Stov'kien- Legion
Stov'kien woke up to an annoyingly shrill beeping noise coming from his alarm clock. He quickly sat up and bumped his head on the low ceiling of his "home". It was not his true home, it was his Two-Sun home, far away from the comforting humidity that his home in Aztia brought. But this home, this human home, was most certainly not his, he was always bumping his head or breaking something small, why were humans so small? Stov'kien reached over and hit the off button on the Pre-war alarm clock that Orion, no not Orion, Caesar, had given to him. Having been on the night watch in his tribe for so many years Stov had slowley turned nocturnal, not a rare thing for Aztians.
Stov carefully stood from his bed and quickly dressed in his hardened leather "kirostss" or pants. He also slid on a pair of large combat boots, not wanting to burn his feet on the hot roads of the place of Two Suns. Stov then opened a small closet in his blank, white room and retrieved his miquitle and it's sheath. The Aztian slid the stap over his shoulder so the handle faced diagnoly left towards the sky. He then grabbed his already packed messenger bag and his Apollo rifle. To a human the rifle was quite heavy but Stov'kien had no problem with it and put the strap over his right shoulder. He was ready.
Stov walked out of his bedroom door and jumped down the stairs, an activity that helped wake him up in the morning. He then exited his front door of his blank "home", good riddance. Stov'kien lived in the Palace district just down the road from the high ones palace so his walk was short. Stov cheerfully greeted all of the soldiers he passed, receiving glares in return. He never understood why the soldiers where so serious, Caesar did not seem to mind his personality and ge was not serious. Stov'kien strod up the stairs of the Palace, taking three at a time easily. Upon reaching the doors Stov stopped and turned, goodby for a while land of Two Suns, I'm heading home, he thought.
The 7'4, super light, Sub-human the pushed opened the doors and examined the peep who were already there. All of them were short and most of them were arrayed in shiny suits. Oh my, he thought honestly, this people are who I'm going with, I'm dead. He then walked up to the nearest person, the Texas representative, and touched his armor. He slightly tilted his head and spike in a very musicle and flowing voice.
"Who are you? Your very shiny..."
Stov continued to stare at his armor for a little while before remembering the politic lessons Caesar was giving him. Always introduce yourself and your nation.
"I... I am Stov'kien, warrior of the Legion clan and leader of this trip..."
Colonel Mael RadecRadec saw a tall man enter. He was quite tall, and was most likely from the SA.
"Wow, your tall. Colonel Mael Radec. United States Military. United States 9th Army, 2nd Special Forces Operations Division - Shadow, 1st Brigade".
Joshua Smith
Joshua didn't like speaking of his mother. In fact the only reason he did was because the whiskey kicked in. He calmed down, looked at Victor and said, "She was a good woman, according to my father. I never knew her but I wish I could." He felt like he needed to cry but his tear ducts were gone because of the "incident". He walked back to his seat and reached in his pocket. He had a necklace that had two pictures. One of his mother and father. Another of his father and him. he closed it and put it away. He kicked his table and shouted, "You feel happy Statesman(OOC: this is meant for Radec) you bring up a man's dead mother he never knew! Good way to try and win an arguement! BY THE WAY I'm very sure my mother was a better woman than yours." He growled at Radec as he walked by him. Strange he did it again why was he behaving like this?
Colonel Mael Radec"Interesting, Whiskey just entered your body, and is now affecting your mental functions and eventually your physical functions. I find it a shame of us, trying to say which one of our mothers is better. Just quiet...........New Englander".
Captain Mae West –
The sun was high up in the sky as the car drove towards Caesar’s palace. From the distance, it was beautiful. She had seen the Legion slave camps; she would have never thought they would put this much charm in, in anything for that matter.
Her head reeled from the briefing General Oliver gave her. All she remembered at this moment was that it might be just the most dangerous tour she would ever face. And if she didn’t make it, to know she would have done immense good for the NCR. Thanks, Oliver.
She reinforced her red first recon beret before it could be blown away by the wind from the open window, and again admired the palace. Maybe this Caesar isn’t half bad with a home base like this. Sure got great taste. Women must swoon over this. She shook her head to stop any further thought about the topic.
Her heart thudded with a mixture of excitement and fear. There was a reason why the Major opted out of this assignment. But there was also a reason why she was chosen.
The palace loomed over, casting a shadow on the car. Giant columns seemed to tower over them, even though they were still in the city limits.
“Damn, it’s way better than what I’ve heard.” The driver next to her marveled, his eyes neglecting the road. “You know this is a one way ticket right?”
She laughed as they skidded to halt. There were people outside eyeing them angrily. “Thanks for the encouragement. I hope you know I was hanging on for dear life the whole way. It escapes me why they didn’t give you the promotion!”
He smiled and shook his head as she stepped out of the car, “You’re forgetting something.” He handed her most prized possession: Her sniper rifle.
“Ahh.” She gave silly salute and threw it on.
It wasn’t hard to find the palace. The driver basically drove into it as if to say “Look! Your friends the NCR are here!” She could still feel the angry gazes of the guards. She walked past the centurions cautiously. She knew they were just staring down at her and the two headed bear on her armor. She heard one of them mutter, “Profligate.”
She wandered around aimlessly, looking for at least a sign. The ornamental statues all looked the same regaurdless of where she turned. Mae had a feeling the driver had dropped her off on the wrong side.
She finally saw the front and the glorious staircase, where Caesar himself was actually present. She stared wide eyed at him as she slowly walked toward what looked like the expedition group. She could see why people would be frightened of him. His presence set out an aura of power.
She suspected she was early, since there were only a few others. She heard them bickering about something but didn’t bother to join in just yet. She stood next to the man in incredible looking power armor. She wasn’t sure she should make conversation with him just yet either. She continued her gaze on Caesar, wide-eyed.
Colonel Mael RadecRadec saw a NCR women arrive. She was somewhat pretty, but was just a compliment in his head. He had a family, and could not get distracted.
"Hi there. Colonel Mael Radec. United States Military. United States 9th Army, 2nd Special Forces Operations Division - Shadow, 1st Brigade. Whats yours"?
Leo Chambers - The Palace - Afternoon
Leo looked at the man with a quizzical look. " Military standards? "
Colonel Mael Radec"Ya, Military standards. Though, half the time, I dont follow it, and usually my close friend Stratson would always tell me to follow it".
"Your really quiet are you"?
