The False brotherhood must die!

So we all know the DB is in the game, We all know you can join them.
But what if you want to kill them instead?
Would you kill them?
Why will you kill them?
How will you kill them?
Do you hope they try and assassinate you?
Go on! Tell us your holy plan!

In Oblivion I always thought it would be interesting if in the next game if a Cult of Mathieu Bellamont. They found the Traitors Dairy and now it his their holy book. It would be made up of people who lost loved ones to the Dark Brotherhood, and seek out the murderers to kill them. Of course they would all be very crazy, stricken by grief and a lust for revenge, in truth no better than the DB itself.

In Morrowind, many of the Morag Tong (officially recognized and government sanctioned Dunmer Assassins Guild) quests sent you after Dark Brotherhood members. Some kind of anti-darkbrotherhood faction would be a most welcome alternative to the Dark Brotherhood, I found the whole Sithis cult thing a bit nuts!

I dunno, if all of their quests are as interesting as the Orphanage Starting quest, I'll definitely join them.

You know what I liked about Fallout?

No matter what you could kill anyone at any time for no good reason.

Its a shame Fallout 3 and Oblivion don't have this. Morrowind did IIRC. They should bring that back. I like the idea of going rouge

'' after you joined them thay convinced you to assassinate 10 powerful wizards who could be a treat of skyrim land... after you kill them you find a paper in the 10th clothes

that contain the DB true plain of destroying all the other guilds to rule skyrim.. when you face one of the DB leader assistants and uncover their true plan he convince you to

join themto rule skyrim and you have to choice to join them or disagree ..

- agreeing means you will have to assassinate all the guilds leaders to show your loyalty to the DB ..

-disagreeing means you will have to eliminate all the four assistants of the DB leader then fight the leader at the end.

I like the idea of a branching storyline for the Dark Brotherhood, where halfway through you're approached by some sort of Guard who knows you work for them and wants you to become their undercover agent, in exchange for giving you amnesty. You must then choose whether to betray your brothers and sisters, or to feed false information to the guards so the Brotherhood can make them... disappear.

Kill the Dark Brotherhood? Reminds me of the Morag Tong.

But then I learned that the Night Mother was actually Mephala the whole time. My head imploded. It's kind of like nord!Alduin and elf!Auriel and man!Akatosh. They're all the same guy! haha

Morrowind did have that, and a lot of people complained because they killed the wrong people and broke quests including the main quest. I didn't mind it however, if I broke a quest I had no one to blame but myself so whatever. Now though with random enemies being able to take out NPCs, folks could get quests broken through no fault of their own. So it is a nice thought (I kindof wish they had essential NPC markers as an option on the settings) but it might be frustrating if quest related NPCs died all of the time.

There are still three ranks of npcs in Skyrim, right? Essential, who just fall to their knees immobile if they get hurt too much. Important, you fail the quest if they die, and other npcs can hurt them. And then the adorable Normal free-for-all npcs that are mauled without recompense.

or something like that?

No, they got rid of essential NPCs and now a relative takes over the quest.

THe thing is though most people can just hit quick save every 10 min or so. Thats what I do. Reloading and not killing the important guy next time isn't hard, and non-killable NPCs really kill the role playing.

>beat the hell out of someone
>they stand up
>OH MY GOD, YOU'RE CHAMPION OF THE ARENA

Nope. MQ NPCs are impossible to kill, other questgivers can only die bt your hand if it is not the meaning otherwise. So you can kill the leader of the Companions if you want, but ni others can to not ruin your game.
