The Freeze Club!

Post » Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:26 pm

I only had a couple of freezes in the first 20 or so hours of play, but now that I'm nearing level 20 and my save file is around 7MB I've been freezing probably twice an hour.

I'd like to note that I always freeze in "the Mojave wasteland" IE; outside, I've never frozen indoors. Freezes most commonly occur after a transition, but I've had it lock when I'm just walking as well(and not when hitting a cell border, I always reload and check the area map to make sure).

What a disaster this game has been. So many loyal fans lie broken and distraught. Ok not really, but we are severely disappointed. Such an incredible title over the years has been treated as if its "just another game". Many of us waited years and years through trials and tribulations for Fallout 3. For the most part we were satisfied. But this, this is a mess. A testament to how much you developers actually give a damn. So you listen. You upload a patch. A patch that does what you say? Well for me all it did was remove the incendiary anti-material rifle bug that allowed me to acquire iconic armor for the faction I love. Who else but Bethesda/Obsidian would create such an iconic symbol for such a badass faction and not give you a way to acquire said symbol while still remaining on good terms with the NCR? So thanks for taking away my one method of having cool armor. All the while NOT fixing the real problem, which is of course, repeated lock ups at random intervals causing your complete disaster of a "game" to be unplayable. Thanks guys and enjoy my money! You earned it! /end sarcasm

I also have a couple of other thoughts....I heard that Bethesda got bought out due to financial issues, so I wonder if that has something to do with the crappy testing, and my other thought is more of a question....HOW CAN I LEVEL UP WHEN THE GAME NOW DOESN"T GIVE ME ANY XP POINTS FOR ANYTHING I DO? WTF?!?!?!?!?! I would like to blow up the BoS hideout, and help out Mr. House but since I cannot level up, I cannot get 100% computer/science skills....If I kill Mr. House, then I am not happy with the results. Should I just put this game on the shelf for a month and get the online update for Red Dead Redemption (Zombie pack)? I am thinking so...oh, BTW, RDR never froze even with online play......Comments?
