Dear bethesda and vault dwellers maybe you have already thought of this but lets be honest bethesda like any other company is determined to make money right? The greatest downfall and by downfall I mean lack of profits for bethesda is the fact that fallout shelter lacks a greater purpose and above all, long term playability. I have a solution and by solution I mean a way to easilly double if not triple your profits on fallout shelter!!
Now the idea is kinda basic but, it is what this game needs.
I propose and I take into account this may fall unto deaf ears, but maybe if the community can cause a stur over this we might get thier attention! Anyway, I propose, bethesda add a way to raid other players vaults!!!
Here is how I invisioned it. In the same way that you would send a dweller to the wasteland, on that very action, there would be an action to send a team of 3 to 5 dwellers to raid other players vaults for caps, the raid itself should be completely visible to the attacker as well as allowing the attacker to send his dwellers to enemy rooms in their vault essentially allowing real time control over the battle. This would also work well with a secondary weapon such as grenades that the player could instruct his dweller to throw at the right moment.
With this implemented, each and every weapon, gear and pet should be much much more difficult to obtain allowing for more seasoned players to have better odds in raids as they over a period of time would have gained much better gear. You could also add turrets to the vault entrance and possibly have a way to capture creatures that attack your vault and use them as defense against enemy players. Raids should be real time and if the defending player so happen to be on his game at the moment of raid, have freedom to move dwellers to strategic posistions real time.
The game also really needs more mutants like ghouls and mirelurks ect..
Anyway I had this idea the other day and felt it was worth sharing even if it never came to pass.
Happy hunting fellow vault dwellers.
EDIT:
Woops! I forgot to mention exactly how this would benefit Bethesda assuming it isn't already clear. This would greatly increase the value of lunchboxes, mr handys, pets and if there were turrets ect.. Pay to play players, would be spending like crazy to get ahead, and if you systematically and incrementaly add new gear that is better and of higher value through routine updates, you would have a game that stayed playable and consitant while progressively adding new content of Value for the consumers. Anyway that was the hook lol.
