The High KingQueen of Skyrim *With A Twist*

Post » Thu Mar 13, 2014 1:46 pm

M'aiq thinks it is time to release this infamous topic...

Who do you think should be the High King/Queen of Skyrim?

  1. M'aiq sees the only person who is worthy to become the High King/Queen of Skyrim on the Empire side is Igmund. Igmund is loyal, a excellent listener, a fine warrior, and trustworthy.
  2. M'aiq sees the only person who is worthy to become the High King/Queen of Skyrim on the Stormcloak side is Laila Law-Giver. Laila is loyal, easy to persuade (a flaw that she has, but would be a perfect High Queen), honest, and trustworthy.
  3. Nazeem of course! :hubbahubba:

1- Maven, she's such a nice lady and she'll make a great high queen :P

2- Silver blood cause he's nice too :P

3- Nazeem already thinks he's high king so Heimskr FTW.

No opinion on the Stormcloak side, since I don't know most of his jarls. And while I find his actions in victory moderately admirable (refusing the title of High King until the Moot grants it, allowing Elisif to retain her office), I don't support Ulfric. Though I admit I respect him enough that I no longer call him Oafric Bumcloak.

For the Empire, I like Balgruuf. Elisif's too inexperienced, and I don't think the HK/Q should be that dependant on the Empire. Balgruuf's his own man, but he's a competent and concerned ruler. And I think that in the long run, the Empire will be well-served by him as well: having a strong and prosperous northern neighbor can only be good for Cyrodiil.

As for Nazeem vs. Heimskr, my choice is... Braith! Because she's more obnoxious than either of them.

M'aiq forgot to add Elisif to the Stormcloak side as well. :o

The Dovahkiin is the rightful ruler and a fully realized Dragonborn has the power to take his crown and subjugate the land. We basically become lord of dragons after dethroning Alduin, if we rally the remaining dragons to our aid and use the full might of our thu'um then the Thalmor would be like ants to us and the Legion/Stormcloaks would be like bickering children that need a good spanking. :P

ha not quite as he would consider dethroning Alduin to be blasphemy :P

I voted Brunwulf and Vignar btw...the 2 most worthy on the list. Heimskr preaches the word of truth.

It was a bit harder between the Empire, but I would choose Balgruuf. Though I like Brunwulf and Brinna too.

For the SC's, Ulfric. Without him, the whole movement falls apart. And the other Jarl's (save Dengeir and maybe Vignar) just awful. Can you imagine Skald as High King?

Oh, and Heimskr. The one who will take the place of mighty Talos.

Haha, too true, How could I forget that :P (Been gone way too long).

And I'm shocked that we don't get a M'aiq option for the high king carpet. Is that the twist?

This was my same vote as well. At least you know they'll be assassinated shortly afterwards. And I'll be first in line to kill them.

Empire side - Brunwulf Free-Winter. Balgruff's the only second runner... yet he's someone who talks tough, but is ultimately spineless. He accepted the Dominion's demands not once but twice. He could have sided with a free Skyrim under Ulfric,

Stormcloak Side - Ulfric Stormcloak. He's the one who saw the problem, identified it, and took action to rectify it. He's the one who actually put the effort and risk into organizing, building, and maintaining a successful rebellion that can stand against the Empire. If the High Throne is a responsibility, he has proven himself capable of handling it. If the high throne is a reward, he is the one who has put in the effort and labor to earn it.

Of course, both options are inferior to Nazeem. It will take years, but he'll earn his way to the top. He'll be in charge of Skyrim, a very successful province, obviously. Do you go to High Hrothgar very often? Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't.

He advises all of the Jarls of Skyrim, and his input is very invaluable.

Of course, as HIgh King, it's all probably a bit over your head. If you were getting Nords from his province, they'd be twice as strong.

Empire: Brina. She seems like a level-headed and responsible leader who cares for her people.

Stormcloak: Ulfric. Obviously. ;)

And for the last option, Nazeem. Heimskr is a religious fanatic, they tend to be dangerous with too much power, so Nazeem is the lesser of two evils here.

Nazeem may be an [censored],but he'd be better than that Heimskr who'd melt all the nations gold into a talos statue

Laila Law-Giver. Because....because......because.....she's lovely Sir. Garcon de pissoir? With wooden bucket and silk hankerchief? Siddgeir. With a flipping bowl cut.

Can't vote without the option to pick none.

I'd vote

None
Ulfric
Heimskr

Edit: I voted for Siddgeir because there is no none option.

Balgruuf - he is simply da man!

Vignar - True nord, nuff said.

Heimskr - Simply the other nearly always dies in some strange way. I wonder why...
