The game is good, now stop bashing it!

Seriously the gameplay is fun, the graphics are decent. Why do you hate it?

I had problems with this game, it pissed me off. I couldnt play for the first week, and when I could play my upgrades didnt save. That **** pissed me off, but this is all getting fixed. So do you hate the game or are you just pissed at bugs? Or are you so shallow that graphics are everything? Cause the graphics look fine, they're not the next benchmark, but comparing it to other new games they are pretty good. And the bonus is that the game runs fluent. And the graphics will get better aswell when the DX11 patch comes. Next consern is hackers, and yes there are quite a few of them. But Crytek already made some kind of anti hack program which they are probably working hard on improving and catching most of the hackers. Hacking is always a problem for FPS games, especially on release, so this is not something new or specific to Crysis 2.

I think the game launched to early, unfinished, and it made me kinda mad. But even so I think the game itself is very good, when it works. And since it launched they have been fixing stuff, so now it works for me and Im happy. The early launch is most likely not Cryteks fault either, its probably EA just rushing it out to make money, fast. The game had a rough launch, but its a good game, so just give it some time and Crytek will fix all these issues. If you just dont like the game itself then why are you raging? I buy games I dont like all the time, just quit playing it and move on.

There was too much ranting over stupid **** with ridiculous arguments, so I felt I had to make a thread (which will probably be filled with flames).

From what I see on these forums, it's mainly like...Europeans and Russians complaining. I mean, I'm American, and i don't see that many North American, South American, or Australian people complaining. On multiplayer the servers are full with plenty of legit players. Idk lol, haters will hate? Thing is people have ignorance and are jumping the "hate bandwagon."

The game is excellent, screw the haters. The real fans support Crytek. Plus, I admit Crysis 2 is incomplete but Crytek is not at fault..EA is, for **** around with the release date.

TBO I'm more interested in the SP and storyline but I wont play it until they fix the SP bugs. I want the full experience, not a broken one.

I've definitely noticed the bugs, but they're not big enough to warrant complete and total butthurt complaints, in my honest opinion. The game's been nothing but a positive experience for me. The main thing I'm happy about is that I'm able to run it without framerate issues.

There's 2 quite annoying bugs, nanocatalyst disappearing in singleplayer, levelling up but not unlocking stuff in multiplayer. Combined with currently missing features, mod/map support, working in-game rcon, graphics options. Some people are a bit disappointed.

However I like the singleplayer a lot and currently the multiplayer, however generic servers wont last long without a community feeling.

Funny thing is I bet 90% of the people on here don't even play the game.
They just run around staring at graphics in game then complain on forums refusing to play it further.

Its a major downgrade compared to the original. Sorry, but Its pretty obvious Crytek spent more time hyping up the console versions then actually working on the game.

Because it's a Crytek game. Nobody contests that it's an "okay" game, but it's not to their level. Also, the PC version's full of bugs and basically broken for most of its players.

This is somewhat why I usually don't play the singleplayers until 1 year after the game has been out. This is so that the majority of the bugs are fixed and I have have fun playing my game.

MAJOR SPOILERS JUST SAYING.

This game is crap. Are you kidding me. Lets start from the beginning okay? Nomad a women and the Brit were chasing after profit after the Nuclear attack that failed... None of the aliens that we battled were even in the game except in a dam flashback. Our team? Never existed as far as the game is concerned. Profit is being hunted by PMC's that could better use there time in fighting an attacker and a villian who is upset he had some of his men killed of the bat and is bent on killing the one thing that gives them an edge. ARE YOU INSANE? Then towards the end of the game you have an epic battle with the guy via him hiding in a tower. The epic battles with the seth are done so by fisting a peice of glass that some how causes an overload in pressure???? Oh and you climbing in the dam thing and watching a cut scene with a few mouse clicks. WHAT A JOKE.

You don't even see the Seth or what ever they are called till a quarter of the game. They kill off the main character Prophet by his own hands. Stupid as hell guy survives everything from the first game just to be suicided by crappy writing. The character they give you is a Gordon Freeman knock off. In a symbiotic suite. Not something the United states created for its special forces as we were led to believe. Any tie in to the original story completely half assed. The the game play is changed to mimmick that of console games. They took an original idea and story arc and change it to come in line with everything else we have seen and the mulitplayer and vehicle system is gone. No more running across a huge map with anticipation and cat and mouse on an awesome open level with tons of possibilities. Flying Vehicles? Thats gone, Driving boats and regular vehicles. Thats gone too except in the cery small less than half a foot ball fiel distance you get to drive. Game used to be about choice. Get in a vehicle and storm the gates or sneak in and kill cat and mouse style or not at all.

The game we have was designed for the Niave console gamer who doesn't know any better and has never played the first crysis and it will probably sell well too. The PC gamer was just tricked into buying a game they thought a developer who had the balls push the envleope caved to EA and we should have known to with all the pissing and moaning they did about how the game didn't sell well and them complaining about pirated copies. WAAAAAAAAAh Cry me a river. Hell it only sold 1.75 million coppies and that was 5 months after release but hey. Didn't matter that the game had graphics capabilities no one saw before or the fact most machines couldn't run it but now can.

This game is crap man. How can you even say this is even close to a good story or game?

Do you really believe that the game is so bad that no one can appreciate it and enjoy it?

If you do, then you've got some serious problems.

Game is broken, stop defending them fanboy.

It's enjoyable for 1-2 rounds in MP then it starts pissin me off again cause the server starts lagging,Killcam is just a laggy mess, then the unlocks dont save, some cheaters step onto the server and so on and so on.

I'm playing it. I'm enjoying it. I don't think the game's broken.

It's not perfect, but it's not as bad as some people claim it to be.

Agreed. It's a good game, orignial MP gameplay, need balancing but quite fun. At least it's my opinion.
I have to say I don't care about dx11 or modding or such things, and even if it is a console port (which is not), who cares if it's good ?
Lot of people complain, but 90 % of players don't even read the forums...

However, my concern is about support and issuing patch to fix bugs and extend content, and that is not done in the right way atm !! No anti-cheat system is also a real issue.
If this is fixed right away, it's fine, otherwise I don't think this community will stay long...

All patches have to go through an approval process. They have to be verified that they work and its not easy to do this. You can not honestly think that this can be done overnight. It takes time and given its Crytek they want it to be good and stable.

You're right but then they shouldn't announce a patch for the end of the week and when seing it's impossible, they say that an anti-cheat system have been released on servers (which obviously you can't verify, especially when there are still cheaters around)

I hope we'll see a patch tomorrow or something. I'm a bit afraid that they may give up the support and use the manpower for something else... which would obviously kill the community

Downgrade how? The textures might be lower quality, but the game itself is no downgrade. And even with lowered textures the game still looks good.

Fanboy alert.
I am no fan boy. I thought the original was ok, I mostly played it to test my rig though. As for this game, its different, I think the gameplay is better then the original, and I can run it at max settings with 60+ FPS, which is great for twitch shooting.

...and the mulitplayer and vehicle system is gone. No more running across a huge map with anticipation and cat and mouse on an awesome open level with tons of possibilities. Flying Vehicles? In the original I personally didnt care for Power Struggle, I thought it was a cheap BF ripoff. I liked Instant Action and Team Instant Action much better. The small maps without vehicles, thats just my style. Even so, you knew about this before you bought the game, its not like they said they'd include those. You played the demo, you knew what you were buying.

i dont think everyone hates it but a few things happen

no cheat system

people lose ranks weapons and more

LE dont work

servers dont always start

connection problems randomly

lack of communication from crytek staff

and some more

do we all hate it no do we deserve some kind of communication and support yes do we get that so far no.

i can understand that people are pissed some payed 60 dollar/44 euro for this game and having all kind of problems for more then a week thats bad and had to be fixed already.

people talked about crysis warhead i checked that out and damn what a difference more destruction and such with a older engine.

we have a new engine and now only the graphics are better but thats it.

do i support ea/crytek? mmm i dont know anymore.. they need to do alot, to let the majority of the gamers get there faith back in ea/crytek

time will tell.
