Anyone know a cure for this?

When I activate the switch to launch "The Great Journey" quest rockets the dome doors don't open (cut scene doesn't happen). I hear the noise of rockets launching and the visuals shake but nothing actually happens...!

I gather this is not a common bug as I can't find it mentioned anywhere but I'm hoping someone has previously spotted this and knows how to correct the visuals.
