[RELz] The ForgottenHalls

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 11:43 pm

After a break I went back to MW today and believe I've finished Never/Forgotten Halls. It's a very nicely done mod, well done.

All in all a very well made, high level dungeon crawl. Interesting and challenging design. Nice back story. Unique and satisfying rewards.

My thanks to all involved with it's creation.

Thanks :) - I am glad you enjoyed it! Alot of work went into the mods creations.

1. The two times I fell into a pit trap I ended up under the collapsing section of floor and thus became stuck under it. The second time I was able to levitate up through it after some wiggling around. The first time required loading the last save. Also I didn't get to fight the ghoul king, ghoul with an antler helmet? I think he fell into the spike pit near the door and got stuck under the floor when it came up.

Ah you've fallen into the possible bug that comes from scripting floor movement :( - Unfortunatly theres not alot I can do about this as its the limitations of the engine I believe, the way it handles collision as things are moving.

However I can work on the ghoul king problem. HAving the AI set to 0 and then set to 1 after a forcegreet will prevent him charging towards you when you enter the cell.

2. I'm at work so this is from memory... The sila lamps in the tomb room where the Falmer armour is gn_lamp_2 maybe have no name or stats, weight etc.

A lamp with no stats? That has to be solved! sounds like a mistake on my behalf - I will look into it and get back to you later on.

3. I found the ambient noise you get in the big room near the entrance (and other places) a bit loud compared to other sounds in the game, got a bit annoying after a while.

Yeah, alot of people are finding the ambient noise from the large lamps/obelisks annoying. I think I might just get rid of it al together. Save peoples ears :D

Thanks for the feedback, while the problems may be minior its still nice to be informed of them. Its the only way we can try to get the mod 100%

Are you working on more ruins for those new shinies you've been showing off in the "What are you working on" thread?

Off topic: Are you going to be doing any more work on your Magas Volar redux?

So, I finally got around to updating Ye Olde Mod Liste, which included all of the stuff I had written about your mod.

You haven't uploaded it anywhere else yet, by any chance? That No Mirror Available thing under your mod makes me a sad panda.
