The Groke(M?rk?,M?rran) from moomins would be awesome to have in Skyrim. She would appear at night and you know shes near if the place starts to get foggy.I think it would fit.

This would be so horribly fun.

I think a bit of a redesign, even just removing the bill and making the face look less like a Wallace and Gromit character, could make is much more frightening. But then I guess it wouldn't be the same thing you grew up with.

That would be horribly scary! D:

I can remember that one scene from the cartoon series, where Sniff is going out from the Moominhouse and there's Groke next to him in the dark and you can only see she's teeth and eyes.
I almost [censored] my pants when I was little and saw that episode. :o

I'm sure that if I had grown up hearing the legend of the Groke that I'd agree with you.

Sadly I don't even have a basis to judge this by, here in Canada we don't often tell Legends and what not ( Well, besides from Santa and the Tooth Fairy, but they don't count  ). I've heard tales from other countries but I never grew up with any, much less a tale based in my country.

I would like to see terrifying and unique monsters though, something to give Skyrim a little more zing.

Wendigos...

How'd I forget about the Wendigos? Okay, okay, it's coming back to me now.....

Edit: It would've been better if you hadn't mentioned anything :verymad:, I've got shivers running down my spine now, I'd thoroughly repressed that memory.......

Ughhh........ I remember one time that I'd just watched something about them ( When I was about 11) and I was at a friends house. His parents were gone and we heard something outside, we grabbed all the weapons we could and put on helmets. We almost had a heart attack when his parents opened the door,LOL! Turned out it was his cat <_<

Yeah not too much of that stuff here in the midwest. But idc what it is if it is in the right atmosphere it can terrify. Was playing FEAR at around midnight once and then there was a huge scratch on the door. I got one of my swords just in case and went to open it. It was my dog lol. Forgot she was outside.

If the groke dressed up like a Jynx instead, perhaps I would be scared a little bit. Otherwise I just want to hug her and share some candies.

If anything of a "creepy" nature would be haunting the lands of Skyrim, I imagine it would be http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Opusculus_Lamae_Bal_ta_Mezzamortie

She is scary indeed :/ I watched this show when I was a kid, and everytime she appeared I got shivers down my spine. A creature that looks like the groke would be awesome!!

True. And this possibility to meet her in Skyrim would be to good to pass up.

I'm actually quite saddened that most of the responses thus far remember the Groke as a cartoon character. Didn't anyone ever read the books!? She was far scarier in those.

Yeah we'll need to give her a flawless pearl. <-- only moomin knowledgers understand that.

Well maybe the uderfrykte maitron or what ever it was called could have a similar effect, or a legendary creature like this could be in the game! Damn I can already imagine the scary errrrr sounds of her high up in the mountains in the dark of the night. Where is she?! behind me or up infront? Do I go back or continue to not get killed? Gaaaaah.
