The invasion of Vault 217

The wasteland: hard, merciless, unforgiving... for those fortunate enough to have made their way into these giant underground structures.. their was a future, for them and their ancestors. For the outside world however, that's another story entirely. In the dessert of Arizona lies Vault 217, gigantic in comparrison to most vault facilities. Where most would say the vault project was deemed a failure, one of the last remaining untouched facilities remains self sufficient and functioning. The outside world has other ideas however and is preparing to make it's way in, to pry open the massive vault door as if it was a lid of a jar. The very same door that has kept it's citizens safe for over 200 years. In a desperate world even the sheltered must take drastic measures if they are to survive. The vault runs an area of about 3.5 miles, with only one entrance and one exit. It is equipt with a geothermal generator, and a vast undeground greenhouse that 23 percent of all vault residents work at day to day. It services 12 robots, and holds just over 500 residents. It is run by Overseer Roderick, a man with a close inner circle, and a fair share of secrets. He has only had to execute 4 vault citizens in his 15 years as Overseer, however there are shadier areas of his inner circle that even the juiciest of vault gossip will not divulge. Security run a tight ship, and the only time their is generally any trouble is when someone gets rambunxious after consuming contraband, produced by an isolated group of rufians. However tipping off security definatly has it's perks for someone living in a facility based around rules, and it seems security is growing ever closer to finding the inner workings of this network of hooligans. What the vault dwellers fail to realise however, is that the outside world is hot on their trail.. and this underground sanctuary... has an expiration date.
