Just so people know about the bombards and handguns imported into High Rock. The bombards are very basic cannons, innacurate and difficult to handle. The "handguns" themselves are little more than tubes, unrifled so very innacurate, slow to reload and prone to misfire. They're shorter range than bows and are dangerous only in large volleys capable at piercing heavy armor at a close distance.

Name: Swims-In-Shadows

Birthsign: The Tower

Physical Description: Swims-in-Shadows is a few inches short of six feet. He isn't particularly muscular or fat, so his weight is what you would expect for an Argonian of his height. His face is green on the cheeks and tannish-grey on the rest. Two short ram-like horns protrude from the top of his head.

History: Swims-in-Shadows was born in the northern part of Black Marsh, where he spent his childhood. When he reached age 16, he left his home and decided to move to Leyawiin with just a few sets of clothes, an old bow, and about 14 arrows. However, shortly after showing up in Leyawiin, he heard rumors of Argonian immigrants being tortured by local authorities, and fled back to his home in the Black Marsh. He showed up in his village, only to find in partially destroyed. When he asked the first person he met what happened, he found out that the village was raided by Dunmer slavers, and that his family was taken to Morrowind. Swims-in-Shadows traveled to Morrowind in search of his family. However, he had no idea where they might have been, and so he spent about three months in a fruitless search, only barely escaping from the numerous attempts to capture and enslave him. After three months of searching southern Morrowind for his family, King Helseth abolished slavery. Although never finding his family, Swims-in-Shadows believes that they are now living happy and free lives, and so is very grateful to King Helseth. As a result, he joined Helseth's army as an archer and scout.

More recently, Swims served in the Sentinel campaign, and early on he received the gauntlet mentioned below. After a series of events, he proceeded to desert the army to get the gauntlet repaired and upgraded, and left Hammerfell for High Rock. He is currently desperate for employment, and has only a few gold pieces to his name. Considering how he has never been particularly scrupulous, and being as desperate as he is, he will take any mercenary contract, from legitimate fighting to assassination to kidnapping to espionage for a relatively low price.

Weapons: A crossbow, a simple iron spear, and an enchanted dagger that absorbs the health of those it strikes. 4 darts, a small vial of poison, and 4 bolts enchanted to drain strength.

Armor: Chitin Armor, but no helmet. The horns on Swims-in-Shadows's head make helmets very uncomfortable for him.

Misc. Items: A special ring and a magic glass gauntlet created by Master Aryon. When the ring is activated, and the gauntlet touches an object, the gauntlet emits a high frequency vibration, causing severe damage to the object.

If anyone currently has any ideas regarding the integration of Swims into the current plot, I would greatly appreciate hearing them.

He can work with my character raven! She might have a few dollars to hire him. She does a lot of sneaky stuff and knife work.

Ok, now I can finally start getting back into this. Took our first final today, and I don't need to study for the other ones. All my projects for school are out of the way, so that clears up more time. Everything now allows me to give the RP some focus.

I'm happy to report school's about to get very lax for me (out of the following three weeks which are the last for me, I'll be going only ten days), so I'll have more time off of reading and gaming, thus more time for the RP. I hope to churn out a post for Ludovic sometime soon, and if torikton doesn't come back by next Sunday, I'll move the Nordic situation to get things going.

Ahhhhhh the smell of an RP forum! How ive missed you soooo much. Hows everybody doing? I see alot of new faces and it makes me feel really old. Anywayz I figure id cut through the pleasantries and get right to buisness! Give me a map and a plot of land and I shall give you a kingdom!

I have been looking at these impressive Rosters. I must say that I dont really feel the need for something pivotal. The concept im brainstorming as there seems to be alot of action drifting towards the east of High Rock in the mountains. I was thinking along the lines of a small Legionary division gone Rogue and forming there own Mercenary force for money and chaos! A solid core of cut throats who want nothing more then to stain their armor red and be rewarded with the cold hard clinking of gold at the end of a bloody day :chaos:
I just think itd be good if there was just one character in the RP who EVERYONE is like "Thats a baaaaaaddddd dude." maybe even throw a little Daedric roots into the mix. And I do play the antagonist oh so well.

ALL FEAR THE BLOOD PACT!!!

Ehm.....I mean, or something of that nature.

Actuallty i'm moving Tudor east with a small force and picking up troops along the way. I could use a force of 5,000 Legionnaires and their "engineering" expertise.

Name: Saul Vadrem

Race: Imperial

Age: 35

Birthsign: The Warrior

Physical Description: Standing well over 6'6 Saul is a Demon of a man. His body is immensly lean and his gaunt features hide an extremely well adapted physique. His eyes are sunken in, but even then can one make out his eyes which appear the color of brass as they peirce out menacingly. His body is covered in scars, most from battle. Others came from his own hand, a mark of his own supperiority. The most evident include a spiral brand like a snake that coils from his upper right shoulder to his bicep. A menacing one that runs from the top of his shaved head down his right eye; And finnally a menacing jungle of scar tissue that runs from his chest down about halfway to his waist. Many smaller but none the less disturbing can be seen on almost every visible part of his flesh.

History: In his youth, Saul was proclaimed as the pinnacle of Legionnaire courage and integrity. He fought at the front of every battle even as the Imperial forces slowly lost more and more ground. His most famous action being a rearguard attempt in which he single handedly killed an Orc chieftan even after the monsters flame enchanted warhammer crushed his chest in. Soon after he recovered from his injuries a change began to take place. His calm demeanor began to be replaced by something more savage. He looked forward to the running battles fought constantly, each scar another trophy, each kill another insentive, each fallen comrade another weakling culled from "his" flock. It was during one bloody night that Saul entered the commanders tent, followed shortly by terrified screams. The blood drenched form that emerged from the tent was no longer the champion of virtue whos name was one of hope for all Imperials. Displaying the severed head of their former commander Saul proclaimed his superiority and proceeded to persuade his comrades of their greater lot in life. One of a soldiers paradise, an endless war where the weak died and the strong became rich and powerful. It was the incentive most of the men needed. Long had the men held doubts about their future in a falling empire and those that did not denounce their oaths were quickly slaughtered, there blood staining the once proud armor of of their former brothers in arms. Saul took his new force and marched against each of the surrounding forces, both legion and rebel fell before Saul. With his new found position he retreated into the mountains. There he set up his base of operations known as Blood Keep and henceforth came the history of the Blood Pact.

Weapons: GrimmJaw. A massive single egdged Silver axe, the blade is edged in ebony. Essentially a bigger version of the link with a much longer handle. Also carries a Tower Shield with a massive spike in the center as well has several skulls on chains hanging from it. One of the only men able to wield a massive weapon and a shield at the same time.

Armor/Clothing: Templar armor long ago stained red with blood and paint. The pauldrons are more pronounced with spike protruding from them. His gauntlets are menacing with spikes making his fist another valid weapon. The torso of the armor had been cut out as with all Blood Pact members to show their initiation scars. Wears a large fur coat draqed around his shoulders. Has a Chainmail Kimono from the waist down and Templar boots but no greaves as it restricts his movments. His helmet is a hood made of chainmail that covers everything except his eyes. All armor is red with parts chipped off from constant battle.

Misc. Items: His armor is adorned with grotesque trophies such as severed hands and ears, even a few skulls hang from his belt on wickedly barbed chains.

Companions: Valdress aka "Lady Val." A young Bosmer girl that Saul discovered in the ruins of a village he was paid to plunder. When he found her she was perched on top of an old mans chest carving intricate patterns out of the mans bleeding carcass. The Bosmer girl was clearly insanse but rather then kill her the two formed a bond of disturbing proportions. The soldiers hail her as their unofficial mascot and Saul makes ample use of her stable but limited magical capabilities as well as her uncanny ability to sense where danger is coming from. In battle she can often be found flirting around her master cutting tendons and throwing minor fireballs. Sometimes going as far as to perch on Saul's shoulder as he fights with great sweeps from GrimmJaw. Off the field of battle she is a trusted if not unstable advisor and makes a habbit of scampering across Saul making obscene gestures at anyone who looks.

Faction Sheet

Faction Name: The Blood Pact.

Rank: Lord of Blood.

Army Disposition:
5,000 Legionnaires.

3,000 Blood Pact soldiers: All are equipped in worn down Legion armor, most peices have fallen into disrepair and as such the only stable peices of armor found commonly are the Cuirass, Pauldrons, and Boots. The rest being replaced with peices of chainmail and or leather. Like all members, the torso of the armor has been cut out revealing the initiation scars that resemble a large X right across the abdomen. All soldiers carry Iron Hand Axes and Tower Shields. There are no archers or designated artillery peices. Each man is capable of operating basic siege machinery with skill and as such mobility is maintained in the army by scratch building all artillery peices.

1,000 Blood Knights: Equipped exactly as there infantry counterparts except mounted and carrying a lance. Most of the time these forces fight dismounted so depending on the situation there will be a varying ratio of infantry to cavalry or sometimes no cavalry at all.

1,0000 Anointed: The elite of the Blood Pact consisting of the most fanatically loyal to Saul and his ambitions. Representing the finest commando and guerilla specialists. They wear Chainmail armor with cloaks wrapped around them. Each man carries two Silver hand axes as well as several throwing daggers. They are unrelenting and completly fearless falling upon their foes in a tide of homicidal frenzy.

Note: As well as their initiation scars all members of the Blood Pact (except for Saul) wear a special mask called a Grotesque. These generally portray a grimacing, or leering face, often coupled with an exaggerated hooked nose or chin. These masks are usually a black colour, although it has been known for senior officers to wear one of gold or silver.

And one last thing! Is there another place where people are posting there stories? Alls I have read is buildup stuff.

Anyways, still working on an idea for the necromancers, but I think I'll post and advance Illusionary Nothing and I into the preparations for the knighting ceremony... when I get back from work.

This hasnt even started and the little hamster in the wheelchair in my mind is already furiously spinning! I sense a plot turn later in the story for mine and FC4's character perhaps?? Hmmmm how exquisite is the taste of a brother against brother war :nothanks:
The funniest part of this is that the similiarities between our two sheets are completely by accident! Great minds must indeed think alike.
Speaking of, FC4 how have you been!? Dont tell me you forgot the old ghost from the past that is myself :woot:
Even though its been awhile I think this is the perfect way to re-enter with grand style.

Yea I had something, kinda like that in mind. I plan to be ready by the time your forces make their way to Dunkarn Haven. However opening scenes are very important so expect the unexpected when you get there :foodndrink:
and by post it up....Does that mean I can actually like write my opening story! Will this RP finally begin to roll forward with my opening post! So much pressure, what should I wear!?! What if I mess up? What if it isnt good enough......What if its TO GOOD! Oh the Humanity!!!
