An interesting trap might be for a special line of robots to have dead-triggers on them, which mean's they'll detonate and explode upon death. Not really a trap, but it opens up the possibility for the RPers having to learn which robots to deal carefully with.
I could make another Outcast character to replace my own when I die, but I'll go ahead and wait.
EDIT: Nevermind. No harm in making a second char since it won't count towards the cap.
Name: 'Haz-Matt'
Age: 4
Race: RoboBrain/Android
Faction: Outcast
Appearance: He's roughly around 6'4, and extremely bulky. Even if he was originally intended to be a non-discernible android, it's obvious to most that he's an artificial human.
First of all, his torso looks like the Outcast variant of Power Armor, with the exception of the legs and arms. He possesses standard RoboBrain tendrils as his arm appendages, with the sleeves of an Outcast Scribe Robe covering them up, and Power Armor gloves serving as hands. He doesn't have the normal two legs or treads of a RoboBrain or Human.
Instead, two front legs protrude from the bottom of his Power-Armor body, reaching outward away from his body. They're red and black, like the rest of his body, but the feet are massive hulks of metal and the actual legs are large RoboBrain tendrils disguised using Power Armor. His two back legs that protrude from just the back of his torso are nothing but two reinforced RoboBrain tubes with the familiar tread at the end of each one, nothing covering them.
His head is an enlarged variant of the Outcast Power Armor, and the lens are glowing yellow with the occasional red lettering popping up over the screen. Underneath his helmet is his brain suspended in stimulant liquids and tubing, but is also encased in a translucent, skull-shaped shell.
Clothing/Armor: His whole body is pretty much made of Power Armor, so that might count.
Weapons: Has a standard RoboBrain zapper on both hands, along with a Gatling Laser function that he can swap from his normal blasters too at any time.
Misc.: Possesses a cache of ammo in a large compartment on his back. It's mostly Energy Cells and Energy packs, but there's a small amount of Microfusion Cells, too.
Personality: Haz-Matt is bitter at the world. He talks with no emotion towards anything he does, and feels very little for the every day life of humans. He silently follows orders and makes his own decisions based on situations, but will be damned before he helps anyone else. The only functioning part of his mind is his defense properties, which prompts him to protect his fellow Outcasts whenever in a high-risk mission, if he wants to or not. This doesn't stop him from being contempt about it the whole way through, and it's made his programming extremely stubborn.
Being a robot, he possesses a deep, monotone voice and no facial expressions. Thus, it's impossible to understand what's going on in his head unless he flat-out tells you, and since he's not prone to doing that, it won't happen very often.
Bio:
The Outcasts once researched their own means of creating an Android at their Bailey's Crossroads Outpost. They had many of their head minds over there, and although they were scarce on materials, they set out on their ambitious task anyway. They'd managed to recover some flawed intel at the Commonwealth, and used what little they had to create a fighting machine.
They created several robots, actually. Many were started, but never finished, as they simply didn't have the technology. They started relying on Robobrain parts and tech more and more as models started to die off faster and faster. Eventually, they reached the point of Haz-Matt's birth. He was the most advanced one, but once again, they couldn't complete him. By this time, the project's hopes had died off, and the Outcast Scribes and soldiers instead tried to turn him into a normal industrial RoboBrain. Since he was already partially created, and bits and pieces were still functioning, they molded him into his current state.
He was made just in time, it seemed, for a new radio signal had appeared.
Quirks: Has a much darker toned version of a normal RoboBrain's voice. While he's programmed to defend Outcast members, BoS soldiers aren't in his directory. Whether he's updated to do so or not is up to a superior's choice during the RP. Also has a weakness towards Pulse weapons, like any other robot.
Self-sufficient, so needs no food or rest, but needs to restore energy if a reboot is ever necessary.
I know this guy needs approval.
