ooc- I couldn't find any r-players and I was thinking. The whole problem is force, so what if we change the very nature of these conventions and I change the scenario it's under? I was reading back through the last convention and the parts people loved the most seemed to be creating a new nation in the Mojave. In view of that I think a complete change in this thread is needed to keep things interesting. Further the whole shooting each other during the meeting thing was getting out of hand. With that in mind tell me what you think of this new set up.
Setting: Both the NCR and Legion have been driven from the Mojave but at a great cost. The Hoover Dam has been made inoperable and Mr. House's dreams of an updated robot army went crashing down with it. Mr. House is still in chrage of Vegas, but most of his robotic forces are still trying to keep control of the Strip which now sits empty of both NCR troopers and tourist from the NCR. The Kings are barely keeping order in Freeside as food shortages have lead to mass scale riots and killings. The Van Gruffs have used their massive arsenal to keep stocked up on food, mainly from raiding the few caravans that still travel to New Vegas. The Followers of the Apocalypse have been under constant threat and ran out of food days ago. Westside has done much better but has locked their gates to all outsiders. The Fiends are largely gone after the attack on McCarran and only a few pockets of their forces remain. All the while the Great Khans foolishly helped Caeser in the attack on the Hoover Dam and now only a few from their number remain as well.
The I-15 still has everything threat stopping trade, and the Powder Gangers from the Vault are still at large. The Boomers never did open to the world but have made it to this meeting today. The Enclave still exist and have made it to these meetings but they didn't help any side during the second Battle. Novac is still dealing with the ghouls from Rep Con and ever sense the Legion destroyed Helios One when they retreated during the second battle, scavenging their has been going well. No Legion are left in the region except for a trading post at Cottonwood. The Cottonwood delegation will be representing Legion interest. No NCR remains either except the Mojave Outpost and they will be representing the NCR. Neither the NCR or Legion has the ability nor will to return to the Mojave in any numbers greater than the forces you see in the game.
The mutants of Jacobstown were harassed by NCR mercenaries and a few were killed before the mercenaries returned home. Goodsprings is still free and Primm has been freed from the Powder Gangers. Further the BOS and Black Mounation are in the same state as before.
If you have any questions about the setting just ask.
Now for the ambassadors list. Since there are a small number of people on this thread for now, each person can and is welcome to take more than one ambassador role. In fact it's highly recommended so that we can have a full negotation and not just a few factions shooting at each other. Here's the list, try to take spots that controdict each others interest so we just don't have something like
"O well I'm House and House wants to team up with the BOS because I'm also the BOS"
These are peaceful negotations so no violence towards others by your ambassador or your ambassadors guest. The point of these negotations are to create a new nation in the Mojave.
