(OOC: Have you noticed how everyone goes off at the same time? Wow, just... Wow.)

IC:

I looked at Ashley for a second longer then I stared at the floor, I couldn't think of another thing to say, another thing to do, I waited but I didn't know how long it was. I pushed back through my memories again, trying to settle on one that I knew I wouldn't forget, I settled in it, reliving it over and over again... I didn't smile, because I was thinking the whole time, what could I do anymore? I was supposed to be one their best men and yet, here I was, sitting next to a girl that...

I shook my head at myself softly, I was starting to wonder whether I was thinking straight anymore, but the thought always continued shoving it's way into my mind. I remembered a word that I loved saying, that I always hoped for the one day of saying it in another context... But I realised that word had changed, I gave a small little laugh as I looked back up and at the ceiling. I thought back as far as I wanted to go in my memories to the time when I found a holo-tape with a song on it.

I started humming the tune, yet again, thinking and wondering of the Future. How do some people know exactly how to do everything right? I hoped soon enough, it would click together, but so far, only some of it had clicked for me.

Dakayev arrived at Tenpenny tower and saw that George had reinforced it.

"Open up"

The gate guard opened the door and let the group in. Dakayev walked through the clean granite halls, over to where George was taking a seat. The Enclave troops and officers were chatting in the mess hall and the other members of the faction were relaxing and drinking. The basemant was undergoing repairs and the ghouls were gone.....

" Well, I heard you had another change of plans. Enlighten me."

Dakayev sat down on a leather couch and waited for Georges response.

"Wait, what about the Outcasts. We need Ft.Constantine."

OOC: Aussie, I'm not happy but whatever. I was hoping for a fight at Bannister, but rarrrrr, I guess its either the citadel or Washington monument. Rar.

OOC Wow things go by really quickly. Roavan you should just meet with me down here and we can have a quick recap
Henry woke up after he dozed off on a chair by the cells. He took a drink of water and noticed that he'd been out for an hour and that Andy was done talking to Ryan and he heard the last words of Andy's announcement

"-meet down in the cells with Ryan and his soldiers. That is all."

Henry looked up to see Andy coming down the hallway. He stood up and said "Where do we go next?"

Andrew heard the message and started walking to the cells, saying to the medics, "Take care of him, I'll find out if you didn't." On his way to the cells, Andrew started thinking about what Ashley haad said to him back in the cells. Andrew thought, "I might've struck a nerve, goes to show how crappy I am at pep talks. I wonder how the IF does recruiting, I doubt its humane." Once he entered the cells, Andrew stood up and waited for any further orders.

George was laying on the sofa thinking, when Dakayev returned. As Dakayev spoke, George nodded and began to talk.

"First off, yes you're right. We need to persuade the Outcasts to join us. I would be willing to negotiate with them, and see if we can get them to join us."

George looked at his map, and wrote down some quick notes.

"Now, I began thinking about other outposts. From our last report, the Brotherhood seized control of the Capital Building, and the Washington Outpost. I thought why these would be important to the brotherhood, and then it struck me."

George pulled out another map, which showed a location named "AAFB".

"The Capital has a working metro tunnel that can transport people to a location known as Adam Air Force Base. It was once under control by the Enclave. It still has some valuable technology, that if we can get there, get our hands on."

"We can't strike the Washington Outpost yet, it's the middle. We would have to take over the Capital first."

George layed back down, and waited for Dakayevs response.

Dakayev looked at the map

" Well, I was thinking that we establish an outpost in Ft.Independence and then stage on attack Megaton. I know it sounds far-fetched, but I have an idea......."

Dakayev lifted his finger and pointed on a marker that said "Vault 101"

" Vault 101. If we can jump inside and take over, we can bolster our numbers significantly with how many residents are within. If a vault has 6 generations of people inside. About 2000 people. Then we can jump up our numbers by 300-420. Its also the LW's home. We kill anyone who opposes us, bolster our numbers and relocate there once the mission is done. I did remember something about a cleansing operation back at the IF H.Q. If they have something ready to wipe this region clean, the vault is our best chance. I suggest we take over Megaton and reinforce a small contigency of men there. Then we proceed to march on to vault 101. We have the access codes to the control panel. Once we do so, we can wait for the cleansing operation to finish. Once we relocate our forces prior 1 hour into the vault, we can emerge and use the technology at our disposal to make a new outpost. Then, the IF main leader will come here to investigate the work we did. We kill him, then we can officially proclaim a new world order. But the LW is a big threat. Tell our men to be on high alert just in-case. "

" What do you think? We go in to Megaton while you get the Outcasts to leave Ft. Independence. We take their gear and men with us. After that, we move on to Vault 101 and bolster our numbers. We then settle inside the vault until the operation is over."

" Bang, knock, bang, boom. Easy in , Easy go"

Dakayev turned his head a little to see the men were preparing more defenses around the tower. It won't be long before this is all over.

OOC: Dakayev doesn't know its a bomb. HE thinks its a operation. So we are going to raid Megaton then Vault 101. Then the big battle at the Citadel.

George listened as Dakayev gave his thoughts. He took a breath in, and spoke.

"Alright, so I understand the importance of Fort Independence, but how do you plan on getting to Vault 101? According to our intel, the Vault is run by apparently a woman named Amata, and she won't open the door."

George thought for a bit, and got up.

"Unless you plan on finding a way in there, I don't know how we can raid 101. In the meantime, we found these security radios in tower. We can use them to stay in touch while we both perform are seperate tasks."

George handed Dakayev a bulky, but functioning portable radio that could be used for communication.

"Anything else I need to know Captain? If not, sounds like we are ditching this tower."

Dakayev smiled

" The vault has an access panel. From what intel sources have gathered, we know that the door can be opened at will with a console panel code. From the likes of it, the girl Amata is barricading the population inside. But we have one thing they don't. The Enclave tech's. With the scientists help, we can hack the control panel and move in. We'll be ditching this tower and busting inside of the vault. Once everything is in control, we assemble a small army at Tenpenny tower and attack Megaton. When we finish up with the town, we pull out all our forces from the town and make a mad dash for the vault. "

" We just have about 240 men . Most of them Enclave refugees. We need more men. Pull of this plan accordingly, then proceed to the vault. I will direct the effort to get inside the vault. YOU will go to Ft. Independence with the rest of the troops and convince the Outcasts to join us. After that, I will make a combined assault on Megaton with your group and we finish off the town. I have a feeling the Brotherhood has contacts there. We then pull out our forces and head for the vault and have a drink on me!"

Dakayev looked at the floor.

" So, what do you say?"

George took a second to think about what Dakayev proposed. After getting it together, George spoke.

"Aye, Captain. Due to the low threat of persuading the Outcasts, I don't plan on bringing many men with me. Once I get them to cooperate, i'll radio you in, and my men will strike along with your group and take down Megaton."

George put the maps back in his bag, and was ready as he prepared himself for Dakayevs arrival.

"I'm going to gather a squad or two of soldiers with me, and i'll head out. Radio me in case something happens, i'll do the same too."

OOC: I hope Aussie and Last Best hope read our previous posts

Dakayev stood from the chair and walked away. He walked over to the mess hall and looked at the Enclave forces chatting about what it's going to be like working for him.

" Alright, I need one squad of troopers to come with me. We're heading out for a certain vault 101. We're re-locating to our new home. I just need one squad to follow me. The rest of you are to secure the vault and maintain order while we attack megaton. Any questions?"

The whole group replied in unison

" No sir!"

Dakayev smiled then walked out of the room. Ten Enclave soldiers followed him, the same Private Jennings following him as-well.

" Seems like you'll be taking another tour of duty with me, private?"

" Yes sir!"

" Your orders are simple, eliminate the Overseer , Amata, and move in"

" Roger that, I'll take the men in and out clean and smooth."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dakayev walked outside the front gate with his small squad of ten men, moving into the wasteland. The group jogged along him, waiting for Dakayev to pull up some song for them to sing along the way

" I've got one, sing along men!"

" Yes sir!" The troopers said in unison.

"Yesli na atchiznu nagryanyet bieda, pozaviot soldata truba. Armiya may?, ty na strazhe vsiegda! Ty - may? lyubov i sudyba!

Chorus:

Obyknaviennaya, sudba niliogkaya vayennaya.
Lyubov surovaya, no vyernaya. Gatovy my na ratnyi trud.
My vse, my vse ispytany ni raz, ni dva bayami-marshami.
My at soldata i da marshala - adna simya!

Nash oktyabr s nami v pakhodnom strayu!
S nami pyesni krasnykh baytsov, perbyi dyen, vayny, i pabyednyi salyut, I sudba pogibshikh atsov...

Chorus.

Mchatsya nashi gody, No zhizn moloda!
I pay?t kak prezhde truba.
Armiya may?, ty na strazhe vsy?gda!
Ty - may? lyubov i sudba!"

The Enclave soldiers tried to make out the words, and messed up twice, until the third time they got it.

The group continued singing while moving across the dilapidated high-ways.

Ashley was still silent, staring at the floor. She wiped her eyes and looked up. "It doesn't matter now... No point dwelling on the past. Even if I can never forgive the people responsible for it..." She looked at the Captain for a moment then turned her head to the door when she heard Andy return.

She got to her feet and wiped her eyes again before walking out of the room. "So am I coming along for this wild wide or staying here in my cosy little cell?" She crossed her arms and leaned on the wall.

OOC: You got it. I went to I-hops today, and I had myself a nice two coffees. Mmm............ So yeah, I am awake. Expect me to kick butt for a long amount of time.....

Vault 101 Cave entrance 12:31

Dakayev stood resting his shoulders on the wall of the cave while one of the Enclave technicians/scientists opened up the console panel and began hot-wiring it.

" How much more time?"

" Only about a minute sir"

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, the panel displayed a green light

" She's ready"

The panel then pushed down a lever and a alarm could be heard. The door pushed backwards, moving in-ward. It made a loud screech as metal rubbed on the vault door.

" All right, lets get in!"

The men of the squad started walking inside the door, moving past two mag-lock doors.

Suddenly, out of no-where, a man in a nylon vest came from one of the vault door hatches and aimed his gun at the men

" Who......the heck.. are you?"

Dakayev pushed his way through the squad until he got to the security guard

" We're here on Invisible faction buisness. We require the immediate occupation of this facility. We have another group coming in about 30 minutes. Waste my time and your head comes off. Got it?"

The officer looked at them both before accidentally firing a shot at one of the Enclave soldiers. The bullet pinged off the power armor.

" Officer..Gomez.... Nice to meet you..Sorry about that...."

Dakayev shaked the officers hand and moved through the corridors of the vault, arriving at the overseers office.

" You may want to leave Gomez, things are going to get ugly"

" Wait, you're going to kill Amata?"

" You got it"

Gomez then walked away from the door to the office, slowly proceeding to the southern hallway.

Dakayev looked at Amata in the chair, filing a folder of sorts.

" Seems like your friend made a name for himself out there"

" Who are you? Enclave, Brotherhood, Talons"

" No, we are the IF and we need the vault in our control now. Surrender or die."

Amata began to sweat

" Ok, no need for violence, how did you hear about Andy though?"

" I tried to kill him, that's how. I instead planted a bullet in his girl. Now can we please announce our arrival?"

Amata frowned at the thought of knowing that the LW had found a new partner.

She slowly opened a cabinet next to the mainframe and pulled out a pistol.

" Men, fire!"

Two Enclave soldiers raised their laser rifles and gunned down Amata. She made a small yelp of pain before falling to the floor, sizzling with fresh laser scorches.

" Secure the vault, open up the PA system and advise the vault who's in charge"

Dakayev then sat down on the chair as he pulled out the portable radio and began dialing Georges frequency

Andrew started to feel uncomfortable with the silence, so he said, "How'd you guys even end up working for the IF anyway? You don't seem to come across as genocidal maniacs like the Enclave."

Ashley shifted uncomfortably on the spot. "It was either join them or be killed... I took position of medic soley that I wouldn't have to kill many people. My job was to save lives not end them. When we marched through countries I'd sneak off to try and help injured innocents." She looked down at the floor glumly. "Those people probably wanted death after they found their families dead. I've realised that now, through personal experience." She smiled weakly. "Not all of the Faction are cold blooded... Some just didn't have choice."

George was heading to Fort Independence with his squad when the radio in his bag began to go off. He opened the bag, and activated the radio, talking through the radio.

"This is Colonel Stewart, what is your statement?"

He kept the radio on as he and the squad approached the fort. There in the distance he could see that there were two men guarding the building, with another behind the gates surrounding the building. George went up to one the men, and spoke.

"I am Colonel Stewart of the Invisible Faction, I am here to speak to your leader, and share some words with him."

The guard looked a George confused, having no idea who the man was, or the faction, but guessed from the high tech gear the men had, were not a force to reckon with.

"Alright Colonel, the gate is open. The man you would want to talk to would be Protector Casdin. He is the one in charge. Try not to make any sudden moves, as we will shoot you if we catch you or your men doing anything suspicious."

George nodded at the guard the him and the squad entered through the gate, and entered the outer area of the fort. He noticed Casdin was looking at some equipment as George approached him.

"Excuse me Protector, my name is George Stewart. I am the second in command of the Invisible Faction. We need your help in order to stop the control of the Brotherhood of Steel."

Protector Casdin looked at George, and spoke to him.

"Excuse me George, but we are the Brotherhood of Steel. I assume you mean the ones who claim they are Steel. If that's the case, follow me."

George shrugged his shoulders towards his squad, telling them to stay put. Following Casdin, the two entered the inside of Fort Independence.

"So George, why does your 'Faction' need our help anyways?"

George looked at Casdin while walking with him. He didn't know where Casdin was bringing him, but kept on following him, while speaking to Casdin.

"We understand as we came here to the wasteland that the biggest threat here was the Citadel troops, under the control of Elder Lyons and the Lone Wanderer. While they claim to do good to the wasteland, we understand that they have a bigger plan. That's where you and your men come in."

George knew he was lying. The Brotherhood didn't have any evil plan, or anything of the sort. But he needed a way to persuade the Protector and his soldiers to join the Invisible Faction.

Dakayev was about to dial the frequency when an Enclave trooper sprung through the door.

" Sir, it seems that most of the vault is under control. We have a little problem though..."

"Well, what is it?"

The Enclave soldier sort of giggled from within his helmet

" Some old geezer called Alphonse Almovadar claims you killed his daughter, and he set up a few mines inside one of the storage rooms. What should we do?"

" Shoot him. Plain and simple"

" Roger that"

The Enclave soldier left the room, bursting into open laughter as he entered the hallway.

After 30 minutes of re-programming the new vault systems, he thought he heard a gunshot and assumed it was his men. Private Jennings entered through the door and spoke to Dakayev

" The problem we had earlier is take care of. What else should we do?"

" Get a radio signal to Tenpenny tower and tell them to come over. We secured the vault. Tell them to bring in everything they can"

" Yes sir!"

Private Jennings left as Dakayev continued to look through the vaults mainframe.

He browsed down the vault musical records until he found one thing that caught his eye, a holo-recording of the Red Army Choir. The last time he remembered hearing one of their songs was right before Nathan smashed his holotape.

" Perfect"

He opened up the systems management interface and converted a new holo-album for himself. After putting it in one of his pockets, he played the music through-ought the whole PA system. It seemed to give an almost serene feel to the empty and clean corridors of the vault.

" At last, peace...."

Andrew said, "Well, that explains how the IF was able to get so many people to join their side. Killing everyone they know and handing them an ultimatum. I have to wonder what I might've done in your position. Would I have joined them or would I truly have fought?"

Andrew seemed to dwell for a few moments on that position, but then he said, "Since you were willing to share your story, I might as well tell you mine. I was born in Megaton and I lived with my parents who did odd jobs. I always wanted to explore, but it was too dangerous for an untrained 16 year old. So I decided that I'd hitch a ride with one of the caravans and go on adventures, to the utter dismay of my parents, who'd already seen the Wasteland's horror's. I stayed with that caravan for two years, learning how to shoot and kill through raids and animal attacks. That's actually how I got my sword and submachine gun, I'd picked them off the expired bodies of Raiders. I acutally joined he BoS when my caravan was attacked by a very large group of Raiders. The BOS helped us fend them off, I decided to join them to become a better fighter, and here I am now."

Casdin looked at George for a second, and continued walking.

"Well George, we haven't had any plans on attacking the rebels of Steel, and don't plan on doing it anytime soon. What would we benefit from if we helped you and your Faction?"

George smiled, and spoke to Casdin.

"My Captain is currently in the process of infiltrating Vault 101. I have his frequency available, and am supposed to tell him if I succeeded in getting you and our men into allying with us. So not only will you and your men be able to take refuge in a clean Vault filled with tons of resources and technology, but once we take out the Brotherhood in the Citadel and kill the Lone Wanderer, we get access to not only their equipment, but their purifier. The benefits are quite good, considering the minimal risks."

Casdin smiled, and walked into a room with a sign above the door labeled as "Armory".

"This is our armory. We have secretly been researching here in the fort gathering technology across the Capital Wasteland. If you are correct, and the Vault is under your Captains control, not only will we work together with you..."

Casdin opened a box with a weapon, that looked very odd in design. He loaded the gun with a weird ammunition clip, and held it.

"You will get this."

George activated his radio, and spoke.

"This is George Stewart. Captain, could you give me and Protector Casdin conformation on the status of Vault 101?"

George waited, hoping the Captain would respond, and tell him the good news.

Dakayev was listening to the music when the radio dialed in

"George"

He grabbed the radio box and pressed the open comms button

" This is Dakayev, the vault is under control as we speak. Casdin can move his men here now if they want. Just tell them to move their equipment and gear, personal and anything else they want. Tell them to meet us at the entrance"

" Send Casdin my good-will and regards"

Dakayev then simply waited for Georges response while laying back on the overseers chair, listening to the Red Choir music echo through the halls.

" This is going to be a piece of cake"

He began to fall asleep as the Enclave soldiers carried off Amatas body into the incinerator. More people would walk by and stare at the man in curiosity.

George and Casdin listened as Dakayev spoke through the radio. Following it, George responded to Dakayev.

"Understood Captain, we will be heading to the Vault in a while."

George turned off the radio, and looked back at Protector Casdin smiling.

"That good enough for you Casdin?"

The Protector looked down at the ground, and laughed.

"Absolutely George. Me and my men will begin heading to the Vault immediately. Shouldn't be too hard for us to haul our equipment. I will show you the weapon once we are settled in the Vault. Take care George."

Casdin walked off, and began giving orders to the soldiers. George smiled and headed back outside to regroup with his men.

"Alright, the Outcasts are now allied with us. Let's head to the Vault."

George and the squad began to walk in the direction of Vault 101 to talk to the Captain, and begin to prepare for the attack on Megaton.

Dakayev fell into a deep slumber and began to dream about the base camp in Siberia

Siberian base camp Nazgrod

Tartakov: You ignorant bastard, I told you to do seven laps around the camp in under three minutes! *punch*

*Dakayev: Sir yes sir! Orders for today?

Tartakov: I told you to run a damn course in THREE MINUTES! *Baton whacks Dakayev in the leg*

Dakayev: * Groans in pain* Sir....yes.....sir!

Tartakov: Run you maggot before I beat the little red Kracnaya's out of you! * Pulls out pistol and starts chasing Dakayev through the course*

Dakayev: Gah, sir yes sir! * Continues to run*

Tartakov: Get back here so I can kick your sorry ass!

" Ah!!!!"

Dakayev woke up and flew out of his chair into the floor

One of the Enclave soldiers looked at him in curiosity

"Sir?"

Dakayev looked at him

" What is it trooper?"

" Um, well, I was going to inform you that our forces from Tenpenny tower have just arrived. They are currently transferring supplies into the vaults storage rooms. Thats all"

" Then go about your buisness, take a break"

" Thanks sir, I'll go get myself a Whisky"

Dakayev then watched as the man walked away.

Dakayev stood up and re-positioned himself in the chair, looking at the vaults data-banks and re-vising scouting reports the previous overseer made

" Andy seems to have been busy"

OOC: Your turn guys.
