The February Game Informer Cover Thread IV : V - Skyrim

If the Tomb Raider hub is anything to go by (which it totally might not be), we can expect the Skyrim one to start with the cover reveal, how the series as evolved, and then stuff more about the game.
I also noticed they put up the TR official wallpapers there as well as a merchandise giveaway. Bethesda still has the Skyrim merchandise trademark, so we may be seeing some of that. (?)

That tweet describing the cover as the game logo in a black background is a bit of a letdown. Was expecting something more elaborate, but I guess all is good as long as the article is decent.

As much as it sounds like he did really meant that. I think we are just mis-interpreting it. I don't think it will be only a black background with the game logo and name. I think it will be some stylized monochromatic cover with maybe a dragon or something that hints what the game is about with the logo.

I hope you are right. Just feels like the build up about the cover reveal is a bit too much if its only a logo on a black background. I usually prefer things not in your face, so a minimalistic approach would not bother me, but it feels like its been taken to an extreme if the description we got from that tweet is correct. We'll see. Can't wait to get the magazine.

Curse the human mind being only capable of perceiving time flowing in a linear direction. I wish I could just skip the fifth of January.

As for this whole thing about the magazine cover, I really don't care what the cover will look like, even if it is just a black background with a logo on it. I probably won't bother to look at it long before I fling it open anyways.

I highly doubt he was doin so to insult anyone's work. I just think it is a very plain cover for GI and they all acknowledge that and apparently make jokes of it. Of course the stellar content is what matters. I just dont think the initial cover reveal will reveal anything about the upcoming game. It may resemble what elderscrolls.com looks like in fact

Sorry if this was already asked but I don't have much time to ask this.

So, I noticed that there will also be UK cover stories, will these be large and magnificent just like the GI one or will they be dumbed down versions on this awesomeness? I think this will be one of the only times that I have bought a gaming magazine in a loooong time.

I believe its just the cover, also I hope it isn't just a close up of the wall motif from the announcement trailer.

Well, I would assume that the cover's not going to be revealed until the staff at GI get to work on thursday in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

That means the cover reveal will probbly happen 28-30 hours from now, if that's the first thing whoever is responsible for putting up the images does when they get to work.

Still, we're almost there!
