The Grey Blood Company OOC Thread #3

I think it'd be interesting if I could have Errialor escape, and leave the city before they can catch him. He'd be an easy scapegoat for what happened and the rest of the group would have no way of knowing if he was betraying them or not. It'll also give me a chance to explore what he will do when nobody is forcing him to do something. It'd also be nice for him to recover his gear.

That would be interesting. And we can sick a hound on his tail. I'm sure a huntress would love fetching a Altmer.

All jokes aside, I like Crimson's idea. Have Errialor escape. I pmed Darkom with some ideas on Vaultren, and it would seem Errialor's escape could potentially cause some of these plans to take place, eventually making him have a shaky relationship with Faendal and the rest. Good character development on both sides.

Hey, sorry if anybody in the Yellow group is waiting on me; I just got back from a debate thing (I'm going to Nationals!), and I'm wiped out, but I ought to post soon, either tonight or tomorrow.

I'm not waiting for you mate, no rush. I'll try and post today, so that the Yellow team can be together once more.

Alright, well, it's looking more and more like this will require another GM intervention. Wrap up what you are doing everyone, because we are time skipping to the palace shortly. Werewolf, we'll figure out what we want the story to be for Vaultren and the red group. The yellow group can write their own conclusion to their situation, but either way we'll be meeting in the throne room before the weekend. I would post us there immediately, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up (and I have many things to do tonight). So, I apologize to everyone for having to do this, but it's about that time again. ;)

Anyone looking to join in, this would be the best time to figure out what you want to do, because you'll be able to simply join us in the throne room. Whether you want to come in with us or join us during the scene is up to you, but now is your chance. Thanks for joining in our little adventure. :)

Curses! I apologize, because I did what I tried very hard to avoid: I said that I would post, and then didn't. Well, I have corrected that now; not a lengthy addition, but I have moved my character very close to the end of his story arc for this stage of the RP, and I am at a point where my character's joining with the group going to see the Emperor could be plausibly explained. I envision a very short conversation with Lycus, only to have a messenger enter right then, issuing the summons without much discretion (does anybody know where we are?), and Rashaava tagging along out of curiosity. In any case, Darkom, don't postpone the GM post for me, but if anybody in the Yellow group would like to get in a few more posts, I can match that.

I will wrap up the whole Benalin thing. Have a brief exchange between the Imperial and the Bosmer. Then we can all go to the Emperor and finally get this show on the road. I will try to make a quick post, then. Have Illana eject the conversation with Rashaava, meet Lycus, then leave to collect the coin.

Alright, got my first post up. Really nothing more than a catching up post, and I should be joined up with part of the yellow group in my next post.

Btw, I love writing, I'm just really bad at it. :P Sometimes it takes me a little while to take ideas from my head and put them in words, but I'm going to try my best to keep up with you guys. This is my first RP is like 6 years, so I'll definitely have to get into the writing groove before I get super detailed like some of you guy's long posts.

Don't worry, your good. With even more practice, you will definetly be a great writer. Not many people write long posts anyways, it's just an addiction of mine. I love writing too, so, I'm sure you understand. Though in my opinion, we require a lot more interaction.

Speaking of which, I made my post. You can follow to it anyway you like, perhaps even witness the events of the tavern through the hole in a doorknob or something.

I always think my posts are long, then I post them on here and they are completely underwhelming.

I think I should be able to keep up with the pace this RP is going right now, for sure, one post a day. :P Glad you guys would have me though.

Hey guys, sorry I've been on such a long hiatus. I won't be able to post until Friday, probably later. Its just that I've been trying to deal with home situations, school, and friends for the past week. Me just turning 18 I'm having problems with my mom as far as leniency and understanding, and although I'm mostly a B student I am two days away from possibly not being able to graduate due to one math class. Its just been a lot going on. My math teacher's grades go in on Friday, and im literally one point from passing so I guess until then wish me luck.

But in addressing the past month, I'm sorry I haven't shown you guys any love.

EDIT: Although it isn't necessary and I'm not really deserving of such obligation, but would anyone be willing to catch me up on things since the interrogation? I have a lot of reading to do...

No problem Ant, I hope all goes well with the mother. I've been there before, just pull through it without much complaint. Try to be understanding and just explain everything in a nice way. Good luck on the math class! One point is easy enough to get, I wish I were you when I was back in High School.

Sivartus, good to have you. One post a day? Geez, your going quicker than all of these...slow people. Good luck on that too. Don't worry about the length of the posts. I know for sure my posts themselves will shorten after the Imperial City invasion.

Edit: She didn't need to knock, the door isn't locked. She could of just walked right in and spot Illana on the act. Just saying.

That's rude man.

Edit.

Although, I was planning on bursting in after he didn't answer, so maybe I should of just wrote that into the post, sorry. I also thought you might want to snatch me inside for making so much noise. I wanted to give you a decision though.

Damn, I already posted. Maybe I can do the snatching once Alyraa sees the blood puddle or something. I mean, whatever suits your character. It's a free form RP of sorts, do whatever you think it's nescessary. In situations like these, of course.

Well, dialogue is definitely interesting. It's hard to right, without the other person's words in between what you're saying. I suppose you just get it all out there, and let them insert where they need to? I'll have to go back and check some of yall's posts. Other than that, I just have to work on my "details, details, details" writing.

Anyways, post is up Werewolf. I'm obviously not expecting to get my horse back, considering Illana is about to become very busy with the Emperor, and with the the Thalmore about to invade the city, so I know we won't be going off on that adventure. Just letting you know I wasn't that dumb, :P, so post however you want to what I said.

I am counting on Darkom or someone else to interfere indirectly. I was planning to have Illana return to the Barracks for supplies and some rest, when the group is ready to meet the Emperor. I know, we can't embark on the quest to save the horse, but perhaps in the distance future when we all reach Skyrim?

Don't worry about the writing. You are doing pretty good, to be honest. Typically we just respond to another's post and write out the character reaction to each sentance.

Hey Luminite, Kai survived.

Lycus Desselius, The Imperial City, Arena & Bloodworks -
11th of Second Seed. 4E 174

He saw the Blademaster hand a bag to Kai as well for his survival in the arena. The Imperial warrior gazed up to his trainer and smiled sympathetically. "My heart has been far too parted from my chest. I enjoy my victory, though I fear it will be the last of the nature."

I think Werewolf typo'd the sentence where he said nobody survived.

I think Werewolf typo'd the sentence where he said nobody survived.

Thank you for looking out for me, my friend, but I am fully aware of this. My character, however, is not. In the fight, Kai was incapacitated with a very serious leg wound, and was still on the ground when the match ended. Rashaava left before seeing him get up, and so assumed that he had died. I expect that Werewolf will inform Rashaava of this in the next post, at which point my character will be surprised and curious, and will try to find this Kai person. At that point, he may offer aid in healing the wound, or that may not be necessary, but either way will ensure character interaction.

However, I hate unintentional factual errors in posts, so thank you for double-checking me, and welcome to the RP!

It's fine. Don't sweat it. And Lycus pretty much was talking about himself, instead of "I am the only survivor" thing.
