The Fourth Era: Thread II

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:30 am

It is 10 years after the oblivion crisis, and the Empire is facing hard times. The oblivion Crisis has not only put all of tamreil in a economic depression, but corruption has begun to seep through the ranks of government and cause even more problems. soon, it becomes that you are either a rich man, or a poor man. Government refuses to help the people, instead focusing on personal interests.

In Cyrodill, Gang activity has gone on the rise because of massive immigration from other provinces. Gang war's in the streets are becoming common, and the gaurds can't do anything about it because they lack the manpower to do so. So, the captain of the Gaurd, Darius the Brave, formed a group of elite men and women, loyal to the imperial way, simply called "The Hammer" to crack down on gang crime. Meanwhile, other bandit gangs continue to smuggle skooma, raid innocent homes, and cause mass havoc. The most powerful of these, the "Ebon Blades", led by a engimatic nord simply know as "black" has begun becoming more risky and raiding small towns. Rumor has it they are planning on overthrowing the countess and count of anvil and take over the town.

For the Dunmer, All of morrowind seems to be going to hell in a handbasket. First, Hlaalu, the only house not greviously wounded by the failing economy, has begun to take more and more land from the other dunmer houses, by diplomacy or force. Two, Many indoril and some redoran nobles have commited ritual suicide at the dissapperance of the neravarine and death of vivec. Lastly, a unknown assasin group killed King hleseth and no one knows which house hired the assasination. So, now with all of this coming into play, morrowind is on the brink of a major house war. Dres, Indoril, Telvanni, and redoran have all formed an alliance to take out the super powerful house Hlaalu. Currently, both sides are hiring assasins to kill the other houses's major officials, and an unnoficial "War of assasins" has begun.

The Nords of skyrim are currently in the best (and worst) of times. Fir some, the fact a major ebony deposit was found and puts them at the position of best economy in the empire seems good, heavy snowstorms have been killing hundreds. Some blame the gods, but there is no denying it: the snowstorm that plauges the land began two months ago, and isn't stopping. Many are trapped in their homes, and some even more foolish are deperatly trying to escape, many only coming to find themselves an icy coffin.

High rock and hammerfal are currently on edge with one another. The Orcs seceded from high rock, officially forming the province of Orisimer. The brenton, angry that they have lost their long time control of the orcs, have declared war on the orcish people, aided by the Redgaurds of the south. The orcs, anticipating this major assault, built stone mountain fortresses in major mountain passes. Despite superior numbers, the brentons and redgaurds have been unable to find a way through the mountains. Currently, the prime hotspot for battle is the fortress called "Malacath's pride". The 600 orcish garrison there has been holding out for 40 days against constant redgaurd brenton seige. Rumor has it the brenton are devising a weapon to get through the mountain pass, and the orcs are preparing a counter offensive into high rock.

Those of summerset isle have been plauged by the group o0f people known as the "Perfect", obssesive compulsive Altmer hellbent on purging those who do not worship deadra like them and all outlanders. Currently, they have not done anything bigger than threatening people, but wary citizens are becoming parinoid: no one wants to be the first victim of a perfect terrorist attack. To counter this, some imperial warrior clerics, known as the inquisitors, have begun a witch hunt of all who ally themselves with those known as the perfects. Anyone found to be associated with them, directly or indirectly, are promptly executed publicly without even a trail.

The people of valenwood have felt the cold wind of these times, to. A massive wildfire burnt down 75% of the forest last year, and many live homeless in the wild. Disease has shot up in Valenwood, and hundreds are becoming sick with a highly contagious disease that kills in 5 days. The imperium has forrbidden anything to come oout of Valenwood, parnoid that it could be infected. Some Bosmer are racing for a cure, while others are simply trying to find a way out of their rapidly dying home.

The Kajiit of Elseweyr currently face the same gang problems that the people of cyrodill do. Many gangs have turned this land into their homes, and the government has done nothing to stop them. In fact, many officials are helping them, some even turning a blind eye to their deeds. The barbarian kajiit tribes are being hunted down by the government and forced into reservations. While some did comply, others have been fighting a brutal war, ambushing innocents and killing government loyals. Some are evne running for the cyrodill border. Their fate will be decided by not only their bravery, but also their luck.

Lastly, the engimatic argonians have become very quite. with the slave trade gone, some say the argonians are rebuilding their homeland. Others say that they are preparing to attack morrowing while it is weak. The argonian govenrment remains almost nonexistant, and te main form of leadership is by tribal officials. Aslo, the prison of storm hold has become even more overcrowded with criminals than before, and some worry that a major prison break could leave hundreds of convicts free to go wherever they want.

My Character:

Name: Gold-heart
Race: Argonian
Gender: Male
Age: 37
Apperance: A tall argonian with a mix of green and blue scales. On the back of his head are small spikes, and two more small spikes lay at the tip of his long snout. He is more muscular than the normal argonian due to years of adventuring, as is his trade, and his many years of experiance echo in his eyes. He is 6'3'' and weighs 165 lbs.

Class: Adventurer
Attributes: Speed, Endurance
Skills: Spear, Medium Armor, unarmoured, restoration, athletics

Equipment: A ebon spear he found in his early adventuring days, a dreugh helm, and indoril cuirass that has obviously shown signs of seeing many battles.

When Gold-heart turned 18, the slave owner gave his family a choice: Let Gold-Heart go free, but his parents would stay, or to let The parent go free and Gold-heart stay. His parents made the sacrifice and stayed in Slavery while gold-Heartwent free.

Driven by the concept of freeing his beloved parents, Gold-heart bought a spear and some worn imperial chainmail armor and became an adventurer. He traveled for 3 years raising money through helping the needy and looting monster infested caves to free his parents. When he had the money, he returned to find his parents had died of a bad disease that had spread across the workers. Angry with the slave owner who knew he could free the slaves, Gold-Heart was tempted to kill the man. but, he relized that would not be what his parents would want him to do. Instead, He became an adventurer for life, seeking to improve the world.

Now, after manyyears of adventuring, Gold-Heart has a slight reputation about him. finding the impending Danger around all of Tamreil great, Gold-Heart has begun gathering men and women of all walks of life to join him on a mission: to make the world a better place

Personality: Many people would be fooled by Gold-Hearts seemingly dutiful purpose by his Carefree and wisecracking nature. He always is able to make a wisecrack or sarcastic remark, even in the darkest situation. Behind this, though, Gold-heart is a kind, patient man who sees the good in people and inside beleives all men and mer are good. Gold-Heart can be stubborn, rarely surrenduring, and can be too trusting of people.

Other: None

Events so far:

-Orcs and brentons have began extremly intense fighting at malacath's pride
-Kajiits at a reservation have captured an imperial loyalist and plan to execute him
-The imperial city has gone to hell after a huge gang war begun led by the infamous Ebon blades. Gold-Heart and his group have been figthing for their lives, trying to save innocent peoples, and themselves.

and so we continue our story

Just a few updates for troops numbers.

Name: Edwinn Paurand
Race: Breton
Gender: Male
Age: 47
Apperance: Once a tall, dark haired and handsome man, Edwinn has certainly aged rather badly. His hair is completely grey, as is his moustache and beard. His skin has wrinkled slightly, and many of his teeth have been knocked out over the years.

His eyes are the only thing that seem to hint at a better youth, shining brilliant blue and showing much experiance behind them. He has actually shrunk a little over the years, only five-and-a-half feet now, and not weighing to much.

Class: Commander
Attributes: Intelligence and Personality
Skills: Blade, Speechcraft, Battle Strategy, Block and Light Armor.

Equipment: Full chainmail armor, with light leather armor colored with his Coat of Arms on the front, steel shoulder guards and a brilliant helmet, with wings like an eagle flowing out of the side, made from Ebony and Glass.

A beautiful Ebony blade, with flowing designs overlapping each other on the hilt. A small, ruby encrusted shortsword.

Bio: Growing up in the city of Sharnhelm, Edwinn was taught all of the high class noble things. How to read, write, dress, talk, eat at fancy dinners, and swordplay. He took to sowrdplay the most however, seeing the other things as rather trivial, and as he furthered his studies, he became interested in battlefield tactics and famous battles in history.

He studied long, and even made little figures that he played with, directing around made landscapes and thinking of different ways to achieve the best possible outcome in battle.

He showed much promise, and eventually found his way into the army, and became a high rankinh officer for the military in Sharnhelm. Now, with war in Orsinium, he has been given a battalion of soldiers to travel to Orsinium from the north and try to find a way into the Wrothgarian Mountains from a different angle, though many believe the mountains up north to be too difficult of terrain to navigate with a large force.

Personality: Raised a noble, he acts like one. Tough, disciplined and a little snotty, he is hard to become close with. For it him it is all business, remaining very regal all of the time and a great lover of rules and strict discipline.

He is quiet unless he needs to be loud, and despite what many think, he isn't angry, he is merely being friendly enough to get a point across, and his men are loyal and trained well because of him.

Army of the City of Sharnhelm (500 Troops)

183 Spearmen - THe spears they wield are not quite as long as pikes, manking them more maneuverable in single combat, but not as effective as pikes in holding positions. They are still deployed in large blocks, and are used on the more defensive side of battle, especially against large numbers of enemy cavalry.

Equipment- Outfitted in full chainmail armor, and with conical steel helmets. Leather adorned with the army creast is worn over the mail. Wooden, iron framed Kite Shields, made to be light and offer protection mainly from arrows and other spears.

5 foot Long Spears. Short swords.

98 Crossbowmen- Wielding crossbows instead of longbows, these soldiers are not to be under-estimated. THough unable to shoot arching shots, their bolts can pierce armor more effectively then longbows, and using one requires less effort, meaning one could shot a crossbow more often then the longbow without tiring the arm, or the fingers.

Equipment- Outfitted in Chainmail armor, Commander Edwinn Paurand has faced some people doubting the reason for outting archers in heavier armor then the standard leathers. THe reason for it being, Paurand has sought to make his archers more resistance to enemy archer fire, as well as being able to hold out when close combat is joined.

Wooden Crossbows. Roughly 20 bolts each. Shortswords.

100 Royal Cavalry- Using lances and heavy armor, along with highly trained horses, these men are a force to be reckoned with, and can be considered knights as they live for good deeds and fight with honor. Trained to form wedges in battle, a charge from these heavily armored horses and men can be devestating, as they are very resistant to arrows and weapons. Using their lances gives them a long reach in battle, and are when broken, they draw shortswords, and fight with great skill and vigor.

However, should they be dismounted, they are at a huge disadvantage, in their extremely heavy armor, making them slow and cumbersome.

Equipment- Outfitted with Chainmail, and Steel Plate over top, they are like trying to cut a building in half. However, they only travel with their chainmail on, relieving some weight on the horses, letting the squires carry the armor and outfit them when battle is imminent.

5 foot lances. Shortswords.

50 Battlemages of the Burning Axe- THe Elite men of Commander Paurand's army, these men have spent their lives training in Destruction magic and ighting with weapons. THeir signature is their Axe's have been enchanted to burn with artificial fire, which does no real damage because of the problem of keeping the weapons charged. Wearing a light armor, they are protected but able to cast their spells with full force.

Rarely used, only in desperate situations wil they join the fray, or if the enemy is close to breaking and the Commander wishes to see heavy enemy causualties.

Equipment- Outfitted with chainmail, and studded leather overtop they are sufficiently protected from enemy attacks. THey wear enchanted hoods, which act like helmets but weigh almost nothing.

Wielding Steel Axes and Shields, they also use their spells through touch.

20 War-Wizards- Men and women specializing in Ranged Destruction spells and Illsuion to confuse the enemy, these wizards are trained only for the offense. THey use fireballs and lightning bolts to blast holes in the enemy lines, and demoralize them with Illsuion, creating more gaps in the lines.

They are extremely vulnerable to enemy fighters and arrows and magick as they rarely cast spells to protect themselves.

Equipment- Blood Red Robes, with the Army creast on them. Hoods tro match the robes.

No weapons except magick.

3 (10 men to work them) Trebuchets- Large mechanical machines capable of throwing rocks long distances and tearing down enemy walls and fortifications, as well as hitting enemy soldiers though they are quite unnacurate for this.

THey require a large team to work them, and reloading is quite a process.

Equipment - Several rocks carried by horse-pulled carts.

Operators have no weapons or armor.

10 Scouts and Spies- Men used for spotting the enemies movements and postions along with the size of the enemy. Wearing no armor, and wielding light weapon's they scout atop fast and quick horses who can move across many different types of landscapes.

When battle is joined, the scouts rejoin the main force and help the Commander and his Bodyguards to relay information through the lines to the Battalion Captain's.

Equipment - CLothes for any environment and time of day.

Daggers or shortswords.

10 Commander's Bodyguards- Fighters's of fair skill, but act as more a presence of power for their Commander, as they ride aside their leader on brilliant horses. THey also act as their leader's advisor's in times of battle and are usually the telling information to the SCouts when battle is joined.

When they need to fight they are capable of defending themselves and fighting off the enemy. THese men are strategic minds as well, able to lead an army if a Commander should be killed or injured.

Equipment - Chainmail with Leather overtop with the creast painted on. Beautifully crafted helmets, with wing like pieces of metal coming out of the sides, and made from steel and with gold lines running on them.

Beautiful Longswords. Shortswords.

Age : 25

Birthsign : the Lady

Class : exiled aristocrat turned healer

Skills : Illusion, restoration, blade, speechcraft, alchemy, alteration, light armor
minor skills : a bit of practice at sneaking, acrobatics and hand-to-hand fighting from her years of hiding

Spells
Restoration : assorted healing spells (self and others), fortify stats spells, absorb health, absorb fatigue
Alteration : Ondusis's open door, Timur's hoptoad, lock, burden, first to third barriers spells
Illusion : night eye, calm humano?d, calm creature, invisibilty, silence, paralyse, demoralize, light
Mysticism : soultrap, soul vision, dispelling
Destruction : enough knowledge to light a campfire, clear a bed from his fleas, electrocute a stray dog into running away or put a bit of ice in a water cup and that's about it.

Equipment :

dwemer vampire blade (dwemer shortsword, cast on strike absorb health and fatigue, not very powerfull nor many charges)
leather cuirass and boots worn over a linen skirt and tunic.
Cadra signet ring : enchanted with a low-level constant restore health and fatigue effect. Not enough to alter the outcome of a combat, but handy for long travels and quick recovery. The signet is hidden by an added poorly gold-plated copper add-on.
traveller's robes over the armor - an ample brownish robe of sturdy fabric. An oiled linen hooded cloak for rainy days and a pair of somewhat worn walking boots.
linen skirt and tunic under the armor
a thin bronze chain enchanted with a low level frost or fire damage enchantment - just the thing to wrap around a glass to keep it cool or dump into into to warm it.

Background : Elissandre is the daughter of the now-defunct baron of Cadra, a minor breton domain and therefore the proud heiress to a smoking ruin, since the domain was invaded by a neighboring baron, most of her family getting killed in the process.

She ran away from Highrock and ended up moving around Cyrodill, peoples being more concerned with the Oblivion crisis and it's sequels than the feuds of some minor Breton lordling. With thughs on the lord of Arsange's payroll nosing around for her, she went into hiding into less than reputable places along with less than reputable peoples. There she earned a living by selling her magical skills, improving her mastery of illusion and alteration with unguilded mages - the Mage guild didn't want anything to do with a gal of dubious parentage and equally dubious masters.

Appearance : Elissandre is a rather short but good looking redhead, though not much of it shows up from under the ample brownish robe she's wearing. One dwemer shortsword is sheated at her belt.

Personnality : rather easygoing and with a bit of an hedonistic streak, Elissandre prefers calming issues or finding ways around them than open confrontation. Though definitively not overly worried about the law, she draws a strong line at what she deems bad. Her usual concern about a questionable action would be 'is that only illegal or is it nasty' - the second options meaning 'without me'.

In the basemant of that house was a network of tunnels which led to the Imperial City Sewers, and one day, a band of Dark Brotherhood assassins visited them. They offered the vampires a place in their family, and Gaius accepted, so did Marcus. For years they fulfilled contracts, but one day, they both grew weary. They set up their own sanctuary, with the permission of Arwen, after the Oblivion Crisis. Now, they both run the sanctuary, in their 'tunnel network' which was now the corridors of an underground sanctuary.

NAME:Lord Cerdok Halmourn (ser-dook)
RACE:Redguard
GENDER:Male
AGE:22
APPEARANCE:Tall, Angry scar down left cheek
CLASS:
SKILLS:Blade, Heavy Armour, Block, Destruction, Restoration, Security, Speechcraft

EQUIPMENT:
Heavily enchanted suit of ebony legion armour with a dragon cast onto the briast-plate in gold,
Crimson cloak
Crimson Tunic with a dragon sewn into the front with gold thread
Expertly crafted ebony longsword with absorb health and soul trap enchantments
Many potions, Scrolls and many other magic items that could prove useful (like rings and amulets)

BIO:
A lord of Sentinel who has set out to prove himself in the war against Orsinium. He grew up in the house of a wealthy noble who ascended through the ranks of Sentinels ruling class through a combination of assasinations, blackmail, bribery and various other practicer of the trade. Cerdok spent much of his life studying the books in his family library, and because of this he has a vast wealth of knowledge in his head. His personal traainers have drilled every combat technique there is into him, be it personal or commander.

He spent several years adventuring and aquired quite the collection of magic items. His adventuring has made himself quite a reputation in Hammerfell and High Rock. The years he spent adventuring increased his treasury a fair sum and his family is richer than ever now. His most notable accomplishment was the slaying of the vampire Shouldran and his minions. The battle nearly claimed his life and it was here where he contracted the disease of vampirism. He traveled far and wide before finding someone who knew the cure in Cyrodill.

Now that war has broken out his legion has been sent on all kinds of difficult missions into orcish territory. He is a master strategist and his soldiers love him. Cerdok has hated orcs with a passion ever since his father was murdered by an asassin, hired by the orcs of Orsinium. He usually tries to do what is right, but this does not mean hes above using force and treachery to achive his ends. Now the war has put more pressure on him than it ever has before, faced with the problem of feeding his legion, making sure he wins the next battle, not to mention the political pressure ariving by currier from Sentinel and the other major cities in lilac bay. Yet somehow he still manages to stay together.

PERSONALITY:
A fairly fun and funny man to be friends with despite the glare he walks around with. He carefully contemplates the results of his actions and is overly fond of using big words (wich confuses some). He is without remorse and is like ice to his enemies.

THE 5th SENTINEL LEGION:
5000 units (approximately)

3000 heavy infantry and archers (Chainmail with briast-plate, pikes and long swords for heavy infantry)(Chainmail, Short swords and Longbows for the archers)
1000 Cavalry (Full plating armour with full face helm, longswords, lances)
500 Battlemages (chainmail, and longswords)
500 Scouts and light Cavalry (Leather and longswords for scouts)(Chainmail longswords and lances for light cavalry)
25 trebuchets, 50 ballistae and the crews to operate them, (Crews have leather and shortswords)

All the soldiers are well disciplined and trained. The reason for the legions succsess is the longbowmen who can fire a great distance and re-load in seconds to send a hail of 3ft shafts raining down upown the enemy. The standard tactic is to put lines of pikemen infron of the longbowmen, then have heavy cavalry on the sides of the centre formation ready to flank the enemy with enough speed to keep the enemy from responding.

The fighting in the passes is starting to wear on the men and women who set out from Sentinel, despite Cerdok's natural ability to raise morale. The 5th legion is currently assaulting Hammer Hieght fortress and victory seems within theyre grasp. If Hammer Height falls the 5th legion can march north and ease the pressure off the Bretons laying sige to Malacaths Pride. The 5th legion is currently marching with the 7th and 14th legions.

Last post from thread one:

Gold-heart saw the vampire was about to be quickly crushed under the foot of the redgaurd, and now the remaining Gangsters (about four) were on their feet and fighting hard.

"you wanna see what happens when you mess with the Ebon blades, pal?" The large redgaurd man said to Gaius, "You end up dead!"

The Redgaurd unseathed a large, Ebon claymore and seemed to be about to put an end to Gaius's life well, if you can call being a vampire really alive. it is somewhat of a half alive thing... ah, nevermind. I have to help the guy. Gold-Heart thought to himself.

Gold-heart pulled out his spear and ran toward the redgaurd, "Aye, want to know what happens when you screw with me?" Gold-Heart said as he swung his spear and slammed the blunt end of his spear into the back of the redgaurds helmet. The redgaurd staggered back, but quickly turned to Gold-Heart and gave a heavy swing of his blade. gold-Heart blocked it with his spear and pushed it back. "My Turn" Gold-heart said. Gold-Heart quickly Thrust his spear into the redgaurd, the ebony tip coming out of his back. The redgaurd went limp, and Gold-heart removed his spear.

But, with the breif chance opened by the time it took to remove his spear, a gangster with a wooden club swung his club down on gold-Hearts back. Gold-Heart groaned from the pain. If He tried to pull out the spear, the bandit would get another shot at him. So Gold-heart did something the bandit obviously did not expect.

Gold-Heart swung around and delivered a hard kick to the man. His foot landed in the man's stomach, and the man was barechested. This gave Gold-Heart the chance to remove his spear and prepare for attack. Gold-Heart Swung his spear low at the already dazed gangster, and the man triped to the ground. Now, gold-Heart thrust his spear through the bandits face, a rather gruesome display that was even hard for Gold-heart to watch.

Demoralized by the attacks of Gold-heart and his friends, the bandits quickly turned tail and fled. "Well, If they are ebon blades, we probably just got on the top of their hit list. We really have better get out of here now. but to where would it be safe?"

Slowly getting up, Gaius began to speak. 'Th- the Ebon Blades are everywhere, in every city. You saved me, I should take you to the safest place there is. A sanctuary, but if we go, you must tell not of it to a soul.' Gaius sighed. He owed Gold Heart it for saving his life, and the others too. He secured his dagger and shrugged his shoulders. 'But it's up to you.'

"As I've already said, in the short run I think our safest bet is with the watch - helping make and secure an hospital in one of the watchtowers. They're about the safest structures we can find nearby, and the watch and the Legion will have a vested interested in making sure nothing untoward happens to us. Even if they're busy clearing the merchant district, these towers have only a single, easily defensible door, with walls strong enough to take siege engines fire.
This will put us square on the Legion's good side, and let us give than loony necromancer into the Law's hands rather than letting her either run free or get her throat sliced in the mess.

Oh sure we've just won a spot on the Ebon blade's ill-wish list, but with that assault, they'll end up bloddied and with the whole Imperial City's nobility pissed at them along with the Elder Council and the Legion. They'll be busier thinking about their skins than ours for a while."

"Alright, then, we need to head to a watchtower. We may not find many gaurdsmen inside, but who knows, anywhere is safer than here." Gold-heart turned around, noticing that many conventional routes were probably hindered by gangs and fire. "Then again, getting there is another story entirely."

Gold-Heart noticed the sound of armoured footsteps hussling towards the group. It couldn't be the gangsters, though, these were steel. Imperial steel. Gold-Heart spun around and looked to see 5 gaurdsmen running towards the group, several civillians close behind them. They ran up th Gold-heart, "Sir, these people say they were saved by a band of adventurers, and that they were dealing with a necromancer and her giant monster. Is everything okay? where is the necromancer?"

Gold-Heart pointed towards the unconciouss necromancer, "There they are, captain. the innocents are safe now, although this womans potions of explosions may cause serious damage here in the city. Do you have any sort of safehaven we can retreat to?"

"Yessir, we are keeping civillians in a nearby watchtower. Follow us, sir." The gaurd ordered his men to grab the necromancer, and Gold-Heart looked o his comrades, "Aye, looks like were finnally having some luck." Gold-Heart turned and followed the watchmen, as they twisted and turned through the burning streets.

they finnaly came upon a watchtower in the arena district and went inside. many civillians were injured, many were crying, and the small space was crowded with much more people than what could be deemed safe. "Were asking everyone to wait out the riot here. We can release you once the battle is done. Stay here until then." The gaurdsmen motioned for some of the other gaurds, and they ran back out, trying to save anyone they could in the mess that was the imperial city.

" Great, were in a watch with a bunch of civilians." "How long do you think this is going to last?"Salith took out his shortsword wich reclaimed, to check for any damage. He put it away and he pored some water around his wound and got a peice of cloth and titly wraqed it around."So what do you think they are after, no random gang riot happens every day, there must be a reason why?"

The Arena Watchtower, Imperial City

sheathing the short sword he tossed to Salith earlier, Theailan looked around the room. It was cramped and smelled of blood and fear it's like animals in a pen in here, he thought with revulsion, to turn his mind away form the he focused on Saliths question. "if these are just cut purses and home robbers then it makes no since. the saying goes 'you can shear a sheep many times but butcher it only once', so why burn the houses, or kill people that they could rob again later? if it where two groups i could see them fighting over territory, but that would be fighting each other, not killing everything in there path. there must be something else in this that we can't see..."

looking at the blood soaking through the cloth pressed to Saliths are, he quickly changed the subject. "those with healing magic will be too busy tending the people with the worst wounds, it may be some time before that will be looked to. come, lets see what we can find for stitching and bandages. there are many lives here that do not hang in the balance, but are injured, best if we look to the small hurts, so others can do for the greater"

Falling back on her training as a healer, elsisandre began organising the refugee - sending some up onto the city walls to make sure she would have enough space to work and give the more seriously injured some breathing space. Emptying her backpack for her medical supplies, and pulling out her enchanted chain, activating it's fire enchantment and dropping it into a bucket of water to heat it.

"My take on it is to show they can - if they manage to wreak a huge pile of havoc and get away with it, they set themselves as the thoughest guys around the block, thougher than even the Watch and the Legion. Let's hope they've bitten mor than they can swallow here. If the Legion does a good job of it, using the city walls to keep them from joining forces, odds are the Ebon blades will pay a price high enough that few will want to join.

But if they screw up, any brute around will run to join the Ebon Blades for the chance to be in the thoughest bunch of bastards around..."

Gaius climbed up the ladders to the top of the tower, having a view of the city. He breathed in the night air; he needed to feed tonight. He engraved a skull into the wall out of boredom, before realizing his bottles of blood smashed in the fight. He would have to get some more somehow before tomorrow. He viewed the city; he could see an inferno erupting in the Elven Gardens District, and pillaging in the Market. He loved to see chaos, and was fascinated by the screams of a dying person, and tonight was a brilliant night for that. He climbed back down the ladder and into the supplies room. He grabbed a loaf of bread and chomped it down, before climbing back into a room where they keep takes and such. In the corner of his eye he saw a half naked man snoring his head off...his bare neck outstretched. Gaius coulden't help it. he checked nobody was around; nobody was, and he sunk his teeth into the guards neck. He was still asleep, the guard, and Gaius crept up to the top. He wiped away the blood, before staring at the chaos.

Name: Two-Face Ojenjii
Race: Khajiit
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Apperance: Ojenjii stands at 6"3', has biege fur, black ears, and lengthy whiskers to compliment his bold hazel eyes. He's well built and agile. Ojenjii takes pride in his cathay-raht brothre and sistre, as well as his own heritage.

Class: Squire
Attributes: Speed, Agility
Skills: Light armor, short blade, sneak, marksman, alchemy, armorer, illusion

Equipment: Ojenjii wears his typical uniform:
a red shirt and black vest under a boiled netch leather cuirass
dark brown pants
netch leather gloves
boiled netch leather pauldrons

The Khajiit's weaponry is typical and unchanged:
silver dagger
iron bow
20 iron arrows
two potions of restore health
a bottle of mazte
and a satchel containing three blank scrolls, a container of ink, and 2 unused quills

Bio:
Ojenjii, like his two adopted sisters, was born and reared in the forests of Valenwood in a small fishing village near the magnificient city of Elden Root. Although the citizens seemed distrustful of the Khajiit and his tightly woven family, Ojenjii became not only a succesful thief, but a well-liked member of the predominently Bosmer captial. It wasn't until Ojenjii's first adopted sistre was killed during a robbery gone wrong, that he decided to leave Valenwood in a quest to realize and achieve his ambitions of greatness. Across Tamriel into Morrowind, Ojenjii's name was cursed as a two faced scoundrel and brigand, who's cunning was unsurpassed. Within a night of becoming a citizen of Morrowind, Ojenjii was bound and sold into slavery by his own master for a mere two thousand septims. He was seperated from his youngest sister, Sobinna, who also became a slave. Ojenjii struggled as a manual laborer, finding his talents going to waste with each passing day. It wasn't long before the Khajiit that slaved in the mines planned an intricate heist against the slave master. In concert, Ojenjii and another Khajiit rebel, forced an attack in the Abebaal slave mines, shattering the shackles of oppression. Ojenjii found himself in the service of Barenziah, who now grieves for her lost son. The Queen Mother has promised Ojenjii quite a bit of money to bring her sons death to justice, as well as platoon of men to help find his sistre. It's all a matter of patience for young Ojenjii-- Two Face Ojenjii.

IC:

It brought back a few unpleasant memories as Ojenjii stepped off the ship to Seyda Neen, his troupe of guards close behind. The first thing he wanted to do was find his sister, rest would come later. "You all rest here until tommorrow." he said over his shoulder. "This one has to pay a visit to an old friend." A few guards resisted, having grown accustomed to staying close to Queen Barenziah. "No!" Ojenjii demanded, wanting to continue on his own for a while. "What I have to do may not be completely legal by your standards. With that said, I order you, as emissary to the court of Barenziah, to rest and gather provisions. The guards gave up and trudged to the local inn, their bags tossed across their shoulders.

OOC: alright, how about we speed up time a little bit to the next day, after the riot is over? Agreeded?

IC: Gold-Heart shrugged. Well, Elissandre will probably heal the people, so I should help later. Gold-Heart, though, was quite tired from the day's rampant events. so, Gold-Heart found an open corner, sat down, and took a good nap.

the gaurd will fix everything by tommorow... Gold-Heart thought as he rested his head.

[Sounds fine for me]

Elissandre kept working , carefully reserving her spells for life-threatening injuries as she had used all of her magic restoration postion. Placing splinters, cleaning and bandagindg wounds and burns, suturing more serious wounds. Hours went by without pause, as the watch kept bringing in injured peoples, she kept silently blessing her enchanted ring. Whoever crafted that ring knew it's trade well. Without it I would already have fallen asleep. It can't do anything for mental strain, but at least I'm not physically tired. But if I ever get my hands on the creep who launched this insane butchery, he's dead. And even if I despise torture, I'm really tempted to make an exception..

Long hours laters, as the slowdown in the victims brought to the tower let her make a pause, Elissandre was surprised to notice sunrays filtering through the tower's arrow slits. I don't know how many peoples I've patched up tonight. Quite a lot I'd say. At least I think the watch won't worry about my license for a while. I don't remember well, but I'm sure I've healed more than a few of them.. Strecthing and yawning she felt the night's fatigue creeping in her mind, if not in her body. And once again praised her ring. Without it's healing effect, I would probably be stiff as a board after a full night's of hard work/

Imperial City Watchtower, mroning, the Imperial City

Gold-Heart woke upfrom his "nap" and could feel sunlight on his face. Hmm... guess I forgot to wake up after an hour. he shrugged and began to get up. he looked to the door as an imperial gaurd captain entered, "Alright, all of you are free to go. the riot is over, and if anyone needs any emergency supplies or shelter, go inside the arena. it has been temporarily converted into shelter for those who need it." The gaurd said and stepped out of the doorway.

most of the people immediatly got up and gathered their belongings and left. Gold-Heart got up, "alright, looks like we can finnally get out of this place." he said as he slowlywalked outside.

Outside, the arena district seemed untouched by the riot. Then again, with the arena not having any housholds or such, there was really no reason to riot there. Smoke could still be seen in the air, where some of the bigger fires were not put out. But, the sun was shinign, and there was many things to do before Gold-Heart could leave. Gold-Heart turned to his friends, "Where to now?"

*****

Horang Gro-jumak struggled in the chair his brenton captors had put him in. "I will NEVER tell you anything!" he yelled. "Burn in Oblivion!"

the brentons had ambushed his men earlier, and defeated his untrained orcs with ease. now, he was a captive, and could screwup everthing he had worked for.

"Talk, orc, or the dagger will make you talk!" a brenton interogator told him. the brenton had tried magic, but it was no use. the orc had some special resistance to the magic, probably to prevent information from leaking.

"No, I will never talk" he said. the brenton gave him a menacing stare, enraged with frustration, and thrust the dagger through his leg. "TALK!!! Or I will stab you so many times you will never be able to speak again!!!"

the brenton had done exactly what the orc wantd him to do: get close. Opened his mouth wide and slammed it shut, and the brenton heard a pop. the orc opened his mouth, and a lethal gas came out of it. the orc's eyes rolled back into his head and he fell to the ground, and the brenton ran out coughing, looking for his commander in the camp

"co...commander paurand, the orc... commited.. suicide... blast, he poisoned... me... too" the interogator said before collapsing to the ground from the poison gas.

Salith felt good to finally leave the tower. He could strech his legs and breathe a little easier. There was still smoke in the air and some fires.

He answered Gold-Hearts question" I think we should go were ever needs us, I'm not sure realy."" The riots over now, so were do you think they left to do?"

after a night of running, fetching, splinting, stitching, bandageing, and pulticing Theailan was bone tiared, but at least he had the chance to refill his empty quiver with some good steel arrows he found in the tower armory while looking for more suplies. much of his clothes have now been stained red with the blood of the wounded he had helped, but they would fade to brown soon enough, though he would like to wash them out the, smell would draw predators in the woods otherwise.

turning to the Argonians with his baggy black orb eyes "i'm ready to drop, and i'm suprised she's not" says Theailan as he points to Elissandre. with a heavy sigh "when sleep is lacking, food must do, i say we find somthing to eat, some frute, and fish if we can find it, or maybe some fresh eggs. this will give us a chance to clear our heads, finish our introductions, and speak on what comes next."

Elissandre walked out, breathing with relief the smoke-ladden air. Not exactly the freshest breeze, but it beats a tower packed with woundeds hands down...

"I don't know where we might go, but I can suggest what to do." Pointing at her thoroughly bloodstained dress "First I really need to get myself and my clothes cleaned, then something to eat. That should remove the cobwebs crowding between my ears. And later replenishing my medical supplies, I went to the bottom of them tonight. It was the right thing to do, but it left my short of about everything."

As Theailan commented about her freshness, Elissandre gave him a tired smile "That's because I'm good enough with restoration magic to keep some weak spell running to take care of physical fatigue as it comes. But I feel about like my brain had been replaced with a nice fuzzy pile of wool. I won't be able to think straight before I get chance for a break and something to eat. And a bath. Ideally a hot and long one, in a pool-sized bathtub."

Balmora, Morrowind

Balmora's former glory seemed dulled and parched compared to the debris of damaged houses and fallen taverns. As Ojenjii walked the streets, a distinct voice called out to him. It was his old friend Gaban, a Bosmer of the Thieves Guild who had helped him break free from the Abebaal mine. "Old friend Gaban! How have you been?" Ojenjii asked sincerely. "How do I look?" the round faced Bosmer smiled, his arms extended to give the Argonian a warm hug. "Is there a place to drink anymore?" he asked, finding his thirst for booze unresistable. Gaban nodded and led his friend through the battered ruins of Balmora, to the old pub known as the South Wall Cornerclub. "My word. It still stands!" Ojenjii gasped, grateful that the Guild still remained safe. "Of course it is!" Gaban smiled, amused at Ojenjii's fascination. "After the Nerevarine left, the Camonna Tong crumbled. Which eliminated the last of our enemies. The Hlaalu paid good money to replace their finances by hiring us. As I'm sure you've heard, the Hlaalu have grown to dominate the land. Although Balmora isn't in it's peak condition, we stay well fed and well payed. And that's good enough for me!" the Bosmer laughed.

As the two neared the bar, Gaban stopped to speak with a tall, thin Dunmer, who had a large quilt draqed over a bonemold cuirass. It was clearly an agent of the Hlaalu, keeping a watchful eye on the regulars. "Go ahead, I've gotta take care of something." Gaban motioned to the barkeeper, who grabbed a flaggan of matze and two glass mugs.

After a few minutes, Ojenjii's friend was at his side, downing brew after brew. "So why'd you come back?" Gaban asked, his voice trailing off with a hint of drunkeness. "I needed some information Gaban." Ojenjii replied while fiddling with the scrolls in his satchel. Gaban met the glare of his friend and immediately understood. "She's in Hla Oad." Gaban whispered reluctantly. "I'd watch out though my furry little friend. There are a few Camonna Tong left there. Nadene Rotheran supports their cause, so I'd start with her."

Ojenjii stood and thanked his friend. After downing what was left of his mazte, he turned and headed for the door. "Ojenjii! I can't let you leave." Gaban said firmly. Ojenjii turned, his expression confused and yet reserved. "Wha..?" As Ojenjii turned to face his traitorous, something blunt caught him across the face. Darkness enveloped the Khajiit. His last thought was how two-faced Gaban was, more so than he.

Gold-Heart chuckled at Elissandre's longing for a bath, "we could all use a bath, trust me. i'm not feeling to hot either, right now. Remember, I took down several rioters last night, and that can be tiring sometimes, and for last nights situation, quite stressful."

Then Gold-Heart adressed Theailans's comment, "well, if you wish for introductions, I guess there is no harm in that. My name is Gold-heart, professional adventurer. I have been searching for a band of people who are willing to help the less fortunate and fix the problems in the povinces. and, from what was displayed last night, it would seem all of you are men and women I would let join. You may accompany me on my travels If you will. Elissandre already has agreed to," he motioned to elissandre, "i would appreciate it."

"But, now to present concerns. The arena is where the refugees are, but i don't think we will find much in ways of supplies here in the imperial city. Most of the shops, I am guessing, are ransacked. We may have to leave the imperial city, suit up, and return here later. I have friends in Chorrol, Swift-Blade, who owns a large estate in chorroll, and Aarawen, who has connections to house Telvanni. My say is we leave here and head for chorrol. I estimate it should take a few days, possibly a week if we go there and begin our return journey the next day, but i beleive rest would be best right now. And, from the damage, the city may take a while to repair, so two weeks sounds good."

"So, anyone else want to take a nice vacation in Chorroll?" Gold-Heart asked.
