I am playing crysis 2 on my xbox360 on supersoldier difficulty. I am on the lab rat level. I am on the part where you have to defeat the helicopter. Right after I defeat it, the game freezes. I restarted my xbox 360 again and got the same result. I tried 2 more times but to no avail. Finally I decided to start the level over completely. I defeat the helicopter again and it freezes. I dont know wtf is going on but its driving me nuts. If you are familiar with this issues, when will a patch be put out to fix this issue?

Happened to me as well but I just restarted my 360 and kept rolling. No biggy.

but as soon as i beat the helicopter it freezes. if i start the level over it will just do the same thing. i dont wanna trade it in because its such a good game. i dont know wtf to do right now.

Dont worry... yet.

1st: Play the game again, it might have a been an unlucky streak.
2nd: If not, unplug your hardrive, make sure to use an oxygen or carbon tank to blow air into the recieve port and the HDD connect port. Try again
3rd: Blow air into the disc port to make sure the lens dosn't have a hair or dirt on top. Get a canyster. if there is no canister... you can swlallow saliva for around 10 seconds to make your mouth as dry as possible before blowing one hard blow. ONLY ONE. Mouth water quickly after.
4th: If not, clear system Cache and redownload the patch.
5th: If not clear system cache and play without the patch.
6th: Call Xbox and tell them what you've tried so far. If they got no answers... exchange the game. Any store with an open game will exchange it for a new copy.

If all else fail... then is your xbox reader thats getting old.

same thing happened to me but it happened to me just before i killed the twits in the lift i would take 3 steps and it freezes so me mate said it could be coz i got killed while the game was saving at a check point and he was right so i just started the mission again and it worked im now on like the 9th mission on supersoldier only other thing it could be is a faulty part of the disc

Actually for me it happended with Prototype. My friend happended with ODST. Not sure why it happended. Either way I just opended my xbox. Reconnected the cables, brush a bit. And worked fine.
