The fact that players like to customize things? :unsure2:

Hmm not like I could ever make so many mods... my Sig contains hundreds of mod ideas. You aspiring modders had better bookmark the link, not sure how much longer I'm keeping the sig. :)

Aww look at the little doggy!
Beth started off being geared towards PC gamers and modders, I won't fault them for that, especially when their games are highly playable in "vanilla". Now that we get title updates, it's just a little something extra for those who have more powerful systems.

I Have no experience in creating models or textures, but I still want to get into the modding scene this generation so I think I will start by adding details and locations and new world spaces and get more complex as I learn.

Hey now, if Bethesda includes a companion character with a Quixotic delusion that he's a chivalrous knight-errant in a classic fantasy setting instead of a brutal wasteland, I'll be downright giddy. But if not, that's what I'm here for.

I have already begun work on a texture pack for this game. I have seen some very low res textures in the trailer and screenshots and I'm already workin on it. Fear not fellow graphics freaks!

I still think that's a little premature, but if it makes you happy then great!

If they give the option of Co-Op: Harpoon gun mod

That stuff is hilarious in a sandbox!

If that is true, I am pretty sure a tessnip type tool will get made.

LOL! Or maybe a less buggy version? A lot has been learned since then.

Funny that you mention tessnip. Yes the toolmaker who want to be 1st ™ will try to be so astongishly clever to be the 1st one and yes people will complain like hell afterwards.

As we had for Skyrim & FO3.

You buy the game, without reviewing it beforehand? Already plan mods?

Gizmo I am dissapointed. How can you support a game that is not true to the franchise (what you already anolyzed from the trailer) and even support it with mods?

When the GECK, CK, (?) and it's tile-sets are released, I will be compelled to make a player home.

... about all I'm capable of doing, anyway.

Because buying it comes with a license to mod it with the GECK, and reasonable access to the Fallout IP assets without legal hassles. This is a situation where voting with your dollar will do nothing but lock you out of what's left of a once great franchise; you cannot out-buy the masses when they are offering sugar. With access to the GECK, and a license to distribute mods and scripts, there is at least some small sliver of hope to correct it with mods.

But no, I won't buy the game until I've read the GECK EULA, and find nothing untoward.

Sorry Gizmo you don't love the franchise. With your selfish reasons you support the continuation of it getting destroyed. :cryvaultboy:

But at least you can't say this time you didn't know :)

That boat sailed eight years ago; damage done.

*Do you think Obsidian will get a second chance at a Fallout [with Tim on board] if none of us buy the game, and it falls short? If it ever did, I think it would be shelved, not sold again. :sadvaultboy:

My own mods are probably the first (and perhaps only) thing I will do with the game. Same as with FO3; seven years, and I've never encountered the Enclave in the game, but I had fun modding the armor.

That's true, so for BGS games I always have more than 150 :teehee:

But as always, first i'll get tons of bug fixes, then tons of mechanics improvements, and then lots of new guns, armor, and monsters.

This is how i feel. Enjoy the game as they made it. You wouldn't repaint a Salvador Dali or rewrite a Stephen King.

The beauty of the mods is that you get to choose what goes into the game. See a weapon mod you think goes well with the game? Download it! Need your home base to be rearranged? Load up the file and move stuff to your liking! Bethesda gives you the files so you can play around with them. So in this respect, modding *is* playing the game as intended. Of course we on consoles don't get this option :(

Actually, I would. Just when "Under the Dome" got interesting, he went for the "rocks fall, everyone dies" ending :swear:
