The Hold Out-RP

What the hell was she trying to prove? She looked already as though she had been through hell and back, and she still wanted more? Greg walked over to his locker in the other room and pulled out his Power Armor. He loved the way it looked, so formidable and unforgiving. He placed the suit on the ground and pulled out his Plasma Rifle. It was the only weapon he could use, as the terrible incident a year ago screwed up the nerves in his hand.

After getting the Power Armor on and loading his Rifle, he walked back in where Henry and Demetri where refusing to hurt Sara anymore. He walked over to medical supplies and grabbed a couple of Stimpacks, then walking to the back of the room to grab a drug that he had experimented with. He didn't know if he would have to use it, but he was going to be safe with this.

Greg heard them bickering with Sara again, telling her to stop ordering them to hit her. " Damn, if you guys won't follow orders, than I'll do it for you." He walked over to Sara and put his Rifle in his hands. He slammed the butt of the gun into Sara's shoulder, knocking her back. " There, happy now?" He walked over to a counter and grabbed a pack of cigarettes.

"I'll be waiting outside." He walked out and lit a cigarettes, placing it in his mouth and putting the rest of the pack into his pocket. Couldn't get a [censored] mission without someone whining about something.

Sara was surprised by Greg's action. She wasn't expecting him to hit her, least of all in the shoulder. The butt of the rifle hit her and Sara felt the pain wash over her. Letting out a noise , which resembled a shriek, she crumpled to the ground like a rag doll as the agony exploded in her. Sara tried to push herself up to her knees. Tears were rolling down her face and every part of her body screamed with pain. As she managed her way to her knees, she vomited from the pain. Her eye had now completely swollen shut and her head was spinning. Looking up at Henry and Demetri she gave a small smile, amidst the tears and vomit. Blood had soked through her white tee shirt, and at this moment she really appeared quite ghastly.

"Not? dirty? enough?"Sara was speaking to Demetri and Henry and looked as though she was going to pass out. Sara noticed that she was starting to regain a little of the feeling in her arm now. At least she wouldn't have to lose it. And that was a good thing for Henry.

"Need? coat? why?" Sara was confused. The pain was starting to wear on her. That and the blow to the head were taking it's toll and Sara was unsure as to what was going to happen next. She just needed to sleep. Needed a little time. It was then that her head started to clear, though in some ways she felt drunk.

"Demetri, carry? my things if? you ?would be so kind." Sara's voice was low and strained. "Henry, hhelp me up, we? have to go. Outpost? two miles. One mile?you leave me. Need?irradiated water?thirsty." Sara was starting to shiver. She had considered the possibility of going into shock. As long as she focused on the task at hand, she should be okay.

"Yes Ma'am," Henry rushed over to pick up Sara and moved out. He had aimed his shot so that it was only a flesh wound but he hoped he didn't miss. "You know maybe we should give you a small dosage from the stimpak so that you can at least make it to the outpost," They passed by the outer perimeter of the base, picked up Greg, who Henry thought seemed to be having a bad day and continued through the wastes. He turned to Demetri and said "One hell of a mission eh Sarge? I hoped that it would be a simple escort mission but now we have a walking wounded with us and we haven't even gotten our orders yet, "

Claire listened to Henry. He spoke of orders and her head started to clear, the fresh air helping to clear her mind.

"Stop. You need to stop." Sara 's voice was a little less strained. The four of them stopped and Sara sat down on the ground. She reached up to Demetri and took her coat. From the pocket she removed a syringe with a blue liquid in it. Sara placed the syringe in her lap, and drank down an entire bottle of irradiated water. Her throat burned and she gagged at the taste.

"Outpost Zeta has been destroyed by the brotherhood of steel. It's two miles away from here. Once we have trvelled one mile, the three of you will head north and take up a position out of sight of the base. I am going to infiltrate the outpost and try to get them to divert the bulk of the force which is still two days away. It will buy us a little time at the very least. As one can only assume that they will take me back to the rest of the battalion for medical treatment, you will follow along, staying out of sight. When I can, I will escape, and meet up with you. You will stay to the north of my position so I know which way to go." Sara closed her eyes for a moment and picked up the syringe. Laying down on the ground she jabbed it into her neck and injected the substance.

Sara began to convulse on the ground. It wasn't violent, and only lasted for about a minute. When she had finished, her clothes were covered in dirt. Her swollen eye and other wounds all appeared to be changed, as if by the effects of time. Now she looked like she had wandered through the wasteland after a battle. The cut on her head had even started to itch from becoming infected. Sara smiled a little and then vomited. Pulling herself to her feet, Sara slowly moved to Demetri's side. She leaned on him, and put her head on hs shoulder. It was out of exhaustion, but it was also so she could whisper something to him. Something no one else could hear.

"No matter what happens. Do not let Gregory out of your sight. Do this and we shall see about a promotion for you after the mission." Sara slowly pushed herself up and away from Demetri, and slowly moved back over to Henry. She leaned on him again and her next words were loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Once we separate, Gunnery Sergeant Green will be in command. You will follow his orders at all times. Move out men." Sara would be on her own very soon, and it wasn't going to be easy. Her head was still spinning and her vision was a little blurry, but she knew what she had to do.

Demetri was realived that Sara had stopped this madness of having herself beat up. Sara leaned up Demetri's shoulder and whispered in his ear, "No matter what happens. Do not let Gregory out of your sight. Do this and we shall see about a promotion for you after the mission." Demetri still had little idea of what Gregory had done, all that he knew was there seemed to be trouble surrounding him, Demetri thought the idea of getting a promotion to Lieutenant was intrestingm, specially since it was difficult for him to go up the ranks with history.

Sara had gone off, Demetri was looked to be given second in command, and full command when she wasn't around. They were ordered to move out, Demetri grabbed his helmet and put it on his head and picked up his weapons, Demetri checked the weapon quickly before following after her.

Sara was starting to be able to focus again and Henry was told to follow Demetri. He was glad to have order restored and now they were moving through the wastes at a steady pace. They didn't have to go very far until the outpost came into sight. "We still have a few more steps to go but we should stay low, they might see us even from here. He took out his binoculars and observed the base. Just as he expected there were at least a platoon of BOS troops in and around the base. They seemed to be saluaging any Enclave technology they could find as well as gathering more troops to make an assault on Blood Gulch.

Henry turned to Demetri and said "I wish we had more troops, it sure would've been a lot more easy to take the position if the others weren't late. As it is, I don't quite trust Greg and there's only the two of us," Henry hoped that Demetri was a good leader and didn't get into the Hellfire troopers simply for being tough and reckless. The sun was beginning to go down now and night wasn't far off, that would be quite helpful but it was still quite dangerous in the wastes. A rad scorpion or a deathclaw could come in and kill them all before they could even bring their weapons up.

Sara looked at Demetri, Henry and Greg. Her vision was still a little blurry and she was starting to waver a little bit. She felt the urge to vomit again, but suppressed it.

"Alright you three," Sara looked and felt exhausted. It was strain just for her to remain standing. "Head north and observe. I'm going to go and say hello." Sara forced a smile. Her face was dirty and had dried blood all over it. Al in all, she looked quite ghastly. Sara nodded towards Demetri and started to walk towards the outpost.

Sara was still in a great deal of pain. Her shoulder ached and still burned somewhat. She was more staggering than walking, and each step sent pain through her. The sun was beating down, and Sara wanted to just lay down and go to sleep. Just for a moment, a little rest would do her good. Slowly she walked around an outcropping of rock and into view of the outpost. Although it wasn't very far, It seemed to still lay miles in the distance. Sara was starting to feel unsure if she was going to make it. She was unable to walk a straight line and she felt as though she may fall over at any minute.

Slowly she approached the gate and walked through into the midst of the Brotherhood troops who were milling about. They looked as if they were getting ready to move out and head to Blood Gulch. They stopped what they were doing and looked at Sara. A couple of them drew weapons, though Sara couldn't tell what they were. She was done. And it was at that moment she fell face first onto the ground and passed out.

Captain Desafio

Grunts and yells rang out throughout the base, or what was left of it anyway. With a snort the lone man leant against the wall right next to the gate, sighing loudly. When suddenly he heard a moving sound outside the gate, with a start he moved off the wall. Suddenly the gates moved inward and standing there was a woman, or maybe a girl. Either way, she was relatively torn up, half-healed wounds all over her body.

As everyone stopped and looked at her, the Captain noticed a few raised their weapons. He guessed it was fright as she fell to the ground with a very loud thud. Blinking a few times the Captain quickly rushed over to her and checked for a pulse; receiving one he lifted her up. Grunting a few times he quickly turned around and looked out into the group of soldiers, "Where the hell is the Medic! This woman... Or... Girl... Needs our help, now!"

One of the men stumbled forward, holding a metal briefcase with a red cross on both sides. Moving forward clumsily he quickly took her from the Captain's arms and into his own. The transfer was quick and within a second the Medic had turned and rushed to the nearest building. Following quickly he walked in on the Medic looking her over quickly. With a few grunts he pulled out some painkillers and got it into her system.

Turning around he walked straight back out, he hadn't been one to watch anything medical happen.

Demetri took his helmet off and held the binoculars he was given earlier to his eyes, watching Sara make her way to the camp. Demetri watched until he saw that a medic had come to sort her wounds out, seems it was working. "Okay, lets move," Demetri ordered, placing his helmet back on the head, Demetri looked up at the sky, guessing north from the position of the sun. Demetri pointed at the direction and led the way.

There was a slight breeze, blowing sand around their feet. After what was believed sufficent distance as well, they were in a rocky area, but one large sloping rock allowed Demetri to stand at the top and give an excellent obersvation point, "Rest, just make sure you're already to move in a moments notice. Demetri put his weapon down and took his helmet off, and made his way up to the the top of the rock and looked towards the outpost, waiting for the first sign of the captian.

Henry sat down by their position and stayed low, letting Demetri risk any snipers that would see his silhouette. In the meantime, Henry kept watch on Greg and any other dangers out in the wastes. The sun was almost gone and the harsh cold started setting in as they watched the base. He was soon unable to see very far normally and Henry switched to thermal vision, an advantage of all Enclave power armor had. Henry simply sat around and occasionally took some looks at the base. He soon took to observing the average Brotherhood Knight as the patrols were relieved every five hours and the occasional squad of reinforcements coming from other Brotherhood bases where they were massing up.

Then, he noticed the sound of something being dragged across stone. He left his spot by Demetri and went to investigate after telling Greg to cover him. What he saw made him fall backwards in surprise. Right under a pile of large stone was a cave. Scatter all around it was various decomposing corpses. He then discovered the source of the mess, it was a 14ft tall Deathclaw bringing his fresh kills to what was undoubtedly a large lair filled with them. Making sure to back up slowly around the hill he hurried back to his observation point where Demetri was, only 20 feet away. "Sir! I think we should get out of this position, there's a large Deathclaw lair right behind us. I don't think it saw me but I suggest we relocate before we get ambushed just like the other guys that rested here!"

Greg lit another cigarette and placed it between his lips. He never smoked before, but he was getting worried. Tons of things could go wrong. Sara could be found out, Henry, Demetri and Greg could all be found out. He walked over to the rock where Demetri was studying the base and stood beside him. He studied the layout of the outpost, checking to see if they changed much. It hadn't he thought, he knew the entire layout. " The building all the way to the west is the medical bay, where Sara is most likely. Second farthest to the east is the armory, and the center building is command."

He heard Henry behind him, breathing deeply. He then heard what he had to say, stunned the entire time. " Okay, uh, everybody stay low, and don't speak up. Grab your gear, were heading back. Greg walk over to the spot he put his helmet and rifle down. It was dangerously close to the cave, maybe twenty meters. After packing up, he heard a roar from inside the cave. Out came a small Deathclaw, followed by the biggest advlt Deathclaw he had ever seen. Greg barely was able to think before they spotted him and started after him. " [censored]!, we need to move, now!" He tried to run, but he knew that he was too slow, and much farther back.

He felt pain ripple through his back, causing him to stutter and fall over. A claw grabbed his leg pulling him back. " Demetri! Henry! Help me, I'm caught!" He looked for his rifle and found it in pieces a few feet behind him. Damn it, I'm dead he thought, I'm dead. He used his free leg and tried to kick the Deathclaw, making no progress. They where getting closer to the cave, in where he knew he couldn't escape.

Captain Desafio

With cold winds and little light, darkness settled upon the Enclave Base. The Captain pulled the cigar out of his mouth and let the smoke pour out of his mouth, sighing he turned. Looking right into the eyes of a scared-looking soldier, he was wearing heavy combat armor. He quickly stammered out, "Sir, the Medic says that the girl is starting to wake up; orders?" Blinking a few times he just moved past him and towards the building.

Moving through the door swiftly he moved right up to the table that the girl was laying on. Her breath had come back completely and her wounds were all covered and dressed. Coughing lightly the Medic turned, startled by the sudden sound; he just breahted a sigh of relief at the Captain. Nodding at the girl he quietly said, "Do you want me to wake her now or let her rest?"

"She was seriously injured when she came in, she's better now, we need to find out why; wake her."

Nodding, the Medic pulled out a needle and injected it into the girl's neck, with a start she took a great big breath and her eyes opened. Looking at her carefully the Captain quickly said, "Okay, who are you and why are you here?"

Sara opened her eyes and looked around. She first looked at the medic, and then to the Captain, who wanted to know who she was. Sara looked disoriented and showed discomfort at her new surroundings. She brought one hand up to her shoulder and felt the bandage. Her arm had been put in a sling and the medic seemed to have done an adequate job of mending her. Sara next felt the bandage on her head and continued to look around the room, giving the impression that she was truly confused as to what was going on. She opened her mouth to speak but no sound came out and Sara instead started to cough. She reached for a bottle of water which had been placed on a cart next to the bed, and took a long drink. Sara drained the bottle and let it drop to the floor. She felt woozy from the painkillers she had been injected with, but still managed to address the Captain.

"Hide. My name is Hide," Sara's voice was belaboured and she felt weak. She looked around the room some more before her eyes widened with fear.

"Little Lamplight!! They're attacking!!! Please you have to help!!!" Sara's voice sounded frightened with a pleading tone behind it.

"Please!!! The men in black armour came! They killed my friends! I don't even know if my sister is still alive!!" Sara sat up quickly, looking like she needed to go. The pain hit her, not unexpectedly, and she fell back into the bed and started to cry.

Looking at the girl, he just moved his mouth to the side; a girl from Little Lamplight. She looked no older than 16, her back was slouched and she was quite pretty for her age. Shrugging his shoulders he quickly said to her, "Black armor? Attacking Little Lamplight?" With a start he realised what was happening, taking a few steps back he looked at the Medic who had the same look of realisation across his face. Blinking a few times he opened his mouth a few times but no words came out.

Scowling he quickly said, "Medic, get out and tell the radio operator to send a message to the main force. Divert to Little Lamplight, we're moving over in the direction; we can't risk civilian deaths. Oh, and you," he looked at Hide, "thank you for telling me this. You can stay with us as we move back to Little Lamplight, do you think you're up to leaving now? We could use your directions; we're not familiar with the area."

Looking at her he gave her a small smile, glad that he wasn't wearing his helmet right now.

Henry started scrambling away as fast as he could but the Deathclaws had been alerted and they were almost certainly dead. He heard Greg shout and he turned around to see the smaller and faster deathclaw had gotten him and was dragging him towards the larger ones. "Hang on there Greg!" He started shooting at the deathclaws eyes and the general head area. The shots managed to take out one of the eyes and the deathclaw momentarily fell backwards. Henry seized the opportunity and hurried over to Greg and threw him over his shoulder. Greg was too heavy so Henry left behind everything that he could and started running. Unfortunately the deathclaws were fast and they were pissed off.

"Demetri! Open up on them with the Heavy incinerator!" Right after he said this the massive deathclaw caught up and struck out. Henry hit the ground and rolled over in the dirt with Greg just in time with several shallow claw marks on his back. This left them on the ground and at the mercy of the second swing. Henry threw Greg his laser pistol and raised his rifle in a desperate last stand. He fired his rifle repeatedly into the deathclaw's face but he knew his chances weren't good. His only hope was for Demetri to help get a good shot off and with some luck he could get up and move to a better position where they could survive. He shouted "Eat some of this!" and threw his plasma grenade right at it. He rolled over on his back and braced for the detonation.

Sara's tears started to slow down and she forced a smile at the Captain. She realized the unique opportunity she had right now. For some reason these troops didn't know the way to Lamplight. Perhaps a detour would be in order, but first she needed to think, and plant a story about one of her companions.

"Thank you so much for helping me," Sara gave a long sniffle and continued to speak. "It was horrible. They came in and started to kill my friends. They took some of us prisoner, including my sister, Seek. We thought for sure that we were going to die. One of the men in black armour came into where we were being held and spoke with us. He said his name was Gregory, and he was going to help us escape. He told us that he was with the Brotherhood of Steel and he was going to take us to get help. He lead us to the entrance of Lamplight where we were stopped by a couple of guards and a man who was wearing a grey uniform. The man shook his head at Gregory and said he had a friend from the Commonwealth to introduce to us. Another man in black armour came in and took off his helmet." Sara paused for a moment and the look of fear returned.

"He.. he.. looked just like Gregory. The man from the Commonwealth shot Gregory and then started to fire at the rest of us. We scattered and I was hit in the shoulder. I thought I was going to die, so I hid. I must have passed out, I remember the pain was horrible. I don't remember much of anything else after that. Nothing seems to make much sense. I really don't know how I got here." Sara tried to push herself up again. The pain was bearable but she slumped back down into the bed and held tightly onto the pillow. Sara started to breathe heavily and was shaking. She pushed herself up again with the same results as before. Tears started to stream down her face again.

Sara was trying to by a little time right now. She had a thought of how to get rid of the Brotherhood's elite. Just a little ways to the north was a deathclaw hole. And if the Brotherhood walked by it, they might become a snack. Problem was, it was possible that her men were in that area as well. And if they ran into them, all she had done would be for naught. Sara also felt a little bad about not warning Greg, Henry and Demetri about the hole. It wasn't that she cared what happened to them, but if the deathclaws got them, she wouldn't be able to torture Greg to death.

With a few muttered curses under his breath the Captain listened to her story, wincing at some of the news. He remembered Gregory, he was a good soldier, a Paladin before he left; now he was dead? Scowling he shook his head and cursed a few more times, he noticed the girl was still in massive pain so he glared at the Medic. The man quickly rushed over and pulled out a needle, injecting the serum into the girl's bloodstream. Visible ease grew across her face at the drug, it was experimental amongst the Brotherhood; but it worked.

Thinking quietly to himself the Captain came up with a feasible plan, but he knew that he'd need help to find Lamplight. Wiping his face slowly he looked at the girl, "Do you think your up to helping us go now? We can't wait to move on with the other forces, and I'm quite sure our message has already been sent out..." He liked the girl, he thought she was nice.

Thinking a bit he wondered why they'd ordered them to destroy all the terminals without looking for info... Shrugging he dismissed it and waited for the girl to speak.

Demetri ran down from his vantage points and picked up his weapon. Demetri turned some of the valves of his heavy incinerator and watched as the guage went up as the fuel was readied, pressing a button ignited the lighter at the end of the barrel. Demetri looked up in time to see the distinct glow of a plasma grenade going off, the deathclaw still came through, cuts all over it's body where the shrapnel from the explosive had gone into it.

Demetri turned his weapon upon the deathclaw and fired upon them. A number of large spheres of fire came out the barrel and arced down, one hitting a deathclaw and it was drenched in fire, it let out a deafening roar as it went beserk, slashing at anything to close, even the other deathclaw it came out with, the deathclaw's claws digging deep into the face of it companion. The creature barreled forward and tripped landing flat. The deathclaw let out a whine as the rest of it's life leaked away. The smell of burning flesh finally hit Demetri's nose, moving over to it, Demetri kicked it's head, making sure it was dead. "Sergeant, you all right?" Demetri asked making his way to the two, "And Jones, it's sir to you, and not my first name, even in combat, got that?"

Greg looked around, Demetri had killed the Deathclaw, and it was now smoldering on the ground. He looked down at himself, seeing he was torn up. The Deathclaw had swiped straight through the front of his armor, ripping it to pieces. " I thi- I think I can make it back."

Greg tried standing up, but couldn't even sit up. He looked down, seeing large holes in his Power Armor in his legs. The Deathclaw had put its claws right through the armor, and into his skin. Blood covered him everywhere, and he felt sick. He crawled over to a large rock ad sat against it. Pain surged through him, and he had no chance at getting back to base, as it was miles away.

" Dem-Demetri, head back to base wi-with Henry. I'll st-stay here and come back when I feel better." He reached for his medical pack, but then noticed it with its contents stuck underneath the Deathclaw. His gun was in half by a rock, and his helmet had been ripped off, thrown somewhere by the Deathclaw.

"Yes sir," said Henry quickly I knew I should have gone into officer school when I had the chance . "Now lets get out of here before that other one gets us!" as soon as he said that he saw what the other deathclaws had been doing all this time. They were surrounded. He counted at least five of them, none were as big as the one they just killed but all were deadly. "Uh, sir I think we wandered into a pretty big lair," Henry raised his rifle and got ready for the fight. "Sir, what do we do?" the odds were against them this time. He was all right for the most part because he had narrowly avoided the claw but there were some scorch marks on his armor from the grenade and the heavy incinerator's blast. He loaded a new microfusion cell, crouched down, and pointed his rifle directly at the nearest deathclaw.

Demetri looked around, "Crap," Demetri muttered under his breath, he looked as one of the reptiles stepped forward, crushing Demetri's helmet underfoot. Demtri raised his weapon up and unleashed a burst as one of the new arrivals was engulfed in flames, this one dropped to the floor and started frailing about in the dirt, trying to douse the flames. The rest pounced, rushing forward.

Demetri fired another burst at a new target, completely missing and impacting on the rocks behind the deathclaw. Demetri stepped back, and was jumped upon by one of them. The deathclaw snapped it's jaws at Demetri's face, only held back by the the thick plating on the arms of his hellfire armour. Using his free hand Demetri clenched it into a fist and brought it into the side of the head of the deathclaw. The deathclaw reared it's head back, Demetri pulled his laser pistol out of it's holster and shot it at point blank range. The energy beam went into the creature's head and left the other side, all that was there was a small hole and a burn mark where it had entered.

Henry was pounced upon by one of the deathclaws and was met with a shot in the mouth that came out of its head. The body was still in midair and hit Henry sending him to the floor again. With his hands pinned down he saw a small deathclaw taking its chance to strike at a downed prey. Henry struggled to get his hands free and managed to take out his laser pistol and emptied and entire power cell into the deathclaw. Most of the shots failed to penetrate the deathclaw's scaly hide and it only slowed it down momentarily. It decided to takes its time finishing Henry off and was coming in to rip his throat out. Desperately seeking a weapon Henry grabbed an object laying right next to him to find another plasma grenade. His head was getting crushed under the deathclaw's powerful jaws and he swung his fist into its eyes. It pushed the deathclaw's head a bit back and Henry pulled the pin on the grenade then slammed his fist into it mouth. It was a crazy idea but henry managed to let go and pull his hand out before it got bitten off and he heard the deathclaw swallow the grenade.

He closed his eyes and was about to get finished off by an angry deathclaw when it suddenly blew up in hot piles of melting goo. Henry then crawled his way out from under the deathclaw and was able to find his pistol and he quickly reloaded it. he was fumbling to put the power cell in when he saw another deathclaw charging right at him. "Aw crap how many of them are there?" He shouted out while taking out the jammed power cell in the pistol. He finally ripped it out and slammed in another power cell to find that the deathclaw was almost right on top of him. He raised his pistol to fire only to find that it was malfunctioning. He looked up to see a claw strike at him, then all he saw was sparks and the world spinning all around him. He landed in the dirt with a thud to find him 10 ft away from where he was to find the deathclaw coming in was the killing blow. "A little help over here!" He shouted while raising his arms in defense.

Lieutenant-Colonel Viktoriya Ivanov

Spitting on the ground Viktoriya scowled lightly, her small squad was doing so little these days. All they got to do was patrols, patrols and MORE patrols. Looking back at her men she counted two assault-soldiers, two snipers and one heavy-gunner. All of them were above the rank of Sergeant, one of the assault-soldiers was wearing Advanced Power Armor Mk. III even. Smiling lightly at her comrades she continued her walking, pacing a little further than she normally did on Patrols.

After a few minutes she heard a shout and plasma-fire, followed by some sort of flames rippling across the dirt. Jumping ahead she heard a great thud, followed by a yell of help; moving ahead quickly she clambered over a rock onto a terrible scene. Below her were three men, all seemed to be in a tight situation, with four deathclaws in view moving in on them. The closest man to her was laying on the ground without a weapon, a deathclaw seemed to be charging at him.

Blinking a few times she raised an eyebrow, quickly she shouted; "I think we should give these soldiers some help!"

Footsteps issued out behind her and men flanked her, she folded her arms and shots rained down upon the giant lizards. Two were down in a space of a few seconds, one of which was charging at the lying man. Hearing claws clicking together and roars she thought about what they'd really stirred up. Jumping down she ran over to the man and looked at him inquisitively.

"Come on Soldier, get up; we're busting you out of here," she quickly said. She reached out her arm to the man lying on the ground, who looked like she was an Angel from some sort of miracle.

Greg put his arm up as a deathclaw leaped towards him. He felt it chew down onto his Power Armor, and into his skin. He screamed out in pain as it ripped through his armor. " Dammit get this thing off!" He grabbed a rock and shoved it down the things throat, hoping to choke it. It backpedaled for a moment, and was shot by someone. He looked around and saw a squad of Enclave soldiers attacking the deathclaws. The deathclaws fell to the ground dead, only to have more come in their place. " Over hear, I ne-" He was cut off as a deathclaw grabbed him and threw him against the rock.

The deathclaw roared in his face, smelling of meat. He looked for something he could use, but found nothing. It threw him across the battlefield, landing a couple meters from Henry, who was being helped by the other squad. He started to crawl to Henry's position, but was once again caught. " Someone, help!" The deathclaw faced the direction of the outpost and started running. What the hell was it doing? Greg struggled with the beast's arms, trying to break free, but he was to injured to do anything. It jumped down to the plain leveled with the outpost and began running again. About halfway there, it suddenly slammed Greg into the ground, causing him to lose conscious.

Sara glanced about the room. She felt well enough to go, but needed to come up with a plan. She could see the sign above the door in the room, which read dormitory. She thought about what she knew about outpost Zeta, especially the layout. Sara knew that there was an armoury near to the dorm, and it had a radio. Her clothes had been placed on a chair next to the bed. They were nothing more than shredded rags now. Smiling innocently, she looked at the Captain.

"I think I am ready to go, but I would like a minute to see if there are some clothes in the dormitory if you don't mind." The captain nodded his head and he and the medic both exited the room.

Sara got up from the bed and made her way through the door and into a long hallway with two more doors at the far end. She walked first to the door on the right, which opened into a large room with beds and footlockers. Sara quickly rummaged through the room and found some pants and a shirt to wear. She quickly put them on and, realizing that they were too big for her, rolled up the pant legs and tied the shirt, exposing her midsection. She did this as quickly as possible and exited the room and went through the other door into the armoury.

Once inside, Sara made her way to the radio which was on a desk in the room. Immediately she turned it on and turned to the frequency for Outpost Foxtrot. She knew it would be too dangerous to send a voice message, the Brotherhood might be listening in. She picked up the microphone and started to click the button, sending static pulses through the radio which were really an Enclave code. The message had to be quick and to the point.

"Captain Sara Carter. Outpost Zeta. BOS, will route in your direction."

Sara waited for a moment after sending the message. She heard some static come through the speaker, which was the confirmation that her message had been received. She turned off the radio and exited the room, closing the door behind her. Walking back down the hall, she made her way outside and walked up to the captain. She felt high form the painkillers, but she was definitely well enough to travel.

"Um?sir?" Sara was speaking quietly and looking around to give the impression that she was trying to determine exactly where she was. "Lamplight is this way," Sara was pointing at a path which led south west away from the outpost. "I'm ready to go."
