The game will be alright

Regardless of what some people think, the game will be alright. I know people are worried about some of the changes they are making, and it is worrisome but we should all show a little faith in the game. Obviously there are some big changes regarding the pc having a voice, dialogue wheel, and possibly no skills but the game isn't forged in the dialogue wheels nor is the experience. No, the game is shaped in the wasteland. The wasteland is where you roleplay; that is where you sit around the campfire and pretend to tell NPCs stories from your past of things you've encountered, what you've done, who you are. The game is about 80% combat and exploration anyways and that's how it's always been. Regardless of how good the plot is or how many options are in the dialogue that's not where you spend the game, that's not where you decide who you want to be. Its in the wasteland you can be a hero, a murderer, straight or gay. Any boundaries that are there are not, yo can choose to let them limit you or allow yourself to enjoy the game you want.

No, we shouldn't.

We should 'never' have 'faith' in a triple-a game that has just been announced, because there is nothing to have faith in.

I'm reserving judgment.

All in all it looks like a good game. It's not the Fallout I was waiting for, but it's a game I would enjoy and the play the hell out of nonetheless.

In the end, we all - both people happy with what we've seen and those of us who disliked it - have to wait to see the final game.

Yes, it will be alright...

...and nothing more.

It tramples the series in order to pander to the Mass Effect, or some other "cinematic" RPG, crowd.

It dosen't look or feel like Fallout anymore, it has familiar set-pieces, but nothing more.

Yes, it'll be alright, and nothing more, because Bethesda decided to cash out all their chips.
