive the events of a day b4 the bombs fell or be on the front lines of the war with China like they did in the add on operation anchorage Alaska. And tell how it all went wrong... but yea it's just a thought. Sorry for the long post guys thanks to anyone that reads it.

I would love to know more about what occurred in the moments leading up to, during, and the immediate aftermath of the Great War. One of Fallout's main draws for me is the pre-war Retro-futuristic world.

Now I wouldn't by any means support a game set pre-war or have any more time travel/simulation senarios where we "went back" into the past. But more information in the form of holodisks, terminal entries, and other such material would definitely be welcome.

Personally I would like them to put something new in the opening. For the new ones it was a cutsceme of something irrelevant happening. After this they talk about the great war.

I would like it if they took the war never changes part from fallout 1, expand on it, add some new stuff, and make s 2 minute video on it. Just keep the basics about it.

Then like you said find stuff about it in-game

China invades Alaska in the winter of 2066.

Middle East and European Union go to war with one another.

United Nations falls apart along with the European Union.

America starts taking over Canada shortly after China's invation of Alaska. Canada is finally annexed completely in 2077. America also starts its take over of Mexico around that time.

America, retakes Alaska in January of 2077. Shortly after America starts their counter invation of China. Within months most of China is overrun by American forces. America makes it all the way to the Yangtze River and captured the city of Shanghai.

October 23, 2077, WW3 starts and ends in two brief hours, destroying most of the world. Humanity was almost extinguished.

China most likey started the great war. They knew they could not win and decided to destroy the world along with themselves. "We were winning too, fought them from the Yukon to the Yangtze but then those Damn Reds launched"- president Richardson.

War. War never changes. The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from it lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into and economic superpower, but war never changes. In the 21st century war was still waged for the resources that could be acquired; only this time the spoils of war were also its weapons, petroleum and uranium. For these resources China would invade Alaska. The US would annex Canada and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarrelling bickering nation states bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth. In 2077 the storm of World War had come again. In two brief hours most of the planet was reduced to cinders and from the ashes of nuclear devastation a new civilization would struggle to arise.
