The first thing you'll do when you get the game

I will cry. I will cry like a little girl whose mother has just died in front of her, but these tears will be happy. Tears of joyous exuberance.

I will probably spend a good 2-5 hours on character creation alone, and after I make the perfect character, I'll probably spend the next day going over lore and writing my back story. It will be painful not playing Skyrim when I have it, but I can't play RPG's until I make my character and write a great bio.

Yea I meant moddable games. I don't play on PC, so i'm not sure how many games come with CK's. I'm curious though...how does a game earn thousands of dollars from you?

I form clans that pay for player subscriptions, gaming merchandise, donations, additional game purchases, advertisemant and promotion, all over the course of the duration that I play it. I support quality game developers.

Ogle the box while I get driven home. Pop the cd in the drive and let that [censored] install while I read the manual and set up my dragon statue. I'll start looking at the art book when I run out of manual. Then I play the game for the next 2 days.

After all the pre game/tutorial I will probably just wander. I will do bit off everything; fighting with sword, with magic, pickpocketing, burglary, looting dungeons, but mostly just exploring.

2. Get in car and go to local gamestop where i pre-ordered.
3. Wait in a probably big line.
4. Get my copy of skyrim.
5. Go home take it out of case and install to xbox HDD.
6. Bask in the glory of elder scrolls and take an hour making my character exactly like i want it.

First I have to go to m'effing school! Then I'll ride over to the closest Gamestop and pick up my copy and rush back home. However, a good friend of mine is too cheap enough to buy the game himself so he's coming over to my place.. Until he arrives I'll study the map, read the manual, order pizza, and install the game to my 360. When he does come, we will play. And play. We (Or at least I) won't sleep that night, keeping myself awake with Mtn dew and other caffeinated drinks. We'll play for the rest of the weekend. And I will be happy.

Download the 100 mods that I need to use (200 in Oblivion) in order to experience the type of gameplay that I desire in Skyrim. Yeah I'm waiting until the mods are out before i start playing.

HAHA! why don't you just make your own games seeing as not even BGS makes games fit to be played by someone as logical and intelligent such as yourself?

Gamestop midnight release, I'ma have my Dad their as backup. Last time I was their for a midnight release (GTA IV) some dudes were about to jump me for it but my Dad was all FUSDUHRAH and started screaming all crazy and they ran. Pretty cool defense mechanism. Anyway, on the way home I'll probably be blasting the Skyrim theme on my iPod over the radio. When I get home, I'll unwrap it, put it in my Xbox ever so slowy, and... Disc is Unreadable. Damn Xbox.

I will:
1. Kill every bandit I see.
2. B-line it to the first mine I see.
3. Mine everything in it.
4. Cut down some trees.
5. Try out the smithing.

Crash my car on my way back to my house out of pure excitement and negligence.

Edit:

lol ^ win.

Although SCREW YOU FLAMEFEST PC > 360!

haha, although I don't necessarily think one system is better than the other (unless we're going on computing power/ability to run games/ability to run programs other than a dashboard and games.. haha) I WILL be getting my copy for Skyrim on PC :). Still an awesome post Venator21 lol.

lol im not flaming :P xbox users WILL be able to play it first... if you put them all into the machines at the same time, the 360 will be playing it slightly ahead of the ps3, and LOOOOOOONG before the pc

No you're right, I was just messing around :).

I tried to make the point I try not to play favorites, and that your comment was totally making me SUPER RAGE FLAME even though since I don't play favorites with the systems I didn't really care, and thought it was hilarious lol.

I will get all my buddies together.
Make sure we are first in line and do the classic hour of gossiping and whatnot.
Get the game.
Walk out and rub it in the faces of those who didn't leave the house early enough due to procrastination and arrived to an hour or two wait.
After the good 5 mins. of goodbyes and congratulations to the others who were on time; and employees of Gamestop. (Worked there for a while; those guys are family)
Go home, remove Rage from the console, and have a purely indescribable night and morning of unequaled gameplay value.

I will remove the papers and pencils from my equipped slots, install from disc, and devour the manual religiously, consuming not the tissue of organic life rendered inert. This is the first step of my transcendence.

Eventually, my hand will meld with my mouse, and then I will be unable to reverse the process of melding completely, physically and mentally, with the digital metaform.

Glorious.
