I have been a huge fan of the TES series since I first bought Morrowind back in 2003 on Xbox. Damn now I thank myself for sinking myself into that wonderful world as we can call Tamriel, full of interesting lore, creatures and artifacts. I have subsequently played and finished the 2 sequels with all their respective DLCs and I enjoyed them for the most part but each time, a little part of me was left quite unpleased, yet to say disappointed. I have also played a fair amount of time the 2 prequels which was at first a bit difficult since playing a series backwards, especially video games, is a little hard to get used to the prior and usually older graphics and mechanics and to get into but ended up to be damn good RPG where Morrowind definitely got its rooting which made the game so praised and popular.

We all know that the series won't end soon so we can surely expect a sixth installement which's name and place are still unknown, but I can bet that there will be one and I'll probably enjoy it, as I enjoyed every games Bethesda released anyway. The problem is... how much will I enjoy it? Will it be suprisingly more or predictably less like every sequels they've released? All the time I have played a TES game, the pleasure line was always there but since Morrowind, the curve has been going downward and it looks like that with each new games they make, I am (just) a bit less enjoyed overall, but I still do play them and end up adoring them.

I have found this interresting video that some of you might have already seen which sums up pretty much my thoughts on the progression of the games and its series. It is on YouTube and it's called The Elder Scrolls - The Dumming Down. I would suggest you to take a look at it, it's well-made and pin on some good points.
