The greatest moment in video gaming history.

I'd say the end of mass effect 2 was my most epic gaming moment... I hope it lives up to its epicness in the third installment.

The ending of Red Dead Redemption.

I found it to be kind of underwhelming.

I can think of many great moments in games, but in the history of video games I find it difficult to define one as the industry is always evolving.

I guess http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K783SDTBKmg was pretty amazing.

Are you talking about the first ending, or the real ending where the credits roll?

Ah.

Well that's the one I thought was awesome. :P

It's just the whole atmosphere, and the music that plays. There was a sense of satisfaction in it. For me at least.

Mine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS5peqApgUA

Why its great:
It gives me goosebumps and makes me shed a tear. You do not have to like fighting games, you don't have to like video games. This will still grip you. I don't have words for it.

That was...AWESOME

And I like fighting games to an ok level (I ocasionally buy one) but that was epic.

Anyway, personally, I'd say...Skyrim being announced, which will be beaten when I actually play it

I can't really say one single moment is the greatest, but the ending of Halo 3 and the endings of the MQs in Morrowind and Oblivion are definitely up there.

1: Duke Nukem Forever comes out 6-14-11.

2: This is from a personal experiance...
in the PS1 game Lunar: SIlver Star Story, I was at the final battle with Ghaleon. All my comrades where killed and the main character was low on health and had no magic or silver lights to restore my mp. I was only alble to attack Ghaleon with normal attack but he's strong aginst physical attacks. Anyway I managed to beat him....a proud moment I should say. Now on the psp version I'm at a very good leveling up area I'm going to explot and when I meet up with Ghaleon again---I'm going to kick his butt---hard.

Either making a legit Double Cannon in PSO Ep: 1&2 or earning the Insane in the Membrane title in WoW before they nerfed it.

The second time I've ever cried over a video game. And the biggest, this is mine as well.

One summer in 5th grade, I had a broken leg. I could still get up and down the 73 steps to the lake to go fishing, still have fun outside, but my folks got me an Atari 2600.

Wait! That's onlt the second best thing!

So I was playing Space Invaders,. must've been over Easter Break, and I had the pattern down. Blast out the bottom 2 layers then eat them up on the right side. I'd been going for 2 hours and setting a record high :trophy: But wait...topping all of this, my mom, without me saying a word, swings by and drops off a PBJ sandwhich with a glass of milk  :hugs:

When I was 8 I beat Street Fighter II Turbo on the 8star difficulty. That was pretty awesome.

OMG someone must put the Daigo video to that music! SO SERIOUS, IT MUST HAPPEN. I lack the technology will someone help make my dream come true?
SPlice fight footage so its in sync with that music and looks epic and funny.

I would so love that.

That whole game is pretty epic TBH.

But this chapter in particular. Convoy is a close second, but this is seriously my favorite action game.

Greatest moments for me in my gaming history (no particular oder)

when in COD MW2 three guys rushed me and I took them all down with my knife... has never happened again... why they all rushed me and didn't just shoot me still gets me wondering.

when I saw the trailer (not announcement) for skyrim. I teared up a little... heh...

when I bought oblivion GOTY edition. I came back from reno and stayed in my room for the whole day. I loved it...

The ending of Bioshock. Brought a tear to my eye, in a good way.

The scene in Mass Effect where, if you chose the Shepard background of colonist, you get to talk down a suicidal ex-slave from your former colony. Great writing and voice-acting.

The opening of "Oblivion" still gets me a little with the first sight of the IC and ships on the water while the main theme plays.
