The Giants & The Five Major Cities

If every city was made as nicely as New Sheoth, I couldn't care less. I want good-looking densely packed cities with character.

It was a very cool city, but pretty small also.

I'm less interested in size than I am in FEEL.

Solitude, for example...
This is the city where Sheogorath corrupted Pelagius. The city of Potema...

You need the locations of Wabbajack, and a bit of a "haunted by history" feel to the city to do it justice. I mean, Potema had armies of the dead. Sheogorath made the Mad Emperor crazy by giving him the Wabbajack. These events need to have made an impression on the underlying psyche of the place. One that remains hundreds of years later, because they changed the world...

I remember reading that minor cities/towns would have 10 buildings. 10 buildings is about how many buildings an Oblivion city had. I'd expect that even if the cities don't take up more space they'll be more densely packed and feel more realistic due to it.

10 building is a farm village like Pele, hakkadirt had far more than 10 buildings.
A real city like Anvil had 3-40 buildings or more,

Think you are mixing up with buildings who are useful to you

BIGGER CITIES!! MORE PEOPLE IN THEM!! MORE THINGS TO DO!!

The cities in Oblivion felt way to small, sure it was nice walking around in them but they were more like small towns or suburbs to IC then cities of their own.. at least that is what I think..

The bigger the giant.. the harder they hit the ground when I slay them.. Honestly I hope the giants in Skyrim will be AT LEAST as big as the Gatekeeper on Shivering Isles.

Some, like Chorrol, were definitely very sparse, but cities like Skingrad were very densely packed. Medieval cities wouldn't have been that dense all the time would they? We know from art that Riften will not be that dense in some parts.

Actually medieval cities were usually very densely pack with people in consideration to their size, mostly because the city walls prevented them from expanding to much and there where no things like skyscraqers back then.. (not counting castles or churches..) and the streets in a typical medieval city would be about the size of the streets of Skingrad.. and smaller..

I'm not confident that Bethesda can make a good big city, they mostly feel empty and kinda uninspired. I think some of the best cities/towns Bethesda has done are
New Sheoth, Vos, Suran, Anvil and Balmora, none of these are especially big. Now some of the worst cities in my opinion are: Vivec, Mournhold and Imperial City.
If they can't put more effort into the larger cities I won't mind if they exclude them.

Uh... you should probably make sure you have SOME idea what you're talking about when you write that. Hackdirt had 6 buildings including the chapel (Although counting the burnt down stuff it might be 8-10). The biggest town was Bleaker's way, which had 8 buildings. The most houses in a city is 21, the lowest 14 (Bravil), but they usually have about 18-20.

EDIT: If you're wondering where I got this from, I counted on here http://www.uesp.net/oblivion/map/obmap.shtml

I honestly wish for size and breadth, after all I chap can dream.
If we have to settle for one breadth and detail would come first.
After all Sigil had few buildings and most areas were pretty small, but the scale of details ad stuff to do was vast.

Saying that please, pretty please make huge cities with loads of suff in them, pretty please.
