Just as the title says, i cannot fix this issue. I've changed the display in the options screen. I don't know why my game shuts down on my during game play. I have the disc to install the game, and it's, of course, powered by Steam. I've started the game, both, from my desktop, and from my Steam account. Please help me with this situation.

Its called a "crash to desktop" or CTD for short.

There are plenty of reasons why this happens and usually, but not always, its mod related.

It would be helpful you listed what mods you're using, if any.

Does the PC shuts down when you are playing or does the game close and you are back at the desktop.

Is this the original 32 bit version of Skyrim or the new Special Edition of Skyrim.

Are you using mods?

where does the game crash is it at random locations or is it at the same location?
