However, you could make a duplicate race that does not have the scripts attached, add the armour "tail" as normal lootable armour (as well as the invisible boots). Then you would have an NPC that looked like a Kheran swimming around without too much problem

Else, I can always make the Kheran as creatures and add them to the waters in this fashion (as friendly creatures that would follow the player using dialogue like any other companion creature).
this sounds even better. i can work with resources without problems, i added your golden saint boys (the creature model resource) to my game which wasn't any difficult. if you could do this, i would be the most grateful person around :drool:
