The February Game Informer Cover Thread XII

IMPORTANT: READ THIS!

Guys I'm pretty sure we're gonna have to wait for the cypher. There are more symbols than there are letters in the english language. Unless it translates into another language (an actual non-TESrelated language) and then into English a direct translation is outta of the question. There could be some sort of pattern though so I'm looking at it more closely now.

Hmmmm... using frequency anolysis on the first paragraph (or, as Miller said, the first stanza), it looks likely that this letter:

.
=

is an E.

Alll I got for now.

if they stay with letters faintly looking like normal letters, i'd decipher the beginning of the second row as "end of the day" - the D and the e would repeat correctly

edit: then again: o and a wouuld be the same letter... hmm.

There are international Gamestop stores in several countries, links are on their main website. Speaking of which, is it possible to order a single issue from one of them? I wonder...

aaarg! I'll just go tomorrow to one of them and ask. I've one relatively close to home anyway.

I'm checking with GameInformer. Not sure how that works, but I can tell you we've brought in folks from multiple countries to see Todd's presentation on the game. GameInformer is the first one out of the gate.

Okay, but I'm sure it's the fourth era, though.

And Eurogamer Denmark confirms that, too.

I just wanted to add to all Canadian posters here, Game informer magazine is available at all EB and GameStop stores in limited quantities. I go there often and I didn't even know!

From the looks of the cover and everything we have seen and heard it seems like dragons are going to play a major role in this game.

So, apparently it will be reaching subscribers on 10th:

For those wondering when you’ll be able to read the magazine, we’re told subscribers should start receiving their copies of the magazine around January 10th (possibly earlier) and you should be able to find it at a GameStop store beginning on January 14th. In addition to their 14-page cover story (the largest cover story in their magazine’s history), this month they’ll be putting up additional info on the game and the team at Bethesda Game Studios on their website — so be sure to keep an eye on GameInformer.com/Skyrim. - Bethblog

Hopefully, earlier...

Yeah, but I really want this specific mag. Besides, Croatian magazines will most likely just rephrase whatever they find on the internet, and poorly. :(

Its a good looking cover, I can't complain about that. Hopefully I'll get my issue Tomorrow or Saturday. The Runes look familar but they're different. It kinda reminds me of the Alyeid language, yet its different maybe its Akavir or the Language that was in the Mysterium Xarxes but who knows. GI is going to make a killing off of these Mag sales. Also this date adds up to the number 11 so how am I not surprised that the beginning of getting information about Skyrim begins with the number 11.

I just want to know what exact day the magazine is coming out. That way I can freeze myself until that day. I just hope Butters doesn't lose me.

Based on the cover and all the other information, it looks like logos will be playing a big part in the story. No seriously I hope that dragons aren't running around in Skyrim and please no dragon mounts....please.

And, can I get this magazine today, or will it only come out on shelves like in another three days?

I agree with the no dragon mounts except for like one to maybe get to the top of a high mountain but not to just fly around on.

Yes, us poor folk from central eastern Europe won't have a chance of even seeing a GI magazine in shops.

also three words intrigue me:

3rd of second line,

3rd of 5th line,

and 3rd of 6th line.

they use a lot of the same letters, and if I'm right about E, then they go like this:

abE

cdE

cbE

(a, b, c and d are random letters to represent the runes).

One of them might be the, so that means that they either go:

THE, cdE, cHE

or

abE, THE,TbE,

or

aHE, TdE, THE.

The third word on the first can only be SHE, but that wouldn't fit with the second one - no word but 'SEE' goes 'SdE'.

The second is more interesting, as TbE could be TIE, and aIE has a lot of words (but most likely LIE)

And the third can be SHE, TIE and THE, although I'm not sold on SHE, so I'll go for the second one.

I'll stop the post now and work some stuff out.
