So since I live in Europe I have to wait until the evening to see the cover while you Americans can just lie down in bed and sleep for a few more hours and have sweet dreams about Skyrim? :stare: :stare: :stare:

Meh, I'm on a nocturnal sleeping pattern, so its not like I will be sleeping anytime soon. And at that, I am eastern time zone, so I have to wait an extra 3 hours for everything that goes on in this country, being that they always do releases at pacific time. While I don't have it as bad as you, I can say, I feel your pain.

Well the cover can indicate the art style of the game. If you look at Oblivions cover you will see that it presents the art style of the game truthfully.

Well, we would be able to see the art style they will use, and how one of the races (most likely Nords) will look if they are pictured on the cover. We will get a glimpse of the world/a dungeon/inside of a castle/etc.
Maybe we will see a dragon. Will it look like the Avatar of Akatosh? Will it look like a typical fairytale-dragon?

Magazines wouldn't bother with covers if they didn't serve a purpose :wink_smile:

The info comes by way of Game Informer editor-in-chief Andy McNamara. He wrote on Twitter: “It is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the all-black cover. We will show the cover this Thursday as well as start some awesome online stuff.”





Update 6:56pm: Looks like the issue will reveal a new Bethesda sequel, as well. The magazine’s Andrew Reiner tweets: “Take your best guess as to what Bethesda has been working on. I’m curious what you expect,” followed by: “In addition to Skyrim, this issue holds an unannounced sequel. Guess away!”

I dunno where Game Informer is exactly based, http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/. So yeah, you're going to be waiting for a while. There's no "set" release date for the cover, it'll come out when GI feels like updating it. That could be in 12 hours or more, for all we know.
