The Imperial Library

http://www.imperial-library.info/

I've got some time off today, and would like to start reading some lore from this awesome website, but there's a lot I just don't know from where to start.

There are a lot of different topics, some more interesting than the others, so I ask you, what lore topics do interest you the most? I'm looking for something deep and interesting.

Of course anything can be deep, and 'interesting' is subjective, but I need help started from somewhere!

Thank you ^_^

The pocket guides have pride of place for a reason.

The most swashbuckling rascals you'll find in one place in a lore story. It doesn't read as esoteric as the others, but has just as many layers.

7 Fights are very enjoyable, if you ever get the motivation to actually begin on them.

I'd start with anything Dunmer, their history is so well crafted and so well done that it's always a joy to go there.

You might also want to look into the Beggar, Theif, Warrior, King series. Not much on anything metaphysical or historical or what have you, but its a really good story.

Is anyone else getting sick of the word lore? I think its a [censored] of a word, a very obnoxious one.

I never liked it. :P

As a slogan or catchphrase, it's awful.

I drink to that :foodndrink:. It svcks like a hoover vac. Lore and random are two words I realy hate, they are the saggiest, most overly used [censored]s in the English Word Brothlel.

:meh: No one asked for your opinion.

BTW, I really like "A Dance in Fire", and I think it's very good for learning something about the Bosmer.

Hardly. I doubt there is any other word that is as relevant. The forum title even uses it. When another one is thought up that is more relevant (and isn't too damn big), I guarantee you i'll use it.

I don't see what the problem is anyway. Lore......what hell is wrong with that? That's what we're talking about.....Elder Scrolls lore. What would you WANT to call it, history? I mean, jesus....

Why I hate it as a word: I don't like the way it roles off the tongue  I just don't. Its just a minor idiocy of mine that has a way of getting to me; I'm not going to appologize for that (the [censored] of English words was an exageration:facepalm:). Live with my idiocy and I'll live with your doubley idiotic habits. It isn't a problem that we need to get our panties in a twist over, you're right.

It's funny to call TES lore lore, when it gets added in such huge ways so frequently. I know it has to, because the series is ongoing and development does that, it lays certain traditions aside for newer ones, or a closer iteration.

Thanks for the links guys, I don't have time to read much right now, but I'll be sure to read a few snippets when I get the chance.

Also regarding the word lore, as a foreigner, I think I pronounce 'lore' in a cool way if I have to say so myself :P I think I know what you mean TheMagnificentBastard, though the word 'lore' doesn't bother me at all.

to the OP, I would suggest diving into lore about each race (not just the playable ones) and see which one strikes your fancy and then progress to learning what you can about that race. Just keep on until you have covered several of the races. It takes time but you will eventually start to see the fabric that weaves all the stories together. Your mind may even be boggled! :P

Or exploding due to all the weird stuff going on.

But that was a really good suggestion.
