I want to try it, see if it works. Plus, I think it would be considered more of an Ultimate VATS build. Also, then the machinegun lovers would stop arguing that theirs is better.

Mysterious stranger showed up 5 times and all times he bugged, dealing 0 damage.. So I started the game from beginning. Great stranger there.

Ewww, I have never had that happen. He always kills the hell out of his target.

Not playing this game as much now. I am waiting for the goty edition to play all the dlc.


I did play this build for a while not long ago, and it was still fun. Might be even better with future perks.


It is fun cleaning out a whole area with MS/MF, because, if YOU never actually land a hit, no one blames you. (snipe with 1% chance to hit)

As I said, I made a new char (many by now lol) and have never picked MS or MF and I never will. (this was in january mate) :wink_smile:

The most practical high-DPS build would involve a Gatling Laser and/or CZ57.

You're missing the point completely. You're arguing this is the highest DPS simply becausse the Mysterious Stranger does over 9000 damage per shot, and there's no way in hell anything else can out-damage that. TECHNICALLY it's the highest DPS.
The reality of the situation though is that you don't need over 9000 damage to kill an enemy. You need like, 150. So all you're doing is wasting a ton of time just to get a complete overkill of a partner to show up when you probably could've shot them yourself with a Brush Gun or Assault Carbine. And let's not forget that in reality, constantly going into and out of VATS takes ages itself.

TECHNICALLY it's the highest DPS, but that's solely because of how outrageous the Mysterious Stranger's damage is. Even though this has the highest DPS, I'm sure you'll find that this gets the job done a lot slower than just fighting normally. Stop calculating with the 18,000 potential damage the MS does and calculate out the DPS with the 150 or 250 -actual- damage that he does and I'm sure you'll find the DPS is horrible.

Doesn't seem like a whole lot of fun especially considering you could just shoot somebody in the face with the All American and get the same effect. A dead enemy.

I just add his .44 to my inventory. Now that's the highest DPS build in the game.

Edit: I was actually wrong. The Debug Megapistol in my inventory is actually the highest DPS build in the game.

Yeah I already said the whole highest dps thing was a joke, even though it is kinda true. Although I do not blame you in the slightest for not reading through to find it.


The point was that you could roll this build with another build, because it is not costly to do so.

I have a melee, turbo spamming, chem build and I gave him the extra perks and stuff to run this build as well, if he wants.
