The Gang is in Utah now, announcement tommorow?

Post » Tue May 04, 2010 6:54 pm

Come tomorrow, we will be just as disappointed when they don't announce anything.

*snicker* Although the update by Jason today was nice, and whatever tidbits Sawyer provided.

In latin, Ex means from.

But getting back to the topic, I wouldn't trust anything until I can see a trailer for it and an official statements. I remember this happening for F3 as well on other forums.

So I was right about the next DLC being done and we are just waiting on Bethesda to do their job? Which is an offical patch which is coming out soon?

I cannot believe that they would do a press conference... in Utah... and not release info about a completed DLC that takes place... in Utah. I mean, really? It just seems absurd to me.

For the record do DLCs get their own press conferences in the first place. Other than the press release online being the announcement.

Might come later down this week. If you check Jason's topic he made today he gave a good explanation. Although I'm worried they half way finished Honest Hearts and are working on another. It isn't as massive and well done a I'd hoped then.

Still I'm glad thsir focused on releasing an overall patch before the DLC. It makes more sense then afterwards. A lesser bug filled experience then.

It's not half way finished. It's finished, they're just waiting for patch. Look again at announcement.

Apparently. I'm sure their also working on this next DLCs own bugs but it seems their working on the next.

Also both Obsidian and Bethesda have a team working on the bugs. I wouldn't be surprised if Beth's small QA team on New Vegas shrunk even more as their attempting to wrap up the presumbly ambitious and large Skyrim toward a quaint 11.11.11

Still glad their continuing the bug fixes. Not that I'd expect less on the buggiest Fallout to date (Highlighting it's buggy. I've already given New Vegas the recognition of handing Fallout 3 its own ass in some areas)

Didn't word it right. What I ment by half way finished was that I'd hoped Obsidian hadn't wrapped up work on the next DLC and moved onto the third.

What I was hoping was presumbly Honest Hearts was being worked on the whole January- midway April timeslot. Which would make it quite an ambitious DLC(Sadly not an expansion pack :(

ah I see... sorry.
Isn't an expansion pack the same as Downloadable Content? I don't get the difference... I assume an expansion pack is bigger than a DLC Add-on. But if that means making it over 10$, then they wouldn't do that imo.

Expansions are very big, sometimes near the content of the base game (in best case scenarios), and you can usually buy them in a store. Just because it's over $10 doesn't mean it isn't worth it's price, the price would match the amount of content. Bethesda has done expansions in the past, and hopefully, they wouldn't be opposed to allowing Obsidian to do one for New Vegas.

Next Tuesday is the 6th month anniversery since New Vegas came out. The Odds are extremely high in my book that an announcement will happen on that date with an eventual releaes date of either May 3, May 10th, or May 17th. I'm leaning on the 3rd because Brink comes out on the 10th and LA Noire comes out on the 17th.

It should of been "time" a long time ago.

patch is complete too. Just working on getting it delivered. Which all depends on whenever Steam/Xboxlive/Playstation can slot it in. Soon though. This week or next.

How very zen.

Anyway. I see how it would make sense to announce the DLC next tuesday at the 6-month mark, but I'm hoping they will, at least, offer a little peek for us to be excited about and anolyze....even one (just one!) glance at a concept they were working on...new weapon? new armor? new character??

do you think the name Honest Hearts means something profound that will be connected to the DLC cause in all respect to Obsidian i think the name is kind lame IMO...yeah yeah i know who cares right? but i hope it all comes together when we play the DLC. On the other hand Dead Money was an awesome name and went with the story really well. :fallout:

Good for steam. Let us know when they release it.

How did it not make sense?
