XengYou: I apologize for the inconvenience and I'm really glad you see past it. Are there any particular moments when these ctd-s occur, or is it random. I don't think I've had anyone give me feedback about my mod crashing their game, so it might be a mod conflict.

it happens during fast travel, loading savegames, (rarely) when initiating combat or while in combat

XengYou: You can't continue the quests for the pirates until you introduce yourself to the Straight Arrow and do a few tasks for them (specifically, when you complete the quest The Underground for them).

Train your skills. Sneak, acrobatics, athletics, restoration. Those are all skills which can be easily trained while you wait the 90 seconds per quest update.

Also note that once you get the third update fast travel to Bravil, stay there for about 10 seconds and return to the SA. Someone should greet you after a short while.

XengYou: He will only appear after you speak with every member of the Straight Arrow. You will get an update when you've spoken to every member.

I forgot one NPC, so far no-bugs but I'v egot 1 thing I find a bit strange, why would the captain be one of the last persons to know that someone joined his crew?

XengYou: He knows you joined, he just doesn't want to meet you yet. It will all be explained through the story.

Pay close attention to the dialogues, as most of the story in the first half of the game is mentioned in the dialogue rather than the journal.

Also read books that aren't skill books, but are added through this mod. The Forgotten Power, the Ship log of the Wailing Butcher (which you will encounter later), the Underground (also later)... all of these add more details about the story.

Not even close to finished with this mod and I love it. Although, I found it odd I couldn't resolve a certain debt collection quest by simple murder. Although, that would be an easy way out.

Remember that while the pirate quest line is the main quest line you still have the Straight Arrow side quests.

I already met him but it seems strange, and so far I don't really like the level requirements but they help me train my char a lot (I'm always 1 lvl too low)

I'll be going on a short trip (which will last about 7 days) on the 11th of September. This means that I won't be able to offer any support for that week.

As for any updates, one will be arriving before I leave and it will contain one long quest for the Straight Arrow and four or five quests regarding the pirates (depending how quickly I work). This update will also include repeatable ship raid quests. All of this new content will become available, as always, when the player finishes what the current version already offers.

Suffice to say that when this update arrives, The Golden Crest will offer a minimal of 35 gameplay hours, but most likely more.

Jacobs missing, I did the prid/moveto thing and still not here but if I move to him I appear near the steering wheel but he isn't there (I did the potion bottles quest) but I can't find him anywhere

XengYou: Try not to use the console without checking first, as you can really screw up the quests that way. He is supposed to be missing. Working undercover in Anvil. That was the point of the Local Gossip quest.

Wait two or three days more and the captain should have a quest for you. Once you finish that quest Jacob will return.

Just a reminder, as I seem to be getting similar PMs over and over. Read your journal, it has all the information you need. Read the dialogues, as they provide back story, and some bonus details which you can do without, but will help you complete your quest. If everything else fails, there's a readme with a walkthrough. If even that fails, then tell me about the problem and I'll help you overcome it.

I've decided not to submit any updates until I return from my trip as I won't be able to manage any bugs that might appear. However, the update that will arrive somewhere near the end of September will include repeatable raid ship quests as well as 5 story quests for the Golden Crest and repeatable bounty quests for the Straight Arrow.

Let me just remind everyone that I will be going on a trip on Saturday (which will last for a week). This means that between the 11th and the 18th there will be no support, other than the one provided by regular users and players. I would ask you regular players, the ones who have already completed most if not all of the mod and have been around to see my replies to the most common issues to direct new gamers the week that I am gone as to how a problem might be solved.

I will also be releasing an update somewhere near the end of September. It will include repeatable ship raid quests, 5 or so story quests for the Golden Crest, as well as repeatable bounty hunter quests for the Straight Arrow. The ship raids are set up, the 5 story quests are half done, but I won't be releasing anything so untested, especially when I won't be around to oversee the bugs. If you want to get a better glimpse as to what the story quests might be related to, check out the book given to you when you became a swashbuckler.

I'd also welcome any suggestions and requests you might have as for spells. The upcoming update will provide you with various new abilities, both to the player character and to the Golden Crest cabin. While I mostly have figured out what I'm going to do with the cabin, I welcome suggestions on what kind of spell you want to see. There are no restrictions, really, but it should fit the theme.

If you have an issues or questions, now's the time to ask.

Well, I'm back and I'll continue working on the new update as of tomorrow. If progress goes as well as before my vacation the update should arrive near the end of September.

Progress is going slowly but steady. I can't say for certain, but I think the update will arrive before the middle of October, possibly somewhere around the 10th, though I don't want to get ahead of myself just yet.

Suggestions, critique, ideas and bug reports are always welcome.
