The King sure likes his "Johnny Guitar"

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:07 pm

So I was up in the King's room in order to update a quest from him. He was sitting next to the jukebox. Johnny Guitar came on the radio. I can't stand this song, so I switched the jukebox off. I immediately lost faction with The Kings and the King himself jumped out of his chair attacked me guns blazing at which point Cass shot him dead. The King was dead, plastered across his pool table; all over a terrible ballad from the '50s.

The jukebox is probably set so that it is owned by the King's faction. Activating/deactivating would be tantamount to stealing something from him, in the eyes of the game.

But yeah, still is funny.

I'm pretty sure it was intentional.

It was red on the HUD. I just didn't expect to be all-out attacked over it. I accidentally stole something from Chet previously and all he did was take it back from me while implying I was a moron.

Yes. So am I. I didn't mean to imply it is a bug, if that is how it came across. I was just explaining why he reacted like that.

I was in McCarran Airport earlier and forgot to crouch when digging through their garbage cans, took 2-3 empty soda bottles from the trash. Needless to say, I got gunned down. Who knew empty sunset sarsaprilla bottles meant so much to them? :bonk:

I have to wonder if a dev just sticks to the whole map to 'take from this and it is stealing' or something, because I'm sure in reality, no one would give a crap if you dug through 200 year old dumpsters and trashcans.

I wish. I immediately quick-loaded to get back to my quest at hand; not much free time for New Vegas now that the 9 month old is crawling all over the house.
