So, with all of the anticipation, wouldn't it make sense for the GI folks to release it near the end of the day so as to draw in more folks to skim through the rest of the site?

Based on what Reiner says, and the fact that they're in Minneapolis (which is one hour BEHIND Eastern Time, the most commonly known American time zone), we can expect it within the next hour.

Based on what Pete says... there will be fun things hidden in the cover.

more than likly and why do I have the feeling that if there is any decoded stuff in it or whatever after its all over than no one will speak of it again?
I feel thats what I will do, like this

Cover is released
I explode
Put myself back together
look up some decoded stuff for the cover
figure it out
get on with my life

I don't know why iv been getting so excited over it since it is NOT the article

Nah.. it'll be a CG rendering of a younger Max Von Sydow sitting on a throne in a vast hall, shields and swords hanging from the walls, torches blazing illuminating only portions of the vast space you find yourself in - staring down at you with piercing sky blue eyes, one hand resting on a 'claymore' like sword, at his feet a small dragon, smoke lazily coming from it's nostrils.
