So after you side with the Institute, Piper gives you this big speech on how she's ashamed of what you did and how she's not sure the world you created will survive. How the Institute will keep kidnapping people and thats bad yada yada.

Is there really no flipping option to tell her "Hey Piper, you know who was leading the Institute? My son. You know who leads the Institute now? Me. You know who gets to decide Institute policies? Me. Oh, by the way, why don't you sit in on our next directorate meeting. It'll do you some good."

I mean, seriously? She's complaining about being worried about the Institutes intentions, to the acting Director of the Institute.

Instead all you get is some weak arguments to respond to her with.

Anyone else find this annoying?

I kinda thought there would be but in the end I'm just glad she didn't get mad and leave. After all the time I spent on getting my lovers embrace perk I would have been mad.

Yeah I mean she doesn't outright leave or anything, which is good, but its just frustrating as hell that you can't dissuade her fears any more than saying "Is there nothing I can do to convince you?"

Sure there is you idiot! Take her to the Institute, do a meet and greet with the Directorate, explain to her all the potential good the Institute can do, show her some of their amazing technologies, TELL HER YOU ARE THE [censored] DIRECTOR! For Gods sake man don't just stand there with your thumb up your ass!

Given Piper has spent her entire life crusading for justice, do you really begrudge her the fact she's suspicious as hell about the grossly evil organization you've taken over?

No not at all actually. I fully expected her to question it. Makes perfect sense.

However, I'm miffed about the lack of responses to try and assure her that I, as acting Director, have the capability to enact policies that can reverse previously "misguided" Institute programs and processes. That I can help ensure that the Institute will have the Commonwealths interests in mind going forward. I mean she's been perfectly happy about my actions thus far, and she "idolizes" me. But she can't extend just a little trust or keep a little bit of an open mind about my decision? I mean, she's never even been to the Institute for starters.

Even if she was still suspicious after all that, that would still be fine. I'd understand it. Its just the lack of being able to really try to convince her that peeves me. Like I said, you can't even mention it off-hand that yeah, now I'm the [censored] leader of the Institute.

I mean hell Piper, how about I give you the position of "Director of Commonwealth Relations and General Do-Goodery" if you're that concerned about it.

Ehh, rationality is not something Wastelanders have a great abundance of.

I never got yelled at by piper for joining the institute.. instead she said she mentioned that she trusted me with it and didnt say much else beyond that..

piper seemed tottally ok with me being in the institute

though maybe its because i romanced her?

She dissaproved early on when we had to work with the synth to capture the other synth.. but after that i got piper approves and she seemed ok with the institute.. even saying something like it might be a good thing.

maybe its because i brought her along on all the institute missions.. she realised that maybe the institute was doing some good. (she even mentions this on the synth capture mission)
