I recently reached another attachment unlock for the Grendel, finally. And I had quite a difficult time deciding whether to get the suppressor and improve my stealth or to get the extended magazine and have more ammunition.

I actually wanted both of these attachments until I realized that I would loose single shot ability if I installed extended magazine. I couldn't afford to lose single shot, as I find the burst fire to be very unforgiving, so I went with the suppressor knowing that at least I would no longer show up on radars when I fire.

However, I was shocked and bewildered when I found out that the suppressor only "suppresses" the weapon when it is in burst mode, and as soon as it is switched to single shot, it would become as if the suppressor was suddenly detached, and fire exactly as it did without the suppressor, muzzle flash and pop pop pop.

So what exactly is going on here? Has this bug been around since release? This is very disappointing for me as the Grendel is not the easiest weapon to use and much less to unlock attachments for.

By the way, does anyone know if rapid fire affects single shots even by a slight margin? Right now I have rapid fire with my single shot Grendel and it fires almost just as fast as I click, but I only equipped rapid fire to make my Majestic revolver more effective, and if it won't make any difference for the single shot, I would probably use something else.

Okay, first: this bug existed since the release of the game.

2) Rapid Fire does affect with Lv1 only primary weapons. Level RF up (afaik Lv2) and it affects also secondary weapons. Maybe you don't have RF on Lv2 and thus it doesn't affect the majestic...

In regards to the single-shot firearms, [Rapid Fire II] /does/ increase the speed of weapon fire. I especially notice that the Hammer fires as quickly as the Nova when I have it equipped. I don't use the majestic often to remember how fast that fires, but I'm very sure it'll work.

Single-shot on automatic weapons don't really count since their rounds per minute is usually way too high for a human to click faster that way.

Rapid fire doesn't affect Grendel normally, but it makes the semi-auto mode really fast if you can click fast enough
