The Invisible Faction-The RP!

Ashley stayed on her knees for a while, thinking over the Captain's words. She watched him walk away and she sighed as soldiers ran past her. She got to her feet and started following the Captain and Dakayev. It wasn't long before the the music started again. Dakayev insisted on the singing again. "We don't all know Russian, Sergeant!" She called over to him. "I thought we were supposed to be the quiet strike team anyway. Sneaking around to the back with music blasting out isn't exactly the stealthiest option."

Her revolver stayed in her holster, at this range it'd be useless and a waste of ammo.

"There's people off in the distance. There's... Oh my God.. there's a small army headed our way! Sound the al-" The sentry up the top was yelling out to us.

I turned around only to see him get shot through the chest. It had begun, the war with this unknown faction. Panic and chaos began to break out.

"This is it my brothers! Foolishly they have attacked our stronghold! Show them what the Brotherhood is made of! It is made of the unbreakable STEEL!". I yelled as I ran off towards the entrance of the citadel.

I hoped my team was behind me, as I was running I yelled. "I'm going to give you a choice, you can either climb up to the roof of the citadel and try and snipe the enemy or you can wait here with the bulk of our force and when they get close enough, we will unleash hell. I will be here assisting with our main assault. You are more than welcome to stick with me. The choice is yours my Brothers, just tell me your decision."

I got to the front gate citadel. Most of our brothers were here, behind the indestructible metal gate. When the time was right, I would unleash hell.

Nate put his hand to his forehead, and yelled out to the sergeant,

"Damn, isn't that enough music?!"

Dakayev looked at him and smirked, before firing three shots at the enemy, all three making contact.

"Nice.." Nate muttered.

The whole of the Brotherhood seemed to move, every troop scurrying to get ready, theres no doubt that this was a surprise.

Nate pulled his carbine over his shoulder and grasped it in his hands.

"Come on you sons of [censored]es.." Nate whispered to himself, as he moved his aviators down over his eyes, and let out a big grin.

Nate's eyes widened, and he tightened his grip on his rifle,

"..Its time to die!"

Jugger was leaning directly below the Sentry nest above the Citadel entrance.
He was staring intently at the bullet in his hand, trying to concentrate on its design. Suddenly, it hit him. He pulled a small, thin magazine out of his Satchel titled Guns & Bullets, and flipped through a few pages. Finally, he found what he was looking for...a small photo of a 7.62 Russian round. However, he ended up more confused, yet interested, then before. A Russian marksman? He barely even knew what a Russian was.

He heard some shouting around him and tuned it out, trying to focus on his own side task.
Suddenly, he heard a plop to his right. He rotated his head slowly, and looked down. A dead body.
Instantly awake, he snapped his head up and saw where the Sentry had fallen, then pulled his Flamer off his back, armed and ready for use.
He ran to the entrance, and listened completely to what the Lone Wanderer had to say.

Jugger walked purposefully to one end of the gate and stayed there, raising his Flamer's nozzle high.
"I'll stay down here. Don't worry about me." He spoke slowly, deliberately. He knew this was a high-risk situation, yet he tried his hardest to shut out any other thoughts and calm himself. Flashes of his former fantasies of how his father originally died flew through his head. He cleared his mind, and crouched at ready.
"I'm ready. Hurry." He muttered to himself.

(OOC: Thank god for all the posts!)

IC:

I watched the others, making sure they wouldn't overdo this, it was time to keep focus not go on a rage... I kept moving towards the wall that had been designated, I kept counting down, soon enough I found myself saying, "3, 2, 1..." Sure enough, they'd kept time with me. I heard gunfire, screams, explosions, then suddenly, a white light pierced my retinas, taking out all of my vision, my ears completely deaffened for those few moments, I stood, waiting.

As soon as my vision came back I looked, there was no longer a back wall of the Citadel, I knew that this was it, the moment, I heard yells and screams behind me. I turned and yelled, "This is it, we can't wait a moment longer, it's time to take out the Brotherhood's biggest asset... The Lone Wanderer!" I turned and muttered to myself, "I doubt this will work, ha, it's time to die... I wonder what he'd say if he found out who I was... How similar we are." I smiled.

I moved towards the gaping hole that was the wall of the Citadel, I heard yells from the Brotherhood of Steel members, we'd only have one shot. I quickly yelled, "Dakayev! Get that rifle of yours and shoot at the Lone Wanderer! Now's the only chance we're going to have!" I ran to the edge of the wall and looked around the side, I was right, they weren't realising what was coming up behind them just yet... But I knew they would.

(OOC: And here we are, at the Citadel... Enclave Radio, this is your moment, remember what we talked about, you know what'll happen with that shot... Hehe)

Andrew thought, "So this "Invisible Faction" has finally reared its ugly head, and here I thought the Enclave was bad, but these guys destoyed them utterly." He then said to Andy, "I'll be sniping from the Citadel roof, give me a signal when you want me to fire." He then ran up to the roof and got into a sniping position, using the scope to scan for the first sign of an attacking force.

George walked along with the squad, moving in the back of the Citadel. Surprisingly, the Brotherhood of Steel didn't notice him or the others while they were approaching chanting the Russian anthem. Just in case, George pulled out and began to hold "The Voice" in case any of the soldiers from the Citadel began to open fire on the squad.

In the distance, he could hear the Invisible Faction storming the front of the Citadel, with sounds of laser rifles firing, and plasma grenades exploding. George knew his armor setup wouldn't really protect him from the type of offence the Brotherhood troops carried. His armor was meant to be concealed and lightweight, allowing him to outmaneuver the "clunky power armored peons". At best, the armor could protect him from basic ballistic weaponry, and most possible melee attacks. In order for him to survive this suicidal strike, he knew he was going to have to be as agile as possible.

Nearby, a grenade went off behind the moving squad, sending shock waves that stopped his heart for a small moment. He realized that this mission was going to be different than any other battle he has been in.

"Snipers on the roof open fire!" I yelled out.

I heard the shots of people above ring out, I got a signal from one of the snipers telling me that their force was in range. I opened the front gate.

"Go my Brothers! May steel be with us all!" I yelled out.

Deep down I wished the best for my team, I knew they would do me proud no matter what. Suddenly a large blast came from behind us, the back of the citadel had been ripped open and a small force was infiltrating. I cursed them as I began to run towards the opening. The Lyons Pride had taken up a position at the back wall and was fighting back, I grabbed a few of my Brothers and we all ran towards the opening.

Ashley hurried with the small group. She heard the crack of rifles firing from the rooftop. To the side soldier that she may or may not have known fell down either dead or bleeding. She shouldn't be worrying about them now and she knew it, she was part of this team. She focussed back on pushing forward until an incredible force pushed her left shoulder back, sending her sprawling on the floor. She picked her self up and started running again.

She reached the wall where the captain was and looked down at her, there was a large dent in her combat armour's shoulder protection where a sniper must have hit it. Her shoulder felt bruised but she ignored it and pulled her revolver out.

The whizzing of bullets and bloodcurdling yells echoed across the front of the Citadel as the two forces clashed.
Jugger was on his Brother's side, advancing slowly amongst the chaos. Two thinly clad soldiers, covered in grime and blood, suddenly sprinted at him from his side, screaming insults as they raised both of their weapons.
Juggger barely even flinched, instantly swinging his Flamer to his right and watched, time almost slowed, as the nozzle rotated, then suddenly spat out a cloud of fire. The two enemies dropped to the ground, and he pressed on.
He felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder, and glanced over to see a bullet pressed firmly into his Armor. It was thinnest there, but the impact was still greatly reduced. He tried his best to shrug it off as many other shots flew by and into him.

Suddenly, a massive explosion caused his feet to shake and his ears to ring. He turned his head, and saw a small line of the strange new adversaries bursting onto the Citadel's back side.
Practically growling with anger, he instantly abandoned the front and ran as fast as he could back to help.
He stumbled and almost fell as a Missile burst open nearby, but kept his pace, finally pushing his way back to the Citadel after bashing another enemy's skull in with his Flamer's side.

He stopped and let another gust of flame shoot out, beating back a couple more Invisible. He checked his sides, and saw that he wasn't alone. He was with comrades. Grunting with the effort, he got ready for a long battle.

Once Andrew heard the order, everything else was blocked from his mind as he just started shooting at every IF soldier he could see. The first thing he noted about the Invisible Faction, they were very well equipped. Some of their weapons he'd seen only in history books or during training. Other's looked like they were custom made. Andrew looked to his left and saw more IF soldiers coming in from the back. He then cursed as he was knocked over by a sniper round in his shoulder. Andrew then got up and shot the enemy sniper in the face, his head turned into gibs and mush. He then started covering Paladin Jugger as he burned through the opposition with his Flamer.

I watched as Dakayev took his position, raising his rifle and aiming straight at the Lone Wanderer, everything went slow, I saw Dakayev start to pull the trigger just as the Lone Wanderer took a shot of his own. A ball of plasma erupted from his rifle, and hit Dakayev in the arm, his rifle went askew but he still pulled the trigger, I almost saw the bullet keep travelling, I gasped as I heard the whiz of the bullet as it flew through the air... And I heard the impact as it tore through someone's armor.

I looked frantically for the person, I gasped as I saw the person to fall to the ground, I recognised her immediately, Sarah Lyons. I saw that the Lone Wanderer hadn't noticed yet, but I gasped and bit my lip, I brought up my rifle and aimed at him, but I brought the weapon back down again. What could I do? As soon as he realised... What would he do? What would happen? Would we make it more than 10 metres away?

Nate's ears rang from the sound of the explosion, his unbuttoned flannel jacket waved in the wind. He saw the snipers open fire, and immediately reacted, being sure none of them were aimed at him. He looked towards Private Stewart, who preferred the same protection as him. Less resistance, more mobility. He hoped he knew how to handle it. Nate was very agile, and was hardly damaged, considering his speed and reflexes, so he really had no use for heavy armor. He looked to his right to see Ashley's shoulder jolting backwards, nearly knocking her over.

"Are you alright?" Nate yelled over the sounds of gunfire, and shrill screams of terror, that were caused by this hellish war that had just unfolded, before their eyes.

Dakayev saw the bullet hit this woman in PA right before a green ball of plasma hit him in the arm. His shoulder guard guarding half of the blast.

" Ah, [censored]!"

Dakayev held onto his arm as he moved away from the scene, his rifle hung on his back.

" Captain, I missed the mark, get me a medic! Ashley!"

Dakayev groaned as he saw the woman in PA , drenched in her own blood, her chest torn open

" Never stood a chance, eh..............That must be the LW's girl! HAHA, I got her you bastard! I got her Captain! I got the lone Wanderers [censored]!"

All this while the holotape continued to echo throughout the battle.

While George was running along with the squad, several things happened, including Ashley getting shot in the shoulder from a sniper round, which fortunately didn't slow her down thanks to the armor she was wearing. Another explosion went off nearby, causing George to jump a little bit in shock. He kept on moving, trying to maneuver himself through the possible haze of bullets and explosions.

He noticed the Captain firing at the Lone Wanderer, and turned out he shot Sarah Lyons, one of the Lone Wanderers best companions, according to the information he gathered while prior to the attack. If this was the case, the Captain may have possibly activated the Lone Wanderer from going mad to going berserk. The Lone Wanderer aimed towards the squad, but didn't seem to fire, as if he was waiting for us to get closer and enter the Citadel.

"Seems like the Lone Wanderer wants to take pride in killing us...", George said while moving. His voice could barely be heard due to the explosions and guns going off, which was much louder than George could yell at this point.

George attempted to shout as loud as possible at the Captain

"When are we getting inside this place anyways? We're going to be target practice if we keep running out here!"

(OOC Great posting everyone! Although many people are going to have sore shoulders lol. Keep it up guys!)

I pulled out my plasma rifle and began to unload into the enemy. I took up a position behind some rubble and began to fire. At first they were just random shots, some missed, others hit their targets. I wounded some and killed others. I ducked down and reloaded. I popped back up and I caught sight of a sniper, attempting to shoot me, I quickly aimed and fired first. I saw my shot hit the man, although I was unclear if I had killed him. I saw a flash from the muzzle of his gun, although the shot was way off. I laughed to myself.

"Your going to have to do way better than that."

Suddenly I heard a groan coming from a couple of feet next to me, the voice sounded familiar. I looked over to see Sarah lying down on the ground, I felt myself go numb, she had been hit. Without a single thought for anything else I ran over. She was in a bad way, I took off her helmet and began to talk.

"Sarah? Sarah look at me. Please Sarah don't die." I took off my helmet and bent down to just above her head.

I took her hand and whispered to her. "You can't die Sarah, I'm not going to let you."

She opened her eyes and whispered "Thank you."

I put my hands underneath her body and picked her up. I felt the wind of bullets whiz past me, I didn't care, all I cared about was getting Sarah to safety. I felt the dings and stings of bullets as they hit my armor. I just kept running back to the stronghold of the citadel. I had completely forgotten about my helmet but I didn't care. I just kept running.

Dakayev then awaited Ashley. While he did so he grabbed his stimpack and injected it into his elbow. The wound ceased to give him pain, and the scar dissapeared. He still saw a nice little hole in his arm. He continued walking out of the citadel when he saw that a man with a flamer was killing many of the troops. Dakayev then pulled out his sniper rifle and struggled to take aim. He pulled the trigger, griming in pain, he shot another soldier next to the flamer wielding man, missing his mark.

" Crap, I'm going to need a nice fix up before I get back shooting."

Dakayev then continued to sing his favorite song, although the world around him seemed to devolve into chaos, men screaming in agony, armor being torn to shreds and walls collapsing.

"Yesli na atchiznu nagryanyet bieda, pozaviot soldata truba. Armiya may?, ty na strazhe vsiegda! Ty - may? lyubov i sudyba!

Chorus:

Obyknaviennaya, sudba niliogkaya vayennaya.
Lyubov surovaya, no vyernaya. Gatovy my na ratnyi trud.
My vse, my vse ispytany ni raz, ni dva bayami-marshami.
My at soldata i da marshala - adna simya!

Nash oktyabr s nami v pakhodnom strayu!
S nami pyesni krasnykh baytsov, perbyi dyen, vayny, i pabyednyi salyut, I sudba pogibshikh atsov...

Chorus.

Mchatsya nashi gody, No zhizn moloda!
I pay?t kak prezhde truba.
Armiya may?, ty na strazhe vsy?gda!
Ty - may? lyubov i sudba!"

" Because I got the LW's girl! Hahaha! I got his girl and I put a bullet through her, hear me Wanderer, I got her!"

Andrew looked through his scope and saw Sentinel Lyons take a fatal shot to the chest, her body cavity torn open. He watched as Andy pleaded with her not to die, and then started carrying Sentinel Lyons back to the Citadel. Andrew activated his comm and said, "Sentinel Lyons is down, I repeat, Sentinel Lyons is KIA." This was becoming worse than he thought.

"Out of the way."
Jugger burnt another Invisible to the ground, starting to breathe heavily from the bullet holes all over his armor. Only a few had penetrated and hit his skin, but he was beginning to feel the toll of war.
He strode with the rear defense, blasting aside anyone who tried to get close to him or the Brotherhood soldiers that were shooting beside him. A head popped to his right, but he didn't dare look at the gory mess. Those snipers were dangerous...
A thought occurred to him...Where was the Lone Wanderer?
He ran across the line, seeing him bent over something. He halted when he got close enough to see that he was cradling Paladin Lyons in his arms.
The wound looked bloody. Although Jugger didn't want to say it to himself...he thought she wouldn't make it.
His feet seemed to move on his own as he saw the Lone Wanderer get up and start running to the stronghold.
"Move. I'll cover you." He yelled, his voice booming as he sprinted alongside. A few more bullets glanced off his armor, and he stopped and did another sweep with his Flamer, making a few enemies flee, on fire.
He tried to keep up his pace with Andy as he let off spurts of flame at approaching enemies. He also blocked shots, wincing as the fired rounds dug deeper and deeper into him every time.

I saw the Lone Wanderer notice that she'd been hit... I stopped, I saw that look as he looked at her, he'd even taken off his helmet... I felt my heart start to beat slower and slower, this was all a mistake... I got up, I heard the bullets firing, the explosions happening, the yelling, the swearing... I looked at the people with me, I smiled lightly, "I'm sorry about this, I really and truly am... I just got you stuck into the worst possible situation in our history... Getting hunted by a very, powerful, man."

I turned and walked around the wall, I didn't look back, I kept moving, I pulled my rifle off my back, I ran through a hail of fire that kept coming towards me. I felt a lot of different shots hit me in a variety of places, these people sure were accurate I'd give them that... Very quickly, I was running 10 metres behind the Lone Wanderer, I yelled, "Hey! Andy!" I saw him turn, I stared into his eyes, I saw the woman in his arms. He saw the rifle that I held and the look in my eyes.

I said, just loud enough for him to hear, "I know that I can find, the fire in your eyes..." His eyebrows raised, and then widened as he saw what I did next. I raised my rifle, aimed at him, looking at his head through the scope. But, as I started to pull the trigger, I dropped the rifle instead, letting it clank as it hit the hard ground. I looked into his eyes again, "This is it, the end of everything, I'm sorry Andy, for everything, for that," I pointed at the woman in his arms, Sarah, "Life is never what we expect it."

I smiled, then I walked over to him, he tensed as I came closer, the woman in his arms looked very close to her end, I just looked into his eyes and said, "Have you ever had a true life Andy? No, you haven't." I started humming, then started to sing, "So sacrafice yourself, and let me have what's left. I know that I can find, the fire in your eyes..." I stopped and laughed, I moved even closer, I put my hand in my pouch and pulled out a syringe filled with a red liquid.

I jumped forward and injected it into Sarah's chest, I watched as her eyes flew open and she screamed, I looked at Andy, "Hurry, she has a chance, I don't." I smiled, as if to emphasise the point, I heard a whizzing behind me and I felt the collision with my body, I felt the impact shudder through my body as the bullet tore through my chest. I coughed and muttered, "A life... For a life maybe?" I laughed and fell forward, hitting the ground, I saw at the wall, someone watching me.

I smiled to myself, wondering who would bother to watch a man who was probably going to die...

Henry was trying to hold the breach in the wall along with the Lyons Pride when he was Sarah Lyons go down. With their leaders distracted the men started losing coherence. "Get the Miniguns redeployed to cover the breach! 2nd squad move over to support the MG!" Henry pointed to a sniper, "You there come with me we're going hunting!" Henry crawled up to the wall and watched for muzzle flashes in the distance. Soon the sniper they were looking for revealed himself, he was singing like a drunken idiot and shooting left and right. Turning to the brotherhood sniper he said "When he exposes himself to shoot, take him out." Soon the enemy sniper rose up to shout something about the Lone Wanderer then there was a loud CRACK! Henry wasn't sure if he was dead but brotherhood snipers were good. "I hope we avenged Sarah, now lets get back down and see how 2nd squad is doing" Henry rose up and sprinted back down the stairs and started shooting at the Invisible faction's troops.

Dakayev was moving along when he saw the captain with the LW. He was hit twice in the chestplate and he was getting pummeled. He tried to speak again.

" Captain, what the hell are you doing! She isn't dead,!? Time to die!"

Dakayev mistook the forgiveness of the Captain and took aim at Sarah Lyons. He aimed at her and laughed. He pulled the trigger, thrusting his body into the air while the gun blasted its bullet into some unfortunate Brotherhood soldier in the way, lobbing his pelvis into gorey bits.

" Yesli na atchiznu nagryanyet bieda, pozaviot soldata truba. Armiya may?, ty na strazhe vsiegda! Ty - may? lyubov i sudyba!.................."

He muttered his last lyrics while he fell to the floor unconscious. The last thing he saw before passing out was the man with the flamer, yelling to fire on him.

Jugger heard someone talking behind him. He turned around, hiding behind a wall as more sniper fire kicked dirt up around him.
He saw an Invisible, and raised his Flamer on instinct. How'd he let one get through?
But wait...this was different.
He watched as the person grinned, talking to the Lone Wanderer and woke him from his stupor.
Jugger lowered his gun, thinking that maybe...this was peaceful.
Once the rifle was raised, his mind went on red alert again. He grabbed a Knight next to him.
"Shoot! Shoot, damnit, shoot!" He pointed at the strange new Invisible.
He didn't wait to see if the Knight took heed, because he turned around again as the heard the rifle fall to the ground.
The invisible had given some medicine to Paladin Lyons. Jugger let out a sigh of relief which quickly turned to a gasp as the man was shot anyway.

Things seemed to slow down after that. He stared as the life bled out of the man's eyes...then he walked over and knelt down next to him.He knew he was dead, and it was probably his fault.
He slipped the bullet out of his pocket and dropped it onto the corpse. "I believe this belongs to you." He sighed again, and got back up, fueled with rage and ready to burn some more.

"Captain!" Nate shouted, as he saw his captain collapse to the ground.

He began running at full speed, avoiding all shots that were fired at him. He opened fire into a Brotherhood troop who had raised his rifle at him, Nathan's rounds quickly pierced his armor, sending blood spurting out of the lifeless shell that was his power armor. Nate leaped over the corpse of the late Brotherhood troop, as he made his way to the captain. This felt like deja vu.

Nate tackled an opposing troop to the ground, tearing off his helmet before unleashing a fury of bullets into his skull. Blood poured out of the head of the deceased soldier, he was unrecognizable, his face completely torn apart. Nate began storming towards the captain once again, he ran faster than he thought possible, jumping over the corpses of friend and foe alike. He had finally arrived at the captain's aid, and leaned over to him. He allowed the Lone Wanderer to leave, realizing that that is what his captain had wanted.

"Sir! You're getting out of here!" Nate said, as he lifted his captain over his shoulder, and began running to the best of his abilities, back towards the fortress of the Invisible Faction.

(OOC I'm going to be gone for like 2 hours as I have an exam. Brotherhood people just keep fighting until Francois says the battle has finished. Hopefully I will be back in time. Oh and Enclave if the LW saw your character even near him or Sarah the LW would kill him no matter what. I'll leave it up to Francois but I don't think your post would work.)

As I was running Jugger came up beside me and started to cover me.

"Thanks Jugger" I yelled.

Suddenly I heard another familiar voice, I turned around to see Ryan. I was filled with murderous rage, so much so I could hardly hear him speak, he wasn't making much sense anyway. He got closer, I would have pulled out my gun and killed him right there, if I wasn't holding Sarah. I don't know why I let him inject her, maybe deep down I knew she was going to die and this was the only way she would live. Either way I took the risk. She woke up, screaming in pain. I looked at the man and said.

"I gave you your warning Ryan, I am a man of my word but you have surprised me. I'm undecided on whether to kill you or not, only time will tell. If your sniper isn't already dead, tell him this is his chance to leave or I will hunt him day and night, eventually I will kill him, slowly."

I stepped back and saw a bullet go through the mans chest, I turned around and kept running I just had to get Sarah to safety. I managed to get her to the citadels hospital. Without a single word or though I ran quickly out into the battle. I pulled out my rifle and began to kill every enemy I came across.
