HK-47 CommonwealthEmissary-General Vargas - Khan Empire
"Vargas saw HK-47 sitting silently. HK-47, we thank the Commonwealth for sending those food shipments. Despite though, our deal has to be cut. It was only to a limited degree.
*puts on incredibly charming smile*
Of course General Vargas. We hope to do business with you again someday.
To everybody else: After hearing about all the recent troubles with labor and the distasteful idea of slaves, The Institute would like to offer labor bots for sale. Each one is pricey, to be sure, but by paying the price of 10 slaves (OOC: How expensive are slaves?) you gain a worker with 20 times the strengh, speed, and are cheaper to upkeep.
OOC: Forgot to do this:
Character: See opening post. HK-47 is a top-of-the-line android built specifically for diplomacy. As a result he is a master at barter and manipulation, an uncaring psychopath who outwardly appears charming, thoughtful and instantly likeable, aside from a slight uncanny valley effect. Inwardly, he could not give less of a [censored] about your needs, he's only programmed to find the best deal he can. Lately this has gotten worse after repairing himself with a securitron Fawkes brought him.
Faction: The Institute is the capitol of the old New England Commonwealth in name only: most 'citizens' don't know it exists. The Institute prefers it this way. Gives them more time for research and solving the problems of dirt-scratchers is beneath them. They only interact with the other settlements when in direct danger or by trade caravans passing through.
Population: Who knows.
Technology level: In the Institute- Fantastic. Wasteland- How are we supposed to know?
Leader: Council of Elected Peers. Short, sweet and to the point. Just how they like it.
During the War of Ideas: The Institute remained officially neutral, but that didn't stop them from trying to sell weapons to both sides. As a consequence both sides attacked Institute caravans. The war also put a stop to the exports of crucial minerals, and spare parts. They have been trying to resume them.
