[RELz] The Gambler

Post » Mon Aug 23, 2010 8:02 pm

Hi, Fliggerty.

I tried to translate you Plugins into German, but I have problems when it comes to the Scripts.
I got rid of this "Script not compiled"-Error by using the http://home1.gte.net/cdcooley/, but I still get error Messages (something with EXPRETION for the Script with luck in its name; the other I don't remember) when I try to enter the cell with Matrim.

You can get my try of a translated *.esp http://www.4shared.com/file/91478899/a2ca7656/The_Gambler_DV.html.
Can you please have a look and fix it if it's not totally screwed up.

PS:
My ReadMe says I've translated v1.0 (didn't know of v1.1).
The one here in the thread also, by the way. ;)

PS?:
I deleted 4 Info-entries which I think doesn't belong to this Plugin.
They are right above and below the gambler entries in the Topic- and the Grettings1 (don't know, but it's not 5 ;))-Tab

Don't use that, it's quite outdated. Get the current version of MWEdit here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mwedit/

Look four posts up. ;) I always update all both of the existing downloads that the thread links to.

All of the tutorials that I learned to do dialogue with told me not remove the linking dialogue entries. I've learned lately that this isn't really good advice, so I do intend to fix that in any of my mods that include dialogue.

BTW, I would appreciate it if you would contact me privately about translating my mods. I have no objection to it generally, but I do like to know what is happening with my mods on the chance that I update them. I dislike having older versions of my mods floating around that has my name attached to it.

Thanks, I didn't know what to search for, so it was just Morrowind Script Extender. ;)

Well, I downloaded the Mod quite some time ago, so I think it really was v1.0.
And I was a bit too lazy to do the same thing again, only on the new version. ;)

Well, didn't know that.
I'm not that familiar with Morrowind-Modding. :embarrass:

No problem, file removed from the link above. Didn't work anyway, so...
I'll send you the link to the translation of v1.1 via PM when I'm done.

The only difference between the two versions is the resources included in the file...there's no difference with the esp. So please don't duplicate your work! :hehe:

I hope you don't have a problem if I post it here. I'd have sent you a PM, but as shown above that's not a valid way to contact you at the moment. ;)

Oh, I hardly know where to upload German mods. So if you would please be so kind as to upload it, I would be most appreciative! I would like to have the link so that I can include it in the RELz thread please.

Oh, and make sure you add your name to the readme! I didn't notice it there, but then again I don't know German...so maybe you already did? You definitely deserve credit for the work you've done bring this mod of mine to more people. :goodjob:

Do you know of any other of my mods that have been translated? And do you know of any more that people would like to have translated?

Thanks!

I included everything except for the English *.esp.
If you want this in any other way let me know about it.

Don't know any other translated mods, but one mod which I think is interesting is your fleeing fletchers-mod, but this works with other languages without a translation. :)
By the way, are there any texts the user sees ingame?

Thanks Low Post!

I've taken care of my inbox...it gets away from me sometimes. There's a lot of people who like to ask me stuff. :hehe: Please note you can always reach me at GHF, my inbox there has no limit. ;)

I appreciate you doing this. Feel free to translate any of my other mods.

FFF has no texts at all.
