[WIPZ] The Forgotten Halls

Post » Sat Dec 11, 2010 7:47 pm

Very interesting =) thanks for this explanation.

It's also interesting to see what is that Ghoul King like. But I prefer to figure it out myself, in-game, so I hope you'll mark your screenshots featuring him.

And I very like theese corpses, they looks like they dead not long ago, and no one have seen them before.

And yes, another idea/question :D Will you use that Varla Stone cages? My idea is to replace some of caged Varla stones with Dark Velkynd stones. ;) Just imagine: player pulls a lever hoping to earn this rare elven artifact and gets a magic blast in his face instead.

Thanks :)

Its not as good as the origonal concept but as that was lost... I tried to do everything from memorary lol.

The extension is basically finished, I have added two new areas, a couple of traps, various new items ect... so hopfully it will be a good expansion - even if its just a small one.

Take your time mate! I have no doubt it will be a great addition to the Neverhalls :D

ah no worries :D - I am actually making good headway with the mod. Just got to place the critters, place the doors and link em to the neverhalls then test it out in game.

haha, its alrite :D - What I will do is just post a temp link here for a couple of days then upload it to PES if there are no problems.

I do actually need some help but its not testing.

I have a boss creature, level 50 called the Ghoul King.

HE is pretty strong so I want to give the player a reward for killing him, I was tihnking a ring but not sure what enchantment to put on it.

I was thinking something along the lines of (all constent effect):

Frost Bite
- Fortify attack 10
- Resist Frost 100%

too overpowered?

Well I don't think it's too overpowered, really. You would expect a lvl 50 boss to drop something out of the ordinary :)

Edit: It would also be cool if he dropped some sort of icy item like a crown/or the weapons he's using. Just an idea though. :P

- Falmer Bow
- Sila arrows (which have a frost enchantment on them)
- Enchanted Falmer sword
- Enchanted Falmer Amulet
- Enchanter Falmer Right Gauntlet

So theres alread alot going on :D

haha no spam at all :)

Ohhh that reminds me added some new bits to the lore section:

A Song to the Goddess Varla

As the sun sets and fades to night,
She shines on us, her perfect light
Her gift to us, her endless sight,
O’hark to her, Varla’s Might

Also I am adding in a new summon spell ;)

Those latest pics only lack the music from the Mines of Moria; they look awesome. about the Ghoul King (the dumbest name this side of the Warlock Lord :) ) perhaps since you are doing the whole lore thing now maybe he could be the king of the Nords that attacked the halls, back from the grave as a ghoul because he was left there to die and had to resort to cannibalism to live...or somehting along the lines.

Judging by your recent posts, a release is imminent. This looks amazing, M. Can't wait. Is the lore you are putting up here incorporated into the mod in any way? A book of some sorts? (You may have already touched on that.)

thats actually a really awesome idea. I might have the ghoul ingage in some dialogue before he decides to attack you.

yes, all the "lore" is put into notes/books that can be found ingame.

A release is imminenet - BUT I jsut found out that one of the traps doesnt work *sigh*. So I have sent it to the master of scripts in a bid that he can figure it out.

Also through the test run I found that its quite difficult with a few beefed up critters placed around.

I was also thinking of creating a website that detailed all the wepons/armor/items ect... from this mod so people can check them off, kinda like a check list.

You are only making the list of stuff to do longer, but I suppose its for the best. I'll stop spamming this thread and go play MW now.

Or you go for some crazy name like Shadow Of King Eldgrim or King Eldgrim The Cadaverous, lol I could go on forever :D

Nordic name lol.. Well would be cool with some "real" name if you're plan to use him as the "King of the Nords"

The Warlock Lord is the dumb name for that Sauron wannabe from Sword of Shannara  of all the Tolkien rippoffs Ive read (from David Eddings to Robert Jordan) that was the worst name ever....
Glad you liked the idea of the king, since Nords use Viking sounding names Id suggest something like Ragnar the Undying, Ulm the Fallen or some of those names that have something to do with the character of the person they belong to. For examples of those types of names The Eaters of the Dead is a great resource....perhaps the king could just be a local boggieman and only when you mmet him you come to realize the truth
