Post » Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:54 pm

Andy McNamara, Editor-In-Chief of Game Informer has tweeted:

"Should start arriving to subscribers end of this week, early next week - give or take. And yeah, once people read this, heads will explode."

Ha i almost got light headed just reading that! I did drool a little though.

Edit: Also this:
Andy McNamara, Editor-In-Chief of Game Informer has tweeted:

It is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the all-black cover. We will show the cover this Thursday as well as start some awesome online stuff.

The way to look at it is this: even if the cover is not up to some people's lofty standards for some reason or another (not... informative enough, I guess?) it need not be thought of as a one-off disappointment. It is, in essence, an extension of the cover story - a fifteenth page. If we think of it more in the context of the whole article, it ceases to have such great importance.

Besides, I'm sure the editors would have nixed it in favor of something more... titillating if it was half as 'bland' as half the people here seem to think.

Silly of me, I've just discovered there are GameStop shops here in Barcelona (Spain)...and TONS of them :D

Does anybody knows if the Feb issue of GameInformer will also be released on time (6-15) on other countries that aren't US/UK?

Speaking of Gamestop, mine says they can't just sell a single issue of GI. I have to become a paid member of the EDGE program to get a whole year of them. Anyone else get the same thing?

Well I say go for it if that is the case, You save 10% on all used games and get 12 issues of gameinformer for 15 bucks. I buy video games a lot and find it well worth it. GameInformer is generally a pretty good read too.

I never pawn in games or buy them pre-owned and GI isn't a priority, just this one issue.

Don't expect anything until probably the afternoon on the 6th by American time. Sometime between 12:00pm EST and 5:00pm EST sounds about right. So about 30 hours from now.

The anticipation is almost unbearable.

3 years of silence if about to be smashed to smithereens.

It is normally 1-5 days for the mag to be out through the mail, it usually is 1-2 weeks before it is released in Game Stop.

Well I was in my local Gamestop on the 14th of December subscribing and they still did not have next month's issue. Or at least it wasn't out the shelves yet.

Wait, I have a question. Do game informer do digital magazines or are they only physical? If so, do they only allow subscriptions from people within the US?

They do have digital subscriptions but I am not sure if they go outside the US or even how to subscribe online.

People have been saying there are European subscribers but I'm not really sure.
GI's site says:
If you are inquiring about an international subscription (anywhere outside of the United States), please contact Customer Service.

Ah, well that svcks. I'm just hoping that the version that is available to us folk outside the US aren't given some dumbed down version of it. D:
