Not related to Elder Scrolls lore (as far as I know), but someone on this forum (I forgot who, sorry) posted the symbolic significance of the number 11 in our world. It's one-up on the devil's number (10) and 3x11=33, which is the "perfect" number of the Avatar. Or... something like that. Just wait 'till he posts in here.
Well, if they were emphasizing the number 9, I'd immediately think of Talos (the eight plus one, the ninth divine). But its eleven...so...that theory doesn't work.
11 has always been a personally significant number to me. Maybe Bethesda realized this, since I am awesome? jk (about it being 'cause of me) I think they probably just thought it would be a fun date since it won't happen again for another 1,000 years.
Eleven is very hard wierd (why did I say hard? :S), according to my computer's calender that day is a Friday and not Tuesday, when games are usually released.
In that case, its probably just a catchy date. Like people getting married on those kind of dates.
Lady Nerevar posted something interesting about this before: Hortator and Sharmat, one and one, eleven, an inelegant number. Which of the ones is the more important? Could you ever tell if they switched places?

It's verrry significant, because it's the day that TES-V will be released.
I think they calculated the whereabouts of the time that the game could be released, and rounded that to an interesting date that could be shown in an interesting way in the trailer.

"You know, we should probably put a release date at the end of that trailer..." "Yeah... Any suggestions?" "Not really, needs to be something catchy though..." "..." "..." "Eh, I dunno" "Very well let's just finish up the trailer first then, shall we?" "I think the letters should turn at the end like this so it kind of shows that... Wow you see that? Kinda looks like four 1s." "Now you're talking..."
It was probably just a catchy date - you have to admit, it's very neat On the other hand, maybe there are eleven dragons, or perhaps 11 clans(? I know nothing about Nordic lore... perhaps I should go research them, if I'm to be exiled to Skyrim soon.)
