The February Game Informer Cover Thread

Post » Tue Jan 12, 2010 8:11 am

No. I'm too old to buy such mags. I love these kinds of games, but I'm not going crazy over them.
If information and pictures are limited to a magazine, and not the fans, I'll be disappointed.

Apparently the Australian issue is the same with a few pieces of local content. Which is what we get here in NZ.

I know, it's ridiculous. When I was getting my PS3, the Aussie dollar was I think about 90 US cents yet the PS3 in the US was $300 and had twice as much HD space as ours which was $600. Why don't we get a fair deal? Everything's more expensive over here. Also, just to be clear, is the Australian Game Informer the same as the US one? I don't want to buy it only to find out it's a different issue.

What Sureve said. Game Informer Aus has the same reveals and previews, but local reader feedback and local writers with their say, sometimes articles relevant to Australia and NZ. They actually did an article on why the price of games are higher in Australia, issue #6 with the GoW 3 cover, and another issue had one on how come Australians don't have a R18 classification so often have troubles getting games through(Fallout 3 had some issue with alcohol or drugs at first IIRC).

But yeah it's a great magazine, would definitely reccomend it.

I'll be 40 in January and I consider myself still very young at heart. I have no problem with exclusives in Magazines, as it gets the excitement up. Don't worry though, the information will come out on the message boards 10 minutes after the 1st person gets their magazine, maybe 30 depending on how long it takes someone to read it and actually get the post written.

I wont be able to get my hands on a game informer magazine so I am pretty much going to be gutted unless they paste the content on their website or it is leaked to the public through scans and articles. I am just going to have to find my way round it, either that or this forum is going to be littered to the rim with what content was announced.

There is an online digital subscription if your interested. What country are you looking to subscribe from?

I'm not going to spend twenty USD on a twelve-month magazine subscription in which I will only read one. Best to wait till it comes out on newstands in feburary. Do give some info on the issue if you are a subscriber though, but in Julianos's name Don't spoil it!

You might just want to stay away from this thread then. The real point of it is to discuss what is in the GI mag. When it is released people will be spoiling whats in the mag almost exclusivity.

I am staying away from the entire forum after the 6th until I get my copy delivered. I want first hand knowledge!

Is the content going to be online? The odds are high.

All of the information will immediately make its way online. I want a record of this historic event though.

If you want to see the actual mag then you could get an online subscription. I am not sure as to whether it costs more or not but chances are its cheaper.

Unless of course you don't care very much...

I got a subscription to the mag for Christmas. Got a really good deal- the past two magazines free of charge, some cards and stuff for deals, etc.- except for the fact that apparently Gamestop's mailing lists take six weeks to catch up, so I won't be getting the issue for a few weeks AFTER the 6th. :swear:

Yes. I've been a member for a while now so the issue should come. "only 11 months" to market Skyrim? I don't think I can stand it. It's already hard to wait.

Happy Holidays.

I won't get it because I'm not a subscriber, and it'll be all over the internet anyway.

I know man, I am getting a subscription for Game Informer for Christmas too. I just asked my dad and he told me that they said that after you subscribe it takes six weeks for you to be registered as a subscriber and then 3-6 weeks for them to deliver.

Unfortunately this means i am not getting the February issue mailed to me! :flame:

I am gonna have to get the damn magazine my self at the store!

Of January?

Yes, of January :(

Yeah hopefully that happens again (you told us the good news of the 4 page catch-up of Elder Scrolls). I imagine if you do you'll be getting a lot of pm's (if you catch my drift :hubbahubba: )
