The King And I

Wow, stunning chapter, didn't see that coming at all. It's interesting when a good book transforms into a kick in the face. That's 2 sad things for me this week which shouldn't necessarily be bothering me so much :(.

A kitten I was going to adopt from someone in my girlfriend's neighborhood got run down by a car a few days ago and I gotta say this hit me at about the same calibur as that did. I'm a wierdo and probly a sissy, I know, but what can I say other than KEEP WRITING! YOU CAN'T STOP NOW!

Ghostpaw, I am so very sorry about your kitten. I was a mess when I lost my cat. All my love and many condolences. x

but for a brief mad moment I felt like charging to whereever you were typing out the story and demanding that you resurrect [her].

I'm afraid she was doomed from the start, ever since her character was created. As I wrote more and more of their interaction I began to feel really cruel, because I was laying on the saccharine with a shovel and obviously, I knew what was coming. All I can say is, it's necessary, and by the time we get to the end you will see why. (By the way, you were absolutely correct about whom vs which - thank you, I have changed it accordingly!)

I must say I am surprised and extremely gratified by everyone's reactions. To know that people care about your characters to the extent that something like this actually moves them... well, it's pretty amazing. I also feel like a total beast for upsetting you all. I'm sorry. x

Can I also throw out a huge, HUGE thank you for helping this thread achieve 200 posts? Setting up a second thread is very exciting - small pleasures, I know! I am incredibly happy that you are all enjoying reading. So, without further ado:

THANK YOU! xxx

Just a hint, something I never thought of - before your last post on here, put a link on the first post and the last post of this thread (for the new thread) - everyone always links back to the old story, but forgets to link forward also. - Your writing is what brought it to 200 posts, you are Awesome!

Ahaha, bless them. Your parents read your fanfiction? That's so fantastic, I wish mine did! I suppose I just assumed they wouldn't be interested because they don't know the games. Are yours ES fans or do they just like to read your writing for its own sake?

No, my father plays some flying video game, but that is it for the both of them. My mother read the Harry Potter series and loved it, so I thought her imagination would handle this. Then I set up a picture gallery of everything in the story so she can actually see what she is reading about, that helped a lot too.

I agree. My parents both like comedy, and my story has kept them rolling. It is nice to be able to show them a little about what I am doing too. (edit)
