No, Mosin Nagant or Kar 98k.

With a scope option.

Scoped Mosin-Nagant with a "Tranquilizer Rounds" option for a no-kill game! :gun:

NOTE: I edited the OP to include more variations for uniques/non-uniques missing from the vanilla game.

I purposely left out possibilities for new, non-existing weapon types since they are difficult to predict, but as always you are free to add your own ideas and suggestions... :celebration:

Yep... just have those russian and german guns imported to the US then survive 200 years well past nuclear armageddon, at least a springfield is American.

I agree, and this is the main problem with guns like MG42 or a PPSH-41.

I think of the Fallout world is like us in the 50's, except they never got out of that stage (Cold War Tense-y). So I highly doubt you would find a good amount of Soviet weapons spread across the states, and survive the nuclear war + ~200 years. It's such a low chance that it would just be ridiculous if it showed up in-game. I guess I could understand a museum (but uh, "Weapons Museum" doesn't attract Raiders or anything... :whistling:) that had the weapon, but that's still a bit of a stretch.

The only way I see it is like the Lincoln's repeater, something similar to that. Maybe it was in the back room of a museum where no one looked for anything.

The MG-42 is very plausible!
The MG-42s Were sent back to the US for study and influenced many weapon designs,Incuding the iconic M-60.

More of the FG-42 than the MG-42. It would be better to have the M60 over the MG-42 as it was an American weapon. If foreign weapons show up in Fallout they usually are something like Fallout 2 weapons or chinese weapons.

In our world.
Maybe not in the Fallout world.

But alright, let's say it was sent back and there was a couple hanging around. What's protecting them from being broken or stolen from 1945-2281 (with a Nuclear war at 2077) Seriously, highly un-plausible.

I still want a Remington Model 1858 New Army. That's a classic gun.

I had a Mosin and 2 Mausers a loooooooong time before I found a Springfield. You know how hard it is to find a good 1903 someone's willing to part with for less than the national debt?

Also, I have weapons that are over 100 years old that I shoot regularly. As long as the weapon is protected against the elements and is not abused, they will easily survive 200 years.

Sure. And you can have that with a side order of realistic reload times and accuracy. I can't wait to see you rammin' cap and ball down that thing while a mutant's running towards you, finally get it loaded and empty the thing at them to see all the shot fly away like frisbees.

1.What "other weapons"? All of the weapons are either are American or are fictional Gun-Runner made (with designs from foreign guns added)

2.Okay, okay. Are you saying an actual MG42 from Germany, or are you saying a Fictional, Fallout world equivalent to a MG42 made by the Gun Runners, because that would make a giant difference in availability.

Nope. It'll be a Winchester high wall. We're talking Josh Moses Browning Sawyer here, right?

That and I'm bettin' money now that a unique brush gun called "Big Iron" is in. http://www.formspring.me/JESawyer/q/233722825951689174 :hubbahubba:

I hope he put in a unique Trail Carbine called "The Duke"

I can live with a High Wall. It should work with the Cowboy Perk though...I wasn't pleased to find the Police Pistol got none of the perks it was entitled to.

Then that's probably one of the only exceptions of a foreign gun being in Fallout. It won't actually be the weapon, but it'll be recognizable, which is good enough for most. Including me :D

That's a geck thing, I think. The Cowboy perk works off of a form list in the main game .esm. In order for a weapon to get the benifits of that perk, I think it has to be referenced on that form list. I don't know how dlc weapons could be added to it. Of course, I also could not know a damn thing about which I'm speaking. Me not so geck smart.

They came with swappable cylinders. Pop the empty cylinder out, pop a loaded cylinder in. And you're good to go.

And hope the percussion caps didn't fall off while swapping the cylinders or that the powder got wet. As we used to say up in Boston, I'm just bustin' your balls.

I'd like to point out that Fallout isn't like reality. I don't know how people treated and felt for guns in the 1950's, but I feel that it would be something similar, and I don' think they were big on owning guns from a decade ago.

That would be the big problem with all old guns. That is why the Gun Runner's makes their own.

I also don't know the availability of schematics for any old gun for the gun runners to be using.
