Argh! I'm having difficulty determining which mods will replace ALL existing NPCs and which are only for the player character. I must be doing somethign wrong, because I keep trying different mods and it's not working as I expect. Can anyone break it down for me? Also, I want to use a replacer that replaces all NPCs, plus one that gives more options for the player, plus (perhaps) one that replaces unique NPCs, etc. What is the order of install/load to make it work properly?

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Personally I use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14435. I find it has more than enough faces and hairs for me.

I never thought I'd see the day where a face replacer could look worse than the original vanilla models.

But this thread has shown me the light. I now resolve to always use Better Heads exclusively, for the rest of my life.

Thank you, AfroKing.

That one only adds faces to play as and replaces the vanilla faces. THE Morrowind NPC MakeOver is for that mod, and replaces the npcs with unique looks so nobody looks the same. It also can be used with Vvardenfell Visages.

Thank you so much! This is perfect, because I've been looking for a face mod that didn't completely change all the faces, and it looks like that last one doesn't. Some are a little different, but it seems to be pretty faithful to the originals, just with higher poly counts and better textures.

Mhmm. The thread has been viewed 2 394 times, and I've seen it resurface once or twice in the last weeks? So it's official now: what has been promised will be delivered!! (Just don't hold your breath. I'm lazy.) /shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Er, about this:

Obviously it has been delayed. /heee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hehe:' />
What happened: while taking screenshots of this replacer I realized that most of the NPCs I used for comparison so far were left untouched by World of Faces. It wouldn't have made much sense to post screenies of the 11 changed NPCs (out of 36) alongside the general replacers. So I decided to treat World of Faces as a local replacer. (That just means that the comparison pics for each one of these mods will feature a specific selection of NPCs?

As of now, most pics from World of Faces, Unique Heads Balmora, Emma's Dagon Fel Headreplacer and Emma's Tel Mora Headreplacer have been taken. I still have some resizing and organizing to do; I'll post them as one goes along. I have no ETA for you, but hopefully the next update won't take too long?br />
(By the way, in the process I discovered something that may be of interest should some among you happen to use Riptide's replacer alongside Unique Heads Balmora and Emma's Dagon Fel Headreplacer: both latter mods are mostly included in Riptide's mod (36 out of 45 heads from Carnajo's mod and 16 out of 21 fom Emma's). I will update the original post with this info when I upload the screenies of the corresponding mods.)

Also, the most observant among you may have noticed that I just updated http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/3188/trombinoscope19thenpcma.jpg from the original post. The pic of Vodunius Nuccius was inaccurate. It's fixed now.

Thank you guys for the nice feedback. /falloutop5.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':tops:' />

Tinypic, Photobucket, Imageshack, PlanetElderScrolls, TESA, to name a few. I don't have a facebook account, so I can't see the page you linked to.

Ah.... this is a great thread.

I dl'ed a couple of head replacers in the early days and was disappointed in them. It seemed that they went through and made everyone as blandly human as possible-- so that the mer didn't look like mer any more, but like Star Trek aliens-- you know, just humans with face paint, funky eyebrows and pointy ears. I hadn't even bothered trying any for a long time now, just sticking with the vanilla faces, which at least have the advantage of making humans look like humans and mer look like mer.

It's great to be able to compare all the current mods at once, and I can only imagine the time and effort it took to take all the screenies and resize and crop and post them. Thanks.

Wonderful idea for a thread, AfroKing! /fing34.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':goodjob:' /> I've been using LeeLoo's Changing Faces for quite awhile and have been wanting to try some different head packs for variety. This thread has given me quite a few ideas. /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Awesome work, AfroKing! I just noticed this gem of a thread! Excellent and informative screenshot collages.

This is exactly what I have been wanting on the head replacers.

May I link this thread (or page, if and when you choose to make it permanent somewhere) in my main guide? /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Btw, that's a great work you're doing on your guide. It was (and still is) very helpful to me.
